Lately, not a single day has passed without the Armenian phrase "cavd tanem" [ցավդ տանեմ], directly translating to "Let me take away your pain", crossing my mind. A phrase filled with such deep devotion and yet, it's uttered daily and graces simple everyday conversations. In a sentence, it simply replaces the name of the addressee.
"Vonc es, cavd tanem?" - "How are you, [let me take your pain away]?"
"Cavd tanem, jur kberes?" - "[Let me take away your pain], could you bring me a glass of water?"
Such abundance of love that miniature rivers of it effortlessly flow into the most pedestrian pathways!

Wip Wednesday: The offspring chapter 5
2177
It’s too early for her to awake but Taliya is maybe having the best morning she ever had, trailing behind a somber Walker like a happy duckling does with its mom, carrying her Barbie backpack that moves up and down as they walk down through the stairs until the fourth floor.
After her good job in the conversation with Vaykay, Taliya gained a little bit more of confidence and asked in that same night in the dinner with her family if she can visit the laboratories in her free time ( “I never saw a real animal.” She lied but due to their constant trips, her Daddy and Uncle don’t know that and Papa or Spider didn’t care to intervene).  Jake wasn’t amused by the idea of his daughter going for her own through the base (Taliya still without understanding why, she always did it in Bridgehead) but Quaritch quickly said as he drank a sip of his beer.
“I don’t think there would be any problems while Mrs. Walker is with her.”
To be honest, Taliya had to contain her gasp of incredulity in the middle of the table when that happened, it was maybe the first and surely the last time that Quaritch was in her favor. But it worked, Daddy allowed her to go anywhere while is under Nora or Walker’s supervision, and for her that was enough to be a silent doll as Uncle Quaritch likes.
In the first hours of the morning, she was awakened by her room’s door being knocked repeatedly at a constant pace. She thought it was maybe Uncle Spider but when she opened the door, she found the blond man in his white coat, wearing a frown.
“Hi…” Taliya said weakly with tired reddish eyes and not knowing what else to do.
“Sully told me you want to see my main workplace.” Walker said directly, his tone telling he openly dislikes the idea but he doesn’t have an option. He checked the watch on his wrist and said, “You have twenty minutes to be ready or I will leave without you.”
Taliya didn’t need  to be told twice, she quickly combed her hair until her locks got straight, changed her clothes, putting on a simple pink blouse with the drawing of a red rose, a pink jean skirt and pink sandals.
“Your other parent isn’t with you?” Walker asked her when she got out of the room, noticing how no one else was in the bed.
“Most of the time, he wakes up sooner than me.” She said like it’s normal, using her key to lock the door.
“First rule,” Walker says to her as he searches for something in his coat’s pocket. “Don’t get out of my sight. Second rule,”  He picks what Taliya recognizes as his ID, a red credential that shines under the hall’s white light. “Don’t be loud, I warn you that I have a bat-like hearing. Thir–
“What is a bat?” She asks suddenly with her ears twitching, completely curious but it seems the human interprets it as a tease from her because he only sighs and rolls his eyes as he passes the credential through the reader.
“Third and final rule,” Walker continues his preaching, opening the gate and entering first into the laboratory but quickly turning around and covering the entrance, staring at Taliya directly and not letting her pass the threshold. “You don’t touch anything without my permission. Maybe Quaritch and your Father have the muscles but that doesn't mean any impunity if you break something and I’m not your babysitter, deal?” He finishes with an authoritarian tone but the girl doesn't feel it like that unlike with Quaritch and Jake even if the human is taller than her.
“Deal.” Taliya says excited, almost jumping when Walker lets her finally get inside. “Woah…” She softly murmurs, seeing how in this laboratory there are not only more subjects than in Bridgehead but also is bigger.
The place wasn’t just a room but a whole great hall, maybe with more space than the kitchen or the industrial zone, a place that is already enough space to put more than thousands of artifacts and subjects at the same time.
“Is enormous…” She comments to Waker, who’s going to the electric panel.
“That’s normal,” Walker explains, turning off the lights of sky blue tones, revealing a desk in one of the corners, a lot of crystal boxes with subjects of small size and metal cages that Taliya thinks are for bigger animals. “Before this base gained more attention from the military–heads. This place was specifically made for research and experimentation with the biodiversity of Pandora,” He says with a little bit of pride brimming in his voice. “From plants to humanoids… this place has everything we need to get to know how to use nature in our favor.”
