The Sun & The Moon
They say as the solar eclipse approaches the curse becomes stronger
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and Sun appearing as if the Moon is covering the Sun obscuring its light and leaving the Earth in darkness. The Moon is usually in the New Moon phrase when this happens.
What if the eclipse isn't the actual astronomical event that will cause chaos, but instead it is what happens when Akk and Ayan begin to orbit each other?
Tumblr media
Akk [Big Foot] = Sun
Ayan [Short Stop] = Moon
The school's symbol is the sun
Tumblr media
And Akk, the bigger and brighter star, is the president of the Prefects, meaning he is the golden child (sun traits).
While Ayan, the smaller one, is the new student and lurks in the shadows (new moon behavior).
Ayan's hoodie, that he wears over his uniform (shadowing the school's symbol = sun) clearly depicts a solar eclipse transpiring:

The top object is the Sun, the lower object is Earth, and the middle shows the transition of the Moon during the eclipse.
The front of his hoodie reads Solstice
Tumblr media
A solstice marks when a hemisphere has the most or the least sunlight of the year but is also when the "sun stands still"
Ayan's notebook depicts the sun as well, but he keeps it hidden.

The music video that accompanies the series is also called..."Over the Moon"
Tumblr media
Finally, Akk's pin shows the school's sun symbol in golden lighting,

while Ayan's pendant that he wears on his necklace shows the moon transitioning into the eclipse with blue lighting.

A total eclipse is rare. A solstice solar eclipse is even rarer. An eclipse is also known to cause disorder because it can mess with gravitational pulls, technology, and, of course, the natural order of life because it casts everything in darkness.
Akk's life is good, but the exact second Ayan appears, he is off balance. Each time he encounters Ayan, he freezes; he enters a solstice stage by standing still.
Akk, the Sun, should be able to overpower Ayan, the Moon, easily, but Ayan continues to overshadow Akk at each turn because they are an eclipse, and this disruption of the school's natural order will cause mayhem. The closer they get, the stronger the unrest will become.
They are the curse.

Aphrodite is the sky- She’s the daughter of Ouranos, the primordial god of the sky, and she’s referred to as ‘Aphrodite Ourania’ meaning ‘The heavenly’
Aphrodite is the sea- Before coming to the shores of Cyprus she resided in depths of the ocean, her love story with Nerites takes place in her time living underwater. She’s also called ‘Anadyomene’ which means ‘The Goddess rising out of the sea’
Aphrodite is the earth- When she walks, flowers spring up from under her feet. She created the myrtle and red roses. She was worshipped in Cnossus as ‘Aphrodite Antheia’ which means ‘The blooming’ or ‘The friend of flowers’ and the most common offering to Aphrodite was flowers
Here’s a fragment of the Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite: “Muse, tell me the deeds of golden Cyprian Aphrodite, who stirs up sweet passion in the gods and subdues the tribes of mortal men and birds that fly in air and all the many creatures that the dry land rears, and all the sea”

❝ Goddess of the hunt, the moon, and chastity. She was the daughter of Leto and Zeus, and the twin of Apollo. She possesses perfect aim with a bow, the ability to change herself and others into animals, and control disease and healing. Artemis believed she had been chosen by the Fates to be a midwife, particularly as she had assisted her mother in the delivery of her twin brother Apollo. All of her companions remained virgins, and Artemis closely guarded her own chastity. Artemis was invoked by women in labour and She is the protector of youth, especially of young girls.

Edward Burne-Jones, paintings from The Flower Book (1882-1898)
The Flower Book collects 38 round watercolors by the Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones based on the folknames of flowers. Burne-Jones said that he wanted “the name and the picture to be one soul together, and indissoluble, as if they could not exist apart” and that “it is not enough to illustrate them—that is such poor work: I want to add to them or wring their secret from them.” He left the series to his wife, Georgina, who published them in a facsimile edition of 300 in 1905.
