IN REGARDS TO THE FAMED RESTRUCTURING:PARTTWO! SUMMARY,LOOSELY FINALIZING SOME IDEAS FOR ‘CHELLE. ( * )POSTING THIS IN TERMS OF RESERVATIONS / FAIRNESS.
Hi, it’s me again !!! So, I know that I’m pretty much leaving Rioh as is, but I’m a little torn when it comes to Michelle. Being that Rioh will likely be an ‘01 to ‘00 liner, I’m considering making some heavier changes to Michelle in order to make her ( kind of ) a lot older and having her career be more established, but I’m not 100% on that yet. So, if possible, I’d love to ask for help in hopes that I can better make up my mind before tomorrow! ♡ Below will be a little run-down of ideas for Michelle—one will be her at a similar age in a similar group, the other will be the more drastic revamp. A poll can be found here if any of you would like to cast a vote, but I understand if not as I know we’re all trying to figure things out for our muses right now !
OPTION 1,  leaving her a ‘99 liner likely in Andromeda or Candy — My whole original plan for her was to have her be pushed merely for visual appeal as opposed to any intense musical talents by landing modeling jobs, brand deals, cfs, and some acting roles. If she is left as is, she’ll slowly make her way into being marketed that way in whichever group she ends up in, and her faceclaim will be left as Kim Minjeong ( Winter ) of æspa. Not much changed tbh. Positions I’m looking at for this version are as follows:
●  LEAD RAPPER, VOCAL OF ANDROMEDA. ●  LEAD DANCER, VOCAL OF CANDY.
OPTION 2,  aging her up to a ‘93 — ‘94 liner and placing her in Lily, Calypso, or Selene. In this version, she’s already a pre-established “visual” type with some solid acting roles, cfs, etc. on her résumé. However, she’s getting a lot more bored of the career because she never really saw this for herself and wants out so bad, but was sorta coerced into extending her contract. That, and she’d have lots of pressure being applied to her from her family as she supports them a lot amongst other things. Faceclaims I’m considering are T-ARA’s Jiyeon and Apink’s Naeun. The positions I have in mind for her are as follows, but these are flexible if need be.
●  MAIN DANCER, LEAD VOCAL, RAPPER of LILY. ●  LEAD VOCAL, RAPPER of SELENE. ●  LEAD VOCAL of CALYPSO.
I’ve decided to close the poll because option 1 ( Kim Minjeong / Winter & a spot in Candy or Andromeda ) won with an overwhelming 100% so... that made things extremely easy !! Thanks for everyone who took the time to vote. At this time, I don’t think anyone wants either of the positions I’m considering for her, but if that changes, feel free to IM me so we can discuss further !! I’ll also take this time to let everyone know that I, too, will be archiving Rioh’s and Michelle’s blogs in order to get a fresher, cleaner start for them. Thanks for reading !! ♡

IN REGARDS TO THE FAMED ROLEPLAY RESTRUCTURING ! SUMMARY,  DISCUSSING POSSIBLE POSITIONS FOR MISH. ( * )  POSTING THIS IN TERMS OF FUTURE RESERVATIONS.
Hi again, friends !! Like my post with Rioh, this is a post for me to open up discussions for future reservations in regards to Famed’s restructuring and my second muse, Michelle! ♡ Presently, the positions I think work best for her are as follows: LEAD RAPPER & VOCAL OF ANDROMEDA, LEAD RAPPER & VOCAL OF CANDY, or LEAD DANCER & VOCAL OF CANDY. As she’s so new, I totally understand that other muses who’ve been here longer may want those positions and I’m happy to do heavier revamping for her if needed, so as stated in my other post, this isn’t staking a claim on anything—I’m just letting it be known where I’m at with muse #2 to ensure that I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with in regards to their muses / revamps / all that fun stuff! ♡

INT.  BROOKLYN THE BURGER JOINT, GANGNAM ● LATE PM. *  ♡  WRITTEN, WITH LOVE, FOR PARK DURI OF KNIGHT !
Honestly speaking, this restaurant is one of the first places she’s been in Korea that truly reminds her of home. The classic diner-style food, the atmosphere, and the “vibe,” in general, lend themselves to American culture fairly well. That, and well, she’s able to indulge in one of her favorite guilty pleasure meals: a giant cheeseburger, a side of french fries, and a milkshake to sweeten things up. Would BC Entertainment threaten to destroy her if they knew what she’s currently putting into her body? Absolutely—but she doesn’t really care much. Lately, when she looks in the mirror, she’s not incredibly pleased with how thin she’s become. Ever since she agreed to follow the eating plan provided by the company’s dietitian, she’s felt hungry and undernourished, but now that she’s at a/n ( underweight ) size that the executives approve of, Michelle figures that she can “cheat” a little bit here and there; mostly to keep her delicately curvaceous figure mostly intact. She realizes that the standards of beauty are hugely different in the East from what they are in the West, and given that she works in Asia, she’s contractually obligated to maintain her appearance to “fit the mold” there, so to speak—especially since she was street-cast based on her visual alone—but that doesn’t mean that she personally enjoys it.
What she fails to realize is that she’s not the only one put under a microscope and told to look flawless at all times, and by choosing to ignore her meal plans, she’s essentially raising a middle finger up to all the other idols who are in the same predicament. If they all have to suffer, then she should have to, too, right? She has some pretty strong opinions on that subject in general, but for tonight, she hopes to just disconnect from those troublesome thoughts and focus in on the man seated before her—one that she felt a magnetic pull towards upon first meeting him. It’s not as though she’s interested in him romantically—not at all—but there’s a sense of warmth she feels from Park Duri that’s comforting to her; one that she thinks she needs in order to be better adjusted to the ever-changing tides of being a public figure. As he’s had more experience than she has, and has mostly remained free of any “damage” to his career, she hopes picking his brain will lead to some peace of mind, especially since she’s about to make her début.
Reaching forward, she grabs onto one of her fries and eats it; smiling at him as she chews. “So, I don’t think I can thank you enough for agreeing to meet up with me tonight.” She hums, taking a moment to peek around at how shockingly vacant the late-night eatery is. “I guess I was just feeling a little lost in everything and I don’t know—you seemed like the perfect person to talk to about it. I hope it’s okay of me to pull you away from whatever plans you may have had...” It’s not like he owes her anything. Michelle just has a feeling that he’s a sweet guy, and that’s why he’s present tonight. “I would hate it if I was interrupting something or whatever...”

INT.  UNDISCLOSED MUSIC SHOW SET ● EARLY MORNING. *  ♡  MICHELLE PERFORMS ❝ ONE&ONLY ❞  →  AUG 2021.
Throughout her career thus far, Michelle’s had to wear multiple hats—all of which she’s never, ever bothered to try on before. Whether it’s singing, dancing, or even acting, she’s been thrown into the lion’s den and is expected to perform well. Sure, being given direction makes things easier to handle—that, plus all of the editing that’s done to make her appear better than she is—but that doesn’t mean she truly believes she’s good at any of it. If she can please the team of creative management, then that means she’s doing her job, and that’s all that matters to her at the moment. Over the better part of the last year, she’s been anticipating her schedule to fill up with more activities, and as of July, her agenda is steadily becoming more erratic. In August, though, things bubble up to a boiling point. Not only is she on-set filming the second season of Chroma’s début drama, but she’s also promoting her solo track. Being in front of crowds isn’t a foreign idea to her as she has lots of experience being judged, criticized, and watched by plenty due to her past in figure skating, but this is a totally different approach to performance than she realizes. She felt confident on the ice, but now that she’s no longer gracefully gliding about and jumping into double axels, she’s pretty terrified of how she’ll be received by the public at large.
What if they’re quick to pick up on the fact that she’s not the best singer? While she feels most comfortable ( heavily ) relying on the backing track for added support, she’s aware that, at some point, she’ll be asked to sing live... and what then? Michelle’s sure she’ll astonish people, but she’s not convinced she’ll do so in anyway that’s deemed positive. All she can do is prepare herself for when that moment comes, but thankfully, her début stage is pre-recorded... which brings an overwhelming sense of ease to swathe her. If all she has to do is focus on dancing, as well as her facial expressions, she can potentially pull off a charming display of her “talents.” After all, she’s been told ( in fairly blatant terms ) to focus more on performance and visuals as opposed to flawless arrays of musicality, so if she heeds BCE’s advice, maybe she’ll have nothing to worry about? It’s not as if they have her learning choreography that’s far outside of what she’s capable of, so if she can remember everything as instructed, she’ll be fine.
That’s what she tells self-soothes herself with, at least.
Before she knows it, she’s standing centerstage—the harsh, incandescent lighting from above stunningly illuminating her petite stature. Her ash-blonde locks glow in the warmth, her pearly white “soft-lolita” style dress beams bright, and as she hears the first beat, she snaps into a zone she hasn’t gone into in quite sometime now. In truth, the performance aspect of skating was something she adored more than she thought she would, so she channels the same “fire” she’d create whenever she powerfully used every square inch of the ice to impress the crowd. Hopefully it has a similar effect now. Turns out, there’s a lot to remember during stages like this, but she navigates through each motion as rehearsed—focusing mostly on the meaning of the track and trying to convey it through movements. Emotion is equally as important as precision, and Michelle thinks putting an emphasis on that will really sell what she’s trying to accomplish.
When all is said and done, she somehow expects to see numbers present on a scoreboard to inform her of how she did, but alas, that doesn’t happen. Instead, she lets the cheers take its place—her audience responding seemingly well to her presentation. What she’s scared of the most, though, is how netizens are going to react once everything’s uploaded to the internet. It’s them that have no fear or remorse in tearing a person apart without ever meeting them. So, as she rides the high of her adrenaline rush, a lot of it settles into her stomach and causes flashes of anxiety. Now, she can’t help but wonder if all of these volatile emotions are worth the effort, but even if she decides they’re not, there’s not much she can do about it now.
Michelle just hopes she did a passable job. Not perfect or outstanding. Just passable.

fmdtaeyong:
“ah,” he chooses not to acknowledge her comparison to the guys in her company because anything he has to say to that would come off as asshole-ish instead of self-deprecating if he’s not going to share that he is one of them, but he warms up to her at the mention of being new to korea. he remembers being new to korea and though he hadn’t been anywhere near outgoing enough to approach strangers at coffee shops to talk to, and he still isn’t, he can sympathize with what she must be going through. “it can take some getting used to, but people won’t fault you for not knowing idols. just always assume you need to be talking to people in the most polite form possible. that’s the number one tip i learned.”
“i moved here myself twelve years ago,” he opens up, switching over to english as his response as to whether he can speak it. it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. less than a year and he’ll have spent equal parts of his life in san francisco and seoul. he’d spent so much of his life hung up on his birthplace, that he stills feels like he’s brand new to the city at times.
he wants to tell her that if she’s passionate about debuting, neither telling strangers she’s a bc trainee nor having coffee in public with him are the best ideas, but there again comes that pesky problem of the omission he’s committed himself to. he glances down at his wrist, an action that has no payoff when he remembers he hadn’t worn a watch today. “uh, yeah,” he says, looking up, and it’s his sympathy for her situation that makes him agree to stay in spite of his wariness of new people and socializing with strangers, “if you’re not meeting anyone. i wouldn’t want to intrude on your plans.”
his order’s called shortly after hers thanks to its simplicity, so he grabs it before joining michelle. “if you want sweets, you should eat them. life’s too short to let anyone else tell you what you can and can’t eat. uh, allergies and actual health concerns notwithstanding.” his fingers play with the cardboard heat guard of his cup as he glances around the cafe, taking a moment to really look at it now that she’s pointed out it’s supposed to be standout enough to make some list of cute coffee shops. “so how long have you been in korea?”
His comment to her about adjusting better to Korea causes her smile to widen a little; her sights still set on him as he speaks. Honestly, this is the first time that someone’s put it in simple terms instead of telling her what honorifics to use and when, or going into full detail pertaining to why she’s acting rude instead of just telling her not to do it again. The more direct approach seems to work best for her, and it always has. She has her former coach to thank for that. “That’s... probably some of the best advice I’ve received here.” Michelle responds, glancing at the floor before looking back towards him—the ambient noise of the coffee shop working as the perfect soundtrack to their first meeting. While she’s not necessarily romanticizing what it’s like to meet someone over a cup of espresso, she still thinks the circumstances are cute. Sue her. “I guess I just feel like I’m supposed to have all this knowledge now that it’s my career path, but it’s nice knowing that you don’t need to know everything about K-pop to make it work. It just gets a little terrifying whenever the other trainees, or your group-mates, get all the references and you just stand there kinda dumbfounded and lost.” Was she admitting too much? She hoped not.
When he switches to English to continue speaking, she thanks the heavens above; feeling a bit of warmth wash over her at the familiarity.  “Twelve years ago? Wow, that’s a long time! Though, I’m sure it feels like nothing to you at this point. I’m kinda hoping that happens to me sooner or later. I haaaate feeling that, like, new-girl-at-school mentality around everyone.” Hopefully her analogy makes sense. She doesn’t want to sound like a complete moron in front of a possible new friend. “Is it cool if I ask where you’re from? You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. I’m from California—Valley Glen, LA. It’s... honestly nothing to brag about.” Did she go to the same high school that’s been used as the set of many television series and films? Yes. Does she think that’s cool? Not really, so she doesn’t feel the need to offer that fun fact for conversation.
At that instant, he agrees to sit with her, and at his words, she pivots and immediately leads him over to a more “private” corner area in the back of the café; one that’d be easier for them to talk and do whatever it is they feel like doing. “No worries, you’re not keeping me. I actually have a pretty clear day. At present, I’m like, kind of sitting in the waiting room until my schedule picks up. I’m trying to enjoy the small break as much as I can.” There’s still an air of mystery around him that she likes, and she finds him all the more attractive when he mentions that she should enjoy her dessert all on her own. It’s mostly because she agrees with him one-hundred percent, but it also shows that he’s smooth when talking to women—another dangerous trait she loves.
“Aw, you’re a guy after my own heart. I don’t really subscribe to all the ‘dieting’ bullshit in the first place, so it’s nice to know I have someone on my side.” With that, she takes her seat and sets her items down; humming at the sight of her cake and beverage together. Before she digs in, though, she looks over to him; eyes set on his for a brief moment as he asks his question. “I moved here to go to school around, like... a little over a year ago? Maybe a year and a half?” It seems like much longer to her, but when she took the time to think about it, that’s the answer. “I was going to start the nursing program at SNU, but on my first day, I got street-cast. I had this whole plan for my life, but that casting agent kind of fucked things up, and I’m not sure if it’s all going to be worth it or not, but here I am.” After she’s done, she takes her first bite of her treat; humming at the rich, sweet flavor; making sure to properly swallow before speaking again.
“Are you sure you don’t wanna try some? It’s like heaven, oh my god.”

fmdhyunsoo:
hyunsoo offered the other a slight smile as she wrapped her arm around his shoulders. he normally wasn’t really one for touching and didn’t really enjoy people clinging to him or hanging on to him (unless it was yuanjun or one of his most trusted friends, of course) but there was no harm done with the gesture, so he brushed it off. it was no big deal. often times he felt like his entire existence wasn’t that big of a deal either - he didn’t really see himself as a handsome celebrity or anything along those lines. he offered a shrug in response, waving his hand briefly. “my car isn’t anything special,” he replied, “i just use it to get around, since i can’t really take public transport…” the last thing he needed or wanted was to be hounded on the subway. “that’s good though, i’m glad you haven’t been waiting long.”
as the other linked her arms with him, hyunsoo had to admit he had an internal panic for a moment. they weren’t exactly super close friends to begin with, and he was a taken guy (not that she knew anyway). plus, fans wouldn’t take too well to news that he’d been seen linking arms with a girl. so, albeit very awkwardly, he pulled his arm back, hoping that she wouldn’t be offended - he just had too much to be careful about. “ah, i mean i don’t need to buy anything, but i guess if i find something it won’t hurt? i might get something for my sister if i see something she likes,” he replied, following her into the store. “ziozia?” it wasn’t exactly a store hyunsoo shopped or even looked at much. he was rather particular with his outfits, never straying from his designated colour palette. “ah, it’s okay, you don’t have to. there’s other charm members who would probably more fun to dress up than me honestly.”
It’s become apparent that Michelle has yet to truly master what’s okay ( and what’s not okay ) in Korea, and even though she’s had to learn some things the hard way, she’s just glad that she’s at least being told what’s right from wrong. If she had to do it all on her own, she has no idea if she’ll ever be regarded as someone with manners and proper etiquette in the East. That, and in truth, she’s not necessarily afraid of failure. Growing up on the ice has taught her that being able to make mistakes only leads to correcting them, and she takes that very seriously. Being human immediately correlates with being flawed, and though she realizes that it’s commonplace in her new “home” to expect perfection at all times, she knows that that’s not exactly attainable, so... why should she try so hard to make an impossibility possible? In her mind, there’s not a bigger waste of time than that. What’s sad to her, though, is that many of her peers in the company go through hell in order to meet standards set in place by their audience or by their seniors. While she understands wanting to be good, she’ll never comprehend why anyone would want to be flawless. No one deserves that looming pressure over their head all of the time.
So, when Hyunsoo instinctively unlinks their arms and pulls away, Michelle takes it as a sign that he’s not interested in physical contact, and instead of pushing things further only to make him more uncomfortable, she accepts it and moveds forward. Lord knows she’s been in many situations where she’s been touched without wanting to be, so she’d never bully someone into giving her affection if that’s not what they want. “God, I’m sorry if that was too much... I guess I’m just used to, like, holdin’ hands or hookin’ arms with all my friends back home that it felt natural.” She added, smiling in an attempt to lighten the mood again. “Also, you’re so fucking cute, oh my god? I can totally help you choose some things for your sister! Do you think she and I are similar sizes?” At the inquiry, she does a small spin in place for kicks, then nudges him. “Honestly, we may have better luck searching for her instead of me. I can’t help but feel like all that I’ve found to wear here is, like, really matronly almost... and I’m not the type that wants to look like an innocent housewife waiting at home for her husband, you know?”
With that, she guides them into MIXXO; the ambience welcoming and aesthetically pleasant. Now, all she has to do is figure out where to start. “I really need to find some dresses for the summertime. Does your sister wear dresses a lot or is she more into jeans and tees?” When Hyunsoo tells her that he wouldn’t be fun to style, she rolls her eyes. “Really?” She queries, pausing to look at him. “C’mon, you can’t be serious. Everyone here is always talking about proportions, and well, I feel like you may have hit the genetic jackpot when it comes to that. All those angles? All that height? You’re a beautiful canvas.” It’s easy for her to sense that he may have a little bit of confidence issues, and though she may be wrong, Michelle’s now made it her goal to help him out with that. He’s a fucking idol, after all. Aren’t all idols gorgeous by default?
“You’re making me want to completely forget about all my shopping so we can focus on you instead. We can get you in some super hot clothes and set you free to woo everyone around you! What do you think?”

fmdjeonghwa:
a pair of huggers. well, might as well carve out a little best friend spot for this new person in her life. was there the chance that they could get to know each other and decide they actually hate one another? sure. so too was the possibility they would be abducted by aliens in the next five minutes. take every opportunity and run with it, that’s where jeonghwa’s motto would end.
“really? that’s surprising. i feel like every time i’ve gone to california, everybody’s been nice to me.” potentially that could have been her own lack of understanding in cultural differences, or some kind of obliviousness. either way, she’d prefer to keep to her own thoughts on her experiences -and hoped they wouldn’t change.
rorin was somewhat of a strange name, nothing like some of the others she’d heard, though, and paired with her american name didn’t feel so weird. one of the full house girls was named michelle. “thank you. my parents actually named me after uhm junghwa. they’re not big music type people, but they really liked her back in the day. and for what it’s worth, i think rorin is a cool name. who doesn’t wanna be a little different?”
“oh please, honey,” jeonghwa said momentarily in english. her hand reached out to wrap over one of michelle’s wrists. “you don’t have to be so apologetic. treat me like a friend,” then, in her pause, wondered if she could open them up to casual speech. she tabled it for it moment. “okay, let me, like, catch up. your accent, so, i don’t really think there’s anything wrong with it. i like people from the states. and, oh my god, like, you’re either totally lying about not knowing lucid or you’re psychic because i am a rapper. –well, not like a rapper rapper, but i rap. we have this dual concept thing, so we do this innocent rock sound and then a nightmare-y rock sound, and in the latter i rap. also-” jeonghwa flicked her bob back as if she had long hair to flip over her shoulder, “thank you.” a small breathy laugh made for her transition into the next. “now that that’s out the way, how old are you? i’m twenty-four. if it makes you more comfortable, we could speak casually.”
In truth, it’s nice to have a friendly, somewhat wholesome conversation with another woman. It’s not been often that that’s happened to Michelle, and it’s not because she’s never tried to make friends with other girls either. It’s just that, when she’s attempted to, it never turns out how she intends for it to. Maybe that’s yet another flaw of California that she’s noticing now that she’s no longer there. Maybe she’s just bad with words and communicating with members of the same-sex. At this point, she has no idea, but sitting here with Jeonghwa is a wonderful change—one that she hopes doesn’t become marred in anyway. Needless to say, she’s keeping her fingers crossed; hoping that she can break this “curse” she’s been under since junior high.
Hearing that the older of them has had great experiences in CA makes Michelle smile, and she’s glad for it, honestly. She knows how superficial it can be, especially the Los Angeles area. “Oh? I love that for you!” She interjects, then proceeds. “Maybe you can rub some of your good vibes off on me sometime? I, clearly, need them...” Her tone is delicately teasing, and to emphasize it, she sends the brunette another wink for added playfulness. “Where in California have you been? I hope it lived up to your expectations!” That comment sounds a little weird, but she’s heard plenty of stories from people who visit or relocate there, but then are disappointed at the reality of it all once they arrive. That, and as a native, she tends to be a little jaded about her home-state. Then again, don’t most people have a love-hate relationship with their homes?
In the midst of everything though, Jeonghwa reminds her to stop being so nervous and overly apologetic, and honestly speaking, that’s probably the best thing that could’ve happened right then and there. It allowed her to pause briefly and take a deep breath, a kind smile now tugging at the corners of her lips. “Thanks for that,” she added, the contact an extra comfort that she’s reveling in before pulling away. “Not gonna lie, being someplace new and having to like, relearn social customs has been... interesting to say the least. I feel like a few people have scoffed at me and called me rude when I literally have no idea what I did, but that could just be me being a total dumbass. Honestly, that’s a pretty high likelihood.” Her speech becomes more casual now that she’s not feeling so buttoned-up, and even more so when she discovers that her hunch of the other being a rapper was correct.
“No, shit. Are you kidding? I totally just guessed based on your vibe! Maybe I should ditch being an idol and be a fortune teller or somethin’ instead.” Michelle added, laughing freely. “That’s so fucking cool, though—oh my god, I wish my group was having a more ‘rock’-like sound and concept. From what I’m gathering, we’ll be pretty vanilla and generic, but then again, I don’t really know how best to judge different concepts here. Maybe it’ll be more fun than I think it’ll be.” For the first time it feels like she’s able to just be honest to someone about how she feels. She always fears discussing her opinions with the other Chroma members in case she causes tension for differing from them.
“Twenty-four? We’re not so far off, then. I’m twenty-two... or, well, I guess I’m twenty-three here. See? I still don’t have my shit together and what’s embarrassing is that it’s been a little more than a year since I arrived. Guess I’m a lost cause.” With that, she sits back further in her seat, then takes another sip of her beverage. “If you don’t mind my asking, what do you think is the best way to really lean into rapping in K-pop? I’m supposed to be getting better at it as I think I’ll be doing more of it as time goes on, but I feel like I sound so fucking bad when I try...”

fmdchunhwa:
On the rare occasions that Lucid has a bit of a looser schedule, Chunhwa tends to spend the night at either Andy’s or her grandparents’. Her boyfriend’s place is preferably for a multitude of reasons but especially for privacy and not having to share an apartment with a bunch of other people even if it’s just for one night, while she enjoys going home to her grandparents’ so she can meet up with her sister more easily and spend most of her time nagging at the younger girl. This time around, it was Andy’s. She had missed her — theirs — animals as it’s been a while since the last time she got the opportunity of spending the night. With another comeback just around the corner, it means her time is going to be even further shortened and she grabs onto every opportunity possible.
But Chunhwa had been too lazy to cook breakfast, especially with Andy already gone when she had woken up. Her best alternative was to find a café, one that wasn’t as annoyingly busy as the biggest chains, where she could sit down, eat some food and drink some decent coffee without worrying too much about being approached. The place she goes to is one she’s been going to with her sister for years. It is indeed not too crowded when she arrives, easily finding herself an empty table after she grabs her order. Just as Chunhwa is about to dig into her cake, she’s approached by a girl.
Lately, it’s been more common for Chunhwa to be recognised around. She’s not being full of herself when she says she’s someone easily recognisable because of her looks — she is a very beautiful person, and everybody around her is constantly reminding her of that. With Lucid increasing popularity, their faces being in more places lately, it’s inevitable that more people know who she is. More often than not she gets approached for an autograph but today, specifically, Chunhwa was hoping for a quiet breakfast.
Yet before Chunhwa can let her down gently, the girl continues speaking, introducing herself as a trainee. Chunhwa would consider luck if she recognized so much as a trainee from Dimensions, much less a BC one, but she does have to give it to the girl that she has balls to randomly approach someone like this just to try to strike a conversation. Chunhwa is equal parts annoyed and amused, so she reaches out to take the girl’s hand. “Rorin, you said?” It’s not particularly a struggle for her to say Michelle, but a petty part of her latches onto it being the first name offered, which must mean it’s the girl’s favorite, so Chunhwa might as well call her by the other one. “I’m Lucid’s Bom. Or Chunhwa. Don’t call me Bom, no one calls me that.” Not even the fans. Stupid stage name.
She quirks an eyebrow, looking around the place as prompted. “Yeah, it’s nice. Whatever. Very Gangnam.” Chunhwa grew up in places like this, which means she’s not easily charmed. “Do you wanna take a seat?” She asks, with a tilt of her head. “You said you were a trainee? Yet they let you eat that stuff? Are BC’s rules suddenly less strict about trainee diets?”
While the dramatic changing tides haven’t been easy for her to navigate, Michelle likes to think that she’s adjusting as best she can to the newness that surrounds her. For one thing, she’s not only embarking on a completely different career path than originally planned, but she’s living in a whole new country. Sure, she has genetic ties to South Korea, but for what seems like forever, it existed almost as a figment of her imagination given that she and her mother never had the money ( or the time ) to travel abroad; not even for a brief holiday visit. She recalls the stories that both of her parents used to tell her about living in Seoul and seeing it grow into the city its become today, and she always imagined it to be a place that she’d feel at home in, but so far, she’s sort of had the opposite experience. It’s hard to explain, but she longs to feel apart of it the longer she remains a resident. As far as her contract is concerned, she’s here ( at least ) until it expires, so she has no choice but to adapt.
What’s assisted her so far is her ability to naturally engage in conversation, and while she knows her grasp on the language isn’t top-notch and she still has no idea what social norms she needs to follow, she really tries her best to be pleasant to everyone—even when their response to her isn’t nearly as warm. So, when a bit of chill is found within Chunhwa’s tone, she immediately is taken back to the condescending attitudes she had to put up with as a figure skater. However, as she knows the other is a talented, respected “senior” of hers, Michelle doesn’t want to meet her icy words with even more frigid cool, so she at least attempts to be playful. Though, if this fails and things continue on the somewhat tense vibe they’re traveling down, she’s not going to be afraid to give the other a taste of her own medicine.
That’s one thing she has the most issues with in Korea—the constant expectation that younger, inexperienced individuals must bow down to their seniors whims and words no matter how they treat you. She’ll never abide by that, and hopes that it doesn’t land her scorching hot water in the future. Then again, if it does, it’s not as if she plans to exist in the entertainment industry for the rest of her life. If anything, it would just work as an excuse to get the hell out of it far faster than intended.
“Lucid? I feel like I’ve seen or heard that name somewhere, but I’m the worst when it comes to remembering stuff like that.” She begins, then nods as she takes the seat offered to her; setting her items down gracefully. “I don’t think Lucid’s in BC, but if it is, I’m so sorry... I’d feel so bad for just not even retaining that information.” Slowly, she lifts her beverage and takes a sip, then giggles at the mention of the dessert present. So Chunhwa’s that kind of girl... noted. “Oh, yeah. Well, I’m not going to lie to you, the diet culture here is... pretty ludicrous in my opinion. Like, I feel like I’m on a more rigid diet here than I was when I was figure skating, and let me tell you, that’s saying somethin’...” The younger replies, shamelessly digging into her treat; taking the biggest bite possible. “That, and to be frank,” she begins, then swallows. “I’ve been told that I shouldn’t try to lose more weight. I also sort of refuse to. I’m not about to be driven mad or anything if I step on a scale and it shows a number they do or don’t like.”
Continuing to indulge, she hums at the flavor, then gazes over to the other; offering a smile after dabbing her lips with a napkin. “If you don’t mind my asking, what are you known for in Lucid? I hope this doesn’t sound strange, but I have a feeling that you’re, like, terrifyingly talented. I get a vibe from you that you just kinda have your shit together. It’s... impressive.”

fmdtaeyong:
officially, he’s on hiatus, but to bc, that doesn’t mean he’s completely off the hook. after they’d gotten a psychiatrist to sign off that he wasn’t going to absolutely lose it in the middle of rehearsals if he was made to participate, they had informed him that he’d still be expected to participate in the critical practices for knight’s upcoming concert tour. it’s a reminder that he hasn’t successfully left his career behind yet and bc only granted his hiatus for their own benefit. their artist being clearly mentally unwell without the company taking any action wasn’t a good look, but neither was him messing up a little during their tour, apparently.
he’s not required to be at every practice and sometimes, by recommendation, they’ve even agreed to record the sessions with the rest of the group so he can come in when he’s most comfortable and catch up on his own, so, for the most part, his hiatus remains in tact, but he’d had to stop by the building this morning, which is how he ends up at a cafe in the same district as bc headquarters. normally, he’d avoid being seen around bc headquarters out of fear of running into a fan or a sasaeng or someone who will go on pann and write an eyewitness account of what he’s doing on hiatus, but he’s dropped in only to get a coffee (decaf, as he’d been reminded by his psychiatrist) and is waiting patiently for his order to be called when he’s approached and his stomach drops with the worry his cover’s been blown.
he hears the girl out, hoping he doesn’t look too skeptical, and he’s relieved at least that she isn’t a fan and she doesn’t seem to actually know who he is. a bc trainee isn’t the best alternative either. he can’t outright say no, he isn’t any such thing, because he’ll look like an ass if she debuts and they meet again. in the span of a few seconds he has to answer before he looks suspicious, he decides to avoid the question altogether. if she pieces together who he is, he’ll deal with that, but, if not, he has plausible deniability later as never having directly lied to her.
he accepts her hand shake because it’s the polite thing to do, but, unfortunately, avoidance isn’t really as subtle as he’d like. “oh, uh, hi, i’m ash.” again, plausible deniability. it’s not like he ever personally refers to himself as taeyong anyway and technically, he’s on an extended period of off the clock right now. “which one do you prefer? michelle or rorin? your opinion matters on that kind of thing more than mine.” as someone with two names, he knows about having preferences.
he looks around the cafe, having not really taken it in before. “yeah, it’s… cute.” not the word he’d have chosen first, but it’s easier to agree than argue on such a tiny thing such as how best to describe their surroundings. “i’ve never been here before.”
Sometimes, just sometimes, her intuition will fail her and place her in an awkward situation, and sadly, she has a feeling that she may have gotten the other’s identity wrong and put them on the spot. Feeling instant remorse, she shakes her head back and forth; a delicate laugh following suit to break the silence. “I’m so sorry if I totally caught you off-guard, that definitely wasn’t my intention.” She explains, literally bringing a palm up to lightly tap her forehead. “Honestly, you look a lot like the guys I sometimes see at my company. You know, the tall and handsome and kinda mysterious ones.” Offering a smile, she attempts to lighten the atmosphere, but has no idea if her attempts will be futile or not. “I’m still pretty new to Korea, so I don’t really know a whole lot of people... or anything about K-pop, really, but I’m hoping to change that the longer I’m here.”
Hopefully a small explanation will assist in smoothing things over, but she’s having a difficult time trying to read him... which only intrigues her more, if she’s being truthful. She’s always been a sucker for an enigmatic quality in another individual. It easily unlocks her more curious ( and interested ) disposition. “Ash? That’s sweet. Do you speak English, perchance?”
Michelle inquires, hoping to God that they can swap to her mother tongue, if so. Only if it was a good fit for him, too, of course. “Oh, and you can call me Mish, or Chelle. That’s what everyone back home calls me.” Pausing for a moment, she takes in the sight of him a little more—doing her best to do so as inconspicuously as possible. He’s hot, she knows that at first glance, but she’s trying not to overstep any boundaries if he’s not someone who’s comfortable with small bits of flirtation. She’s still trying to navigate her way through the cultural differences between the east and the west. “It’s my first time here, too. I looked up ‘cute coffee shops in Cheongdam’ and this was one of the first options on Naver, so here I am. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s pretty close to where I train. Again, she has no idea if she can openly discuss her stance in the entertainment world, even if it’s been made clear that she shouldn’t.
After a brief pause, she hears her name called and wanders over to pick up her items; humming at the mere sight of coffee and cake. Not wanting to be rude, though, she turns back towards Ash and smiles; still invested in their conversation. “If you have the time, would you maybe wanna grab a seat with me? I’m not technically supposed to be eating sweets right now, so it may be better if I share all this with someone... what do you say?”

fmdjeonghwa:
jeonghwa’s eyes flicked to the hand, back up to the face in front of her, then back to the hand where she placed her own briefly, small smile spreading. “just for the next time we meet, i’m more of a hugger. one meeting’s enough for me. we can be on a hug basis.” she brushed off the other side of the table, attempting to catch any crumbs she’d left from her pastry, and dusted her hands off over a napkin. she’d come to the cafe specifically for a taste of pastry she hadn’t had before, expecting to be alone and potentially be left alone, but jeonghwa wasn’t upset about the turn of events. it was only another opportunity presented to her, and jeonghwa didn’t miss out on those. “please, sit with me.”
“i’m jeonghwa, by the way, from lucid. nice to meet you michelle or rorin.” unsure as of yet to what to make of the girl, she could at least say that she was interested in getting to know anyone bold enough to come up to her in a random place. same could be said for fans -though she didn’t seem to be one, by her questioning who jeonghwa was. “did you just move here recently? you sound like you’re from the states.”
Michelle notices Jeonghwa examining the situation before going along with it, and thankfully, she reacted well to the spur-of-the-moment introduction. The younger of them knows that, at times, new introductions can be overwhelming and awkward for some people, and she’d never want to put anyone in that position, so it’s a breath of fresh air to have someone treat her with openness and kindness, so much so, that she’s even instructed to lean in for a hug next time. The smile that’s already present on her face grows, her hand dropping back to her side as she nods in response. “Aye, aye, captain!” She simpers, then takes the seat offered to her; glancing over her shoulder to see if her items were ready. “I’m typically more of a hugger, too, but I don’t ever want to assume that anyone else is, I guess. It’s good to know that you are too, though.” She grins, her gaze still locked on the woman before her.
“It’s also so sweet of you to invite me to sit down! God, people are so nice here... everyone back in California can be so rude.” A soft chuckle flutters from between her lips, thinking back to the many times she’d get scoffed at by random people she’d encounter. So far, that’s one of the differences between the east and west that she appreciates.
“Jeonghwa... wow, that’s a beautiful name. Sometimes I wish my mom gave me a more, like, traditional name like that. I don’t think I’ve met anyone else with the name Rorin.” She jokes, licking over her lips. “Also, don’t kill me, but I don’t... know of Lucid. Honestly, I moved here from the USA not long ago, and before then, I never really listened to K-pop because I’m a phony, but I’m glad to say that I’m learning a lot about it now!” A wink is added for cuteness... she just hopes she didn’t offend the other with her statement.
“I’m also embarrassed that my accent gives me away! English is my first language and my other Korean friends back home used to tell me that I have a weird accent when I speak the language, so... if you ever need clarification, just let me know.” A small pause fills the space around them, and before she knows it, the server brings over her coffee and dessert. She bows in response, then takes her first sip—humming in delight at the flavor. “So, tell me—are you a rapper in Lucid? If I’m wrong, I’m so sorry! You just have such a powerful vibe about you... and you’re gorgeous!”

INT.  UNDISCLOSED MUSIC VIDEO SET  ●  EARLY MORNING. *  ♡  MICHELLE FILMS ❝ ONE&ONLY ❞ MV  →  JULY 20, 2021.
It’s still baffling to her that in only a few years’ time, she’s gone from waitress to nursing student to now K-pop idol, and despite it all, she’s managed to adjust as quickly as possible to her ever-evolving career; not at all thinking that being a public figure was in the cards for her. Firstly, she had no desire to be famous or an entertainer. In her mind, she imagined her future being typical—finding someone to settle down with, going from paycheck-to-paycheck in order to pay their bills and support their lifestyles ( in the outrageously expensive southern California area, mind you ), and being happy with the simplicities that life has to offer. Secondly, she and her mother had long since discussed the nursing program at SNU as it seemed like it would provide them with the most promising financial stability upon graduation, but now, the two of them harbor tense feelings toward each other due to Michelle’s reckless, last-minute decision to take a risk and join BC Entertainment’s idol trainee division—one that may or may not promise her heaps of riches after her debt is paid off post-debut. Lastly, it seems as though her full-time home has changed from the beaches of Valley Glen and Los Angeles to the metropolitan area of Seoul—and honestly, that’s the only change that she’s having difficulty adapting to.
Back home, she would spend long evenings hanging out with friends; smoking so much weed, drinking poorly-mixed drinks until their cheeks were rosy, and overall, letting the night take them wherever it felt like. There was a comforting sense of spontaneity forever present in her life, but now, all that’s been replaced with back-to-back training schedules, and now, preparations for a debut that she’s not once dreamed of having. That thought alone troubles her, mostly because she can’t help but feel like she accidentally fell into this world, betrayed people who’ve worked hard for their dreams, and in essence, took a place that may have been rightfully theirs. She’s aware that she didn’t make the decision to be placed in Chroma herself, but that doesn’t help the small guilt she feels about her stance, and these uncomfortable wonderings are plaguing her worse today as she’s on-set of the music video for her solo single. She just hopes that the director and other crew members aren’t picking up on her incredibly distracted mindset. Never wanting to appear rude or cold, she tries her best to push her way through each take; annoyed ( slightly ) at the amount of times they have to cut in order to fix her hair and makeup, and adjust the cameras and lighting. When it’s time to change locations and costumes, she sighs; relieved.
Ushered into the small changing area designated to her, she sits before her vanity and readies herself for the beauty department to work their magic—freshening up her skin, placing her hair where it’s needed to be, and ensuring that her outfit doesn’t look one bit wrinkled or disheveled. Throughout it all, she gazes upon her reflection; finding it unbelievable that she has a dedicated team assisting her when she used to just sloppily smear on cosmetics every morning before she left for work. It’s then when reality hits her and she starts to freak out a little internally, but uses all of her strength to keep herself composed in front of everyone—faking smiles, forcing laughs, and asking for a moment alone before the shoot continues. Thankfully, everyone seemed fine with her request and allowed her five minutes of quiet. She told them she needs to get “in the zone” for the scenes to come, but the truth is, she needs space in order to slow herself down—her wildly volatile emotions surging intensely all of the sudden. She knows that it’s likely due to the lack of sleep, the anticipation for what’s to come, but being on-set has made everything feel all the more real to her—and she feels as though there’s no way to escape if she wanted to. Feelings of permanence have never sat well with her. It’s unfortunate, but true.
Placing her hands on the vanity before her, she rises up from her seated position and continues to study herself in the looking glass; reminding herself to take a few deep breaths... just like her coach taught her way back when. When she felt more centered and less shaky, Michelle started to give herself a pep talk. “You’ve got this... you were chosen for a reason...” She self-soothes, still doing her best to keep her heart rate steady and soft. “Maybe you don’t know what you’re doing yet, but you’re here and you’re figuring it out... and you’re apparently doing a good job.” In moments like these, she’s learned how to be her own therapist. What’s said is that she has a hard time taking her own advice. Before she realizes it, one of the production assistant’s knocks on the door before entering; waving her over to let her know that it’s time to proceed. Nodding, she follows; doing her best to mentally repeat the words she just spoke over and over again.
Hopefully it’s enough to get her through the day... or better yet, enough to get her through the whole promotional period once the song is released. She doesn’t think that’ll happen, though.
