Like it cannot be overstated how collective change is built by a collection of small, sustained individual actions. You giving what you can to one person, you helping one person when you can, you communicating with one person, sharing with one person, everything, it all adds up. That is how we build community. Its not big and dramatic and all at once. It is mundane but continuous.

The average member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not a mormon. Real mormons are queer freakshows who have a personal severe hatred of at least one mormon prophet, own at least one set of divinitation tools, and understand the Book of Mormon is inherently an occult text.

breathing in and out and remembering these talks aren't always out to get me. you know who's a casual member of the church? somebody who goes every sunday and ticks all the boxes but never wrestles with god, never asks how to better love their neighbor, never wonders how to better love their children who have questions, someone who tells queer people to "get over it and follow the gospel".

Before you hit send on that ask, reblog, or reply, remember to stop and PROOFREAD!
am I Pissing on the Poor?
did I Read the post in bad faith?
could I be Overexaggerating?
am I Out of line for saying this?
is it kind of Fucked up to say that to a total stranger?
is what I said Rude?
am I being Egotistical?
am I Angry at words that weren't in the post?
did I Dream up a pretend person to get mad at?
ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT YOURSELF FROM LOOKING LIKE A JACKASS ONLINE!

Brother Mouse, it’s important to me that you know I confused Rod Sterling (Twilight Zone) and Ron Howard (Arrested Development)
And I gotta tell you, reading your response in Ron Howard’s voice changes what I assume to be the intended tone quite a bit.
I think it’s funny when the “Mormonism is a cult” crowd finds my blog
Sorry friends, you have stumbled into the Weird Mormon Zone

Interesting how the first real decision Adam made in the Bible was to put his love and desire to be with his partner over his ability to be with God.
And then people in the church are surprised when they tell people those are the options and people choose love.
