Which is hobby that requires OTHER PEOPLE. Not really giving us much to work with in terms of self care. So my point still stands, unless one day we're shown something Candle enjoys doing by herself, for herself, and not others. Well y'know, unless she needs help.

Edit: please read this because it's an extremely overlooked problem in Candle's personality that people don't notice. A reblog would also be helpful.

Something that I realize people misinterpret on Candle is that she is REALLY selfless. Too selfless. To the point where any form of self care she has for herself ends up spiraling back to helping others.

She's so caught up on caring for others that she barely has anything that SHE HERSELF enjoys doing and not a something that eventually leads to her caring for other people.

And worst part is, she doesn't even realize this because she's so caught up in making sure everyone else is comfortable.

When she was talking about self care in the exit interview, the thing she was mentioning wasn't something that she personally finds joy in, but rather focusing on HER position in the game and not everyone else's.

Even if she was to win Inanimate Insanity Invitational she would probably use the money to help others.

She cares for others so much to the point where she doesn't any of her OWN hobbies and interests that don't end up as something that she does for other people.

People get that wrong. A lot. And they also don't seem to realize either.

Idk though, its just what I interpret it as.

Exactly! But it does seem like when she was mentioning the fact the she regrets caring for others more than herself, it sounded like it was based more on the competition instead of her own personal growth.

I do wonder how it started in the first place, though. Maybe childhood trauma such as, I don't know, being the favorite child while having everyone else in her life neglected and ending up feeling incredibly guilty, to the point where she feels as if she doesn't deserve her own joy?

And if you think I'm trauma dumping then yeah I probably am.

Tw: mentions of racism, Pedophilia, furphobia, homophobia, transphobia, religion and whole ton more because the people at my school are mortifyingly disgusting.

The mentions in this rant are slight but in real life their constantly shoved in my face so, I'm really sad.

My Catholic school is really problematic and I despise it so much.

There's a constant flow of homophobia, transphobia, and whole lot more coming from 11 year old boys who have no idea what they're saying, girls who center themselves around religious practices that aren't healthy, and teachers trying to convince me that its wrong.

Racism, Pedophilia, furphobia and whole lot of others just get thrown around like they're jokes, and SO MANY OF THE OTHER STUDENTS, DESPITE LIVING IN A COUNTRY THAT SUPPORTS PALESTINE'S SAVIOR, DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE, DESPITE THE INCREDIBLY HORRIFIC ACTS THAT THE PEOPLE OF GAZA ARE PUT THROUGH.

I hate it so much. Yet I cannot leave.
