I just got yet another ‘if you ever return I can totally help you price your stuff’ message on FR from an account way too old to be pulling that stunt.
I wish I’d saved all the messages I get like that, offers on my progens (lol) offers on things I don’t even have but they assume I do, flat out cash offers for my account (lol) You can cold-ask if a dragon might be for sale for the right price but don’t spam out messages to old accounts asking for their stuff, it’s not polite and not what anyone wants to log into.
Especially not a generic note from an account I used to know. Yeah, clearly you are totally for reals the same person as who created that account. Uh huh.

On one hand I can understand the frustration of those with the wealth to pour into a scatter vial special eye gen one quest, but on the other hand I’m refreshing the marketplace stoked to use this currency sink for its intended purpose and put primal on my starter imp, so-

When I was still doing a lot of skin art I did limited runs because I just got bored if reprinting the same things and because it's difficult to manage a large 'store front' in the forum for print requests. And if you don't do print on demand, then you have to tie up gems in stock that might take a bit to sell. The new reprint system makes it easier to reprint and maintain stock but still its either a lot of thread management in the forum or hope someone's looking for it in the AH. With a limited run, I know I can move x prints within y time for z profit, then put it to bed and start something new. But yeah that doesn't help people on the buy side when something's been retired for two years!
I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on the benefits of making limited run accents from a profit perspective. Artificial scarcity certainly raises prices, but for accent makers with highly sought after skins would it not be more profitable to sell tons of accents at a lower price than a few at a higher markup? Note that I’m only looking at profit motives, not cases where accents are retired because it’s too difficult to keep up with orders for multiple different accents or where the accent has limited initial demand.
I have wondered this myself! Especially because resellers are a thing. I would say part of it is that they want to cultivate that exclusivity as part of their brand, though I’m interested to see what others think.

Here’s my coli two-dragon training / grinding setup. Ignore the low health, we’ve been at it a while! First move is ridgeback buffs herself. She can then Eliminate any enemy except a boss in the mire. She eliminates one, the guardian scratches, eliminates the second, and the guardian eliminates the third. Low health because of the odd dodge, 4-enemy squad, and taking the time to build up the breath for eliminate :P (also NotN enemies are faster than the Mire average and tend to get one hit in per round)
So:
Move 1: Cerinthia buffs herself (30 strength buff)
Move 2: Cerinthia eliminates one enemy (pick a physical enemy)
Move 3: Falifrey scratches a breath enemy
Move 4: Cerinthia eliminates a second enemy
Move 5: Falifrey eliminates whoever she scratched. Battle over!
