OMG REALLY. why do people think it's a good idea to say this stuff.

listen I have nothing against Alex Naddour generally but the fact that after how unnecessarily super extra he was during nationals about “coming for the bet in the world” he ended up not even winning a medal is kinda hilarious to me

gotcha, thanks! pity, the rest of the routine was SO BEAUTIFUL but he's got lots of time to figure it all out :)

And since y'all are really worked up today, I may as well jump in with Opinions:

1) Both WAG podiums today were right. Fan’s routine is really cleverly constructed and Elena has more built in form stuff. Also Masha’s Cheng score was too high but so was Jade’s Amanar so it’s all good.

2) Ashton crying is fine. Not liking or sympathising with Ashton is also fine unless you’re not like sociopathic about it.

3) Happy for everyone on the rings podium and I think it was probs right, but Samir 😥 but Liu ♥️

4) Still confused what happened to Weng’s pommel score? D and E both below what I expected but I am not a pommels expert of any kind

5) YES MAX YES ♥️♥️♥️

6) I have zero problems with people celebrating a medal when someone falls, unless there’s some reason we already expect them to be jerks. Female gymnasts are held to insane sportsmanship standards compared to basically any other athlete and not only is it unfair, it’s also sorta boring. Let them live.

7) Something about Nina’s style on bars just doesn’t appeal to me? I dunno, construction is cool but she’s not my choice. But still super exciting for Belgium!!

8) Chinese men are awesome and super underrated and I’m really happy for them ♥️

Every time I see someone pretend people over 18 are not responsible for their politics I die a bit inside. I wish some of us could just opt out of being screwed over by systems the same way others can opt out of being held responsible for upholding them. 🤷🏻‍♀️
