Of course, they weren't going to hear Barghest out, they thought she was part of the forces within the trenches and fortress nearby, and any aiming at her wasn't intentional, rather, they were trying to get the opposing forces out, which they were successful in given the sudden charge from said location.

However, in all the fighting, a cannon would be shot, it's trajectory had Barghest in the way, and it was noticed as suddenly, a young, red-haired boy in knight armor with a long coat consisting of different colours appeared in front of Barghest.

First, he'd strike a brown rock colour on his coat with his sword, similar to lighting a match as the sword would be imbued with it's colour and power, rock manipulation, which he used to bring up a thick chunk of rock to act as cover for them, stopping the cannonball at a point.

"Are you okay, miss..." The young knight trailed off, his name is Cole Cordovan, and he was the captain of the forces that had just come out, it was him who made the call based on the enemy fire, but he had taken the risk to see Barghest, who looked unallied to either side, got to safety, but what got him was her towering over him quite a bit.

"I-uhm, we can talk back at our base, let me get you there while I help handle this." Once again striking his coat, this time on an patch of earth-brown, giving his sword a glow of the same colour again, he'd use it's power of earth shifting to make a trench back to their base, it was only a temporary thing however as the earth would return once used, plus, the hard-rock barrier was close to collapsing, so it was best to get moving.

BARGHEST FIRST FELT like she was falling. A rather decent height, it felt like. What fully roused her to her senses, however, was the harsher slam of her body against something soft, and dry-feeling— rather rough, too.

She was thankful enough to have had her armor upon her for the time... alas, the landing had shaken her body, enough to leave her slightly dizzy. However, as she rose from the rugged surface, she let a low growl loose between her teeth.

Around her was an open field, its features torn and blasted in places... ravaged, as through battle. Needless to say, this was not Chaldea, nor its simulator. The faerie searched the air in a panic as she got upon an armored knee, looking for any magical sign or mark of an exit-point to have fallen from.

But... in the end, she could only scowl to the sky. "Of course, there is none..."

However, something else soon caught her ears, her gaze— over a tall hill to her left, the sounds of marching, and chatter, all from an assembly of what looked to be... soldiers? They looked to be a far distance off, in the least.

The Servant soon rose upon her sabatons, leaning back to ease the strain upon her body, and turned towards the group, greeting them with a loud call:

"Hail, fellows! Alas, I am rather... erm..."

Wait. Something wasn't right. They were getting louder, and closer— raising tools—

A harsh impact met her breastplate, nearly forcing her off her feet. Her legs were quick, however, allowing her to plant her boots to the ground before she quickly shoved a gauntlet ahead of her face. A couple more projectiles glanced and sheared off of her armor then, and as her weight stabilized, they did little to move her body.

The same, however, could not be said of her peace of mind. "W-Wait— I SAID, WAIT!! If ye of harsh gaze do not... cease thy volley..."

Already, she felt those blazing chains lashing out from her gauntlet, swatting at the barrage that came. With a spare hand, she gripped at the mana coalescing at her palm, its fiery light glaring, forming, into the outline of her blade...

"—Rrrgh, confound it! Stop this, lest I use force...! I am armed!!" she roared aloud. "Do you hear me!?"

Weiss tried not to look offended at the SDC being brought up, sure, she was trying to do her own thing, but it was still something she was part of in some form, however, Rosanne would explain a slight issue with that.

"They would be lucky to get it back to your world without those fighting for better pay for the import and export of Quartz, it's part of why our world ended up in the warring state you will see it should this trip take you around Willowherb."

Hearing that reminder, Lily would look upset, she was a young queen having to deal with a world at war.

"I have tried arranging peace and understand with the other Kingdoms of our world who fight for that, as well as attempting to annex land they believe they should own, we're fighting over something we can come together and further our unity as people of this world, yet we are fighting, some for their Kingdom, others for themselves, it was the reason I created the Seven Braves, less to be a specialized army, and more those who work on my behalf."

Other Kingdoms still saw them as that army however, given who was involved in it, big names with known reputations, it was some of them entering Remnant that this whole linking of worlds came to be known to all involved.

Qrow nods, looking a bit serious. He supposes this was the best team to discuss differences and those with ill intent and malice.

"Then, you'll want to know about Salem, she's our biggeest threat at the moment, her group, her Grimm, their stealing of Dust. If Quartz can be harvested like Dust, which I assume it can be by the name alone, you'll want to guard anyone dealing with it and any stores of it."

It wasn't like they knew everything about Salem, but having Oscar there would be helpful to fill in any holes he couldn't answer.

"We... may want to discuss the Schnee Dust Company as well. They may not be coming with ill intent but they will take advantage of the fact that they could harvest your Quartz to boost sales." Qrow shoots an apologetic glance at Weiss.

George would try and trust Velvet's word on the matter, though he still didn't feel convinced, maybe if he knew where and why Coco was the way she was during their first meeting, he wouldn't feel so...concerned having both their teams team up for a mission.

One the day of the mission, George still looked unsure, though his team mates had noticed, and even they were trying to convince him Coco was not going to kick his butt for a joke or looking at the members of CFVY a certain way, all that remained was for both teams to be assembled and sent to where they were going.

With a tilt of her head, her ears twitching ever-so-slightly, she listened to what George had to say. Again, she let out a small giggle – obviously amused, obviously finding this to be a bit adorable that he was nervous.

That’s the point of this mission – to see if we could work together.❞ Velvet smiled again, going to stand on the tips of her toes and gently pat his shoulder. ❝You’re worry is understandable, but she isn’t that scary now.
