RWBY: Arrowfell x Tsun Scoops Ice Cream

To promote the game RWBY: Arrowfell, Californian ice cream shop Tsun Scoop partnered with with developer Wayforward to create a foursome of frozen flavors fitting the main characters of the anime-inspired series.

Thesw flavors were Ruby Rosewater Strawberry, Weiss Chocolate Peppermint, Blakeberry, and Yango.

The ice cream also came with special spoons with images of some of the characters on them.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Thanksgiving Pie

For dessert lovers everywhere, Reese’s offered a gigantic, pie-sized version of their typical peanut butter cup for the 2021 Thanksgiving season. There were only 3,000 of these 9-inch cups made, and could only be bought online for $45 plus tax and shipping.

Sadly, for those that weren’t part of the lucky 3,000, Reese’s has not released the pie again, nor indicated that it will be coming back any time soon.

Wonder Woman 1984 SweeTarts Golden Ropes

To promote the upcoming second Gal Gadot Wonder Woman film, Wonder Woman 1984, SweeTarts created a special version of their “ropes” candy.

The Wonder Woman SweeTarts Ropes were a tropical punch flavor with a tart center, and were colored gold- a clear reference to the titular heroine’s Lasso of Truth.

Along with purchasing the snack, customers were prompted to visit the candy’s Instagram profile and tag a friend to be entered into a contest. The winners of the contest would receive a vegan leather Wonder Woman-themed bag dubbed the “Golden Ropes Holder” that they could use to carry more candy!

Elvis Reese’s Cups

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of The King of Rock and Roll’s death, Reese’s released a banana cream-filled version of their peanut butter cups candy meant to pay homage to Elvis’s favorite sandwich. 

To encourage collectors, Reese’s released variations of the wrapper with different iconic Elvis outfits on them throughout the product’s limited run.

While other anniversaries of Elvis’s death have come and gone, Reese’s doesn’t appear to have any interest in bringing back this particular iteration of their product.

Robots 2005 Cold Stone Creamery Flavor

To promote the 2005 Blue Sky Studios film Robots, Cold Stone Creamery released a tie-in flavor, “Rodney Copperbottom’s Crazy Crackling Cotton Candy Concoction”, named after the main character of the movie.

The frozen treat was comprised of cotton candy ice cream, marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles, and strawberry popping candy.

Cold Stone did not respond to a request to provide any potentially existing promotional images of this flavor, and so a thorough, illustrative documentation of this Funny Food remains incomplete.

Zero-G Skittles

To commemorate the candy traveling onboard a commercial space flight for the first time, Skittles unveiled 100 packs of an exclusive “Zero-G” version of their typical snack.

These extremely limited Skittles, which included the appropriately space-themed flavors Planet Pineapple (blue), Berry Blast (purple), and Rocket Raspberry (dark blue), were only available as a contest reward for lucky entrants who purchased a Skittles product on Amazon and submitted the receipt to a special SkittlesInSpace website. The delicious reward came in a special rainbow and space-themed box. One of the 100 winners would also get a “zero gravity experience” for themselves and a friend.

i spent the last hour and a half perusing your blog and i am greatly entertained. are there any foods you’ve posted that you’ve really wanted to try? or the opposite, some that look so gross to you?

I'm actually quite the picky eater, funnily enough. ~sensory issues~ and all that. However, most of the ice cream stuff I've posted sounds yummy- heck, the Coldstone Nintendo crossover collab was what inspired me to make this blog in the first place!

In a bold move to make an atypical Valentine’s Day meal… Valentine’s Day-y, Kraft offered a contest wherein winners could earn a box of their mac and cheese that came with a powder packet that would turn the pasta a bright pink and make it a little sweeter.

The Kraft Mac and Cheese box and Candy Kraft Mac and Cheese packet reward would arrive at the 1,000 selected winner’s houses by Valentine’s Day in a candy heart-shaped box, giving them ample time to share the sweet, pink macaroni with their loved ones. Some who tasted the results described the flavor as less like Valentine’s Day candy as probably intended and more like maple syrup.

Hershey’s White Creme with Popping Candy

Friendly’s 2023 Summer Festival Menu

As part of a seasonal “Summer Festival”, ice cream and restaurant chain Friendly’s offered an expanded dessert menu with shark-themed food and drink.

These included a Shark Sundae (cotton candy ice cream with cotton candy-flavored popping candy served with blue marshmallow, gummy sharks, whipped cream, red fruit syrup, and a cherry), and a Shark Fribble (a blue raspberry milkshake with red fruit syrup, gummy sharks, whipped cream, and a cherry).

Despite what the menu claims, the lobster roll and lobster bisque were not new items- they were offered during the previous summer.

Wendy’s TwitchCon 2022 Nerds Frosty

French’s Mustard Skittles
