friday evening, the night before a much needed day off. and usually, with this in mind, juliet would've had dinner out , or picked something up on the way back. tonight though, she finds comfort in food at home. feet already bare & cozy in her favorite pajamas. humming to herself while she cooks. at some point, however, her dog, max, who had been happily padding around the kitchen, decided to leave. in fact, practically bolting into the living room, where william is sitting on the couch. she rests her head on his lap. little traitor , jules thinks, chuckling to herself. then her gaze lifts, and she catches william staring back. he regards her quietly: ghost of a smile at his lips. she gives a small, silly little wave in return. the corners of her eyes crinkle;   her palm sliding across the expanse of her belly. how do i tell him ? a familiar little  voice asks / half overjoyed and terrified in equal measure. that i'm pregnant ?
