Is it an unpopular opinion to think that Gohan’s SS2 transformation would make more sense if like… it came after Goku’s sacrifice?

Maybe Cell defeats Goku before he can tag in Gohan and that sends him over?

Or plot twist: Trunks is the one that ends up going feral because he can’t stand to see Gohan die before his eyes AGAIN and that’s what sends him into SS2, as ultimately the androids were always going to be his fight in the end. Idk. I just feel the 16 moment didn’t have the intended weight for me

The unfortunate duality of ultra Instinct and SS4 both being super rad but coming from overall underwhelming extensions of the series. Super was better than GT but DB and Z are still leagues better.

Battle of Gods, Broly and Super Hero are all amazing tho, and I DO love base SS god. I just don’t much care for blue. Mastered ultra instinct is okay but I still prefer the imperfect version when Goku still had black hair.
