I wasn’t kidding when I said I love LOVE Julian’s design ;) (And his character obviously!)

This actually started because I was sculpting baby Asra, and got antsy waiting for the clay to dry, so I thought I’d try sculpting Julian. I didn’t really think I’d get anywhere, but ended up liking it enough to create the body.

Zain's first season was better, the whole coffeeshop setting still isn't for me, and all the coffee and food moments are wasted on me.

Zain however is great! I love his personality, and I think he was written very interestingly this season. And that is making me look forward to season 2.

BUT! What was that cliffhanger?? I get that it's the new thing to end every season on a cliffhanger but come on! It felt forced and rather than making me eager to see what's next, it made me think there was a chapter missing.

BTW, the plot this season was disappointing, simply because there barely was one. What happened even? There was a mystery chest they did nothing with, there was a creepy intern who didn't do anything but be an obvious upset for a future villain. And that's it...

Still I enjoyed the season, just because Zain is a great character and whoever is writing him did a great job!

(Also as I said coffeeshop AUs are not my thing so this review is obviously biased.)

It's weird because I feel there is so much chemistry between MC and Tyrian in the few scenes they share in Atlas' route, but I barely felt any of it during Tyrian's route.

It's just such a waste of potential, because there could have been a very compelling, tension filled story there but it just feels like it's being told by someone who is completely disinterested in this couple.

…sigh.

I have really wanted to like Tyrian’s route and I have tried to defend it as it’s come under such heavy criticism, but ep 10 so far has honestly been kind of painful. The characters just… aren’t acting like real people. I can’t connect the dots back from their actions to a believable internal reasoning and / or motivation, it’s more like they’re following a plot checklist: Tyrian decided to believe MC over the Union because it was time in the plot for him to do so, and that’s that, apparently?

He should be concerned. He should be conflicted about turning his back on the Union that he believed in and served loyally for ten years. It should be hard for him to do this. That it’s not doesn’t make it seem like the MC is super important to him, it just makes him unconvincing as a character.

It doesn’t help that there’s a feeling of immaturity to a lot of the dialogue. People don’t talk like the characters in this route are talking.

There are some moments where it clicks, but not as many as there should be. :/

I’m sticking it out in hopes that it will improve, but it’s definitely a disappointing first season for a character who had tons of potential to tell a really enjoyable story.

It's too bad we don't get to choose MC's reactions because I agree with Atlas' thoughts on weddings and I'd love to see Lovestruck do something else for his route.

Not every route has to go dating-proposal-marriage-kids. There are other ways to see a couple are serious.

Sweet Enchantments Lucian Season 1

 tbh I wasn’t expecting too much from this to begin with, as it was the theme I was least interested in, hell I don’t even like coffeshop AUs, I have no interest in baking (I don’t even like baked goods except bread lol) and I have never understood the concept of food porn, so yeah, this just isn’t for me.

But even if it was, I can’t imagine getting invested in a story that is just 12 episodes of trying to impress a mean critic who at the end ‘threatens’ with a bad review (also, with how rabid Lucien’s fans are shown to be I can’t imagine them abandoning the cafe because of a bad review).

I also didn’t think the romance was at all convincing, even with the paid scenes. The almost kiss came out of nowhere for me, and MC’s constant lusting over Lucien made very little sense.

I do like Lucien and MC’s characters so maybe if it gets a second season it’ll improve. I hope it does because I’d love to see more of the fantasy world and the beautiful artstyle of the game.

So the new series lovestruck introduced... I really love the style - but I don't think the CGs do it justice - I love the designs as well, the characters are interesting so far and I love fantasy settings, but...

I just can't get into the story. I know a lot of people wanted this, so it's great it's here, but I just couldn't get myself to care, despite really liking the characters and the interactions between MC and the LI.

I'll give it a fair shot of cours but so far I'm kind of not invested tbh.

I get this wasn't the intention, but having Renzei declare he's 'never made love' and then have him say this sex, the sex where he doesn't go into any of his kinks, IS 'making love' kind of comes across... well, bad.

Crackpot theory about Antonio’s finale: what if the guest in the plague mask wasn’t the same person who invited MC? What if it was Vanessa? And rather than wanting t poison Antonio, she put that stuff in the human-only drinks, so any human at the party would be protected from vampire bites? (because they’d have drunk it and if any vampire tried to drink from them it would incapacitate the vampire)

OMG that season finale for Antonio’s season 2!!!

So best guess: the plague doctor masked guest put something in the human only wine that would poison Antonio when he drank from MC. So who was that guest? It’d have to be someone who knew Antonio wants to drink from MC, and presumably it’s also whoever sent the invitation...

Antonio said someone wants to get to him through MC (we also had that ominous line about people coming after him). So it has to be someone with a grudge. I can’t help but wonder if it’s someone we’d recognise (possibly from other routes) and that’s why they covered this person’s face with a mask?

I know right??? She has LI written all over her! And I've seen plenty of interest in a route for her! Plus just from a story perspective, her route has so much potential.

Much as I’m looking forward to Tyrian’s route, I’m still really surprised they didn’t announce Bat at the same time. I was so sure that next tim e we got new routes Bat would be among them.
