spicy chickpea salad recipe!
no stove? no problem! i’ve got you covered :)
i wanted to share an easy-to-make, vegan-friendly meal that’s pretty cheap and keeps you nice ‘n’ full while still giving you key nutrients! you’ll get tons of protein without sacrificing any of the flavour or taste :) the calorie counts listed below are for what i typically find at my grocery store, so it may differ for you slightly, but it should hold roughly true!
ingredients:
3/4 cup of dried chickpeas, soaked overnight then drained (390 cal)
1 large tomato, diced (40 cal)
1/2 large cucumber, diced (25 cal)
1/2 small red onion, diced (30 cal)
4 teaspoons olive oil (160 cal)
1.5 teaspoon ground cumin (15 cal)
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (5 cal)
total = 660 cal, can be split into 2 servings (330 cal each) or 4 servings (165 cal each)
steps to prepare:
put your chickpeas in a large bowl and fill it with water until they’re fully covered. let them soak overnight (or you can cook them in a pot if you need to make them fast)! when they’re ready the next morning, drain them of water and set them aside.
take your veggies and dice ‘em up. after, you can add them directly to the bowl with your chickpeas.
add your olive oil and spices, then make sure to toss it all together well! you can totally add more spices if you’d like to taste, especially since they’re pretty low calorie. lemon juice is also an optional addition for a little extra zest!
and that’s it! now you have yourself a hearty couple servings of a yummy salad. be sure to store it in the fridge for max freshness! i like to use this recipe to meal prep and have a couple lunches ready throughout the week since i’m pretty busy as a uni student. plus, it’s really easy to make. i hope you all enjoy! <3

It was so hot I did absolutely nothing, and I’ve had an upset stomach which I suspect is the sugar free monster on an empty tummy. Gonna have to give up monster for a while— maybe pivot to coffee? Anyway I’m disappointed that I’m not more under budget, but it’s not a binge so I’ll live.

Had a really long and shitty day at work and 100% would have fainted if I didn’t eat, but even still I went overboard and I shouldn’t have. Anyway that is genuinely how many calories I burn on a Saturday shift just generally speaking. I didn’t do anything crazy I don’t think. I did 14k steps!
High in protein but I feel so guilty about going to a bakery. Fucking hate myself for it.

There were chicken wings for us in the back whilst we were working and everyone was going for them and I didn’t eat one >:)
However I did eat more than I wanted to because I auto ordered food before I started work, thankfully it’ll be 100% under 1000 esp given the amount of calories I’ll burn today but I’m so disappointed in myself ugh

I went on a really nice walk around the park today it was great
Had sushi, fruit, rice cakes as a little picnic whilst I was out and climbed so many hills augh
Had two mini sausage rolls broken up throughout the day because I heard that protein boosts your metabolism and you need protein to break down fat anyway, so I’m making sure that my meals contain a lot of protein considering the calories

Sweet low-cal recipes ✧⁠\⁠(⁠>⁠o⁠<⁠)⁠ノ⁠✧
having sugar cravings? got your period and NEED some low-cal sweets?? i got u !
here are some of my favorites sweet snacks that i make :) <3
Banana Chocolat Ice Cream 🍌🍫 (100-250cals) *depends on size/type/amount of bananas, i used 75 g (80cals)
For me, this one is the BEST
- 2 frozen bananas
-1 tbsp cocoa powder
put it all toghether in a blender and thats it !
bonus if u put some walnuts, strawberries (not that much or it wont have a nice texture), protein powder or oats
Protein Crêpes 🥞 (180 cals)
- 2 egg whites
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 scoop of whey (any flavor u want)
- 1 tbsp oatmeal flour
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
sweetener (optional)
✧put the mixture on a frying pan, but not so much, the mix has to be thin !!
now u can add any toppings u want! i recommend bananas, honey, berries, chocolat and peanut butter :)
Yummy rice cakes 🥜🍫(100 cals for 3 of them)
i HATE rice cakes i only eat them w something on it
you'll need peanut butter and melted chocolat, i made some last week, they need to look like this:

Microwaved Brownies (176 cal)
*on a mug*
-1tbsp peanut butter
-1tbsp honey
-1 ½tbsp cacao powder
-1tbsp milk
-pinch of baking powder
-chocolat chips are optional !
*mix*
✧microwave for a minute !
another bold crêpe recipe but with 3 ingredients only (94 cals)
*blender*
-1 egg
-2tbsp oatmeal powder
-1 cup of milk
(pinch of salt or sweetener)
bonus if add chia seeds
i use this one for absolutely everything, (its very good with chicken)
