as a person of color myself, my heart hurts especially for the people of color that will never feel safe in the watcher fandom again.

As today is the first day of the Ghost Files Live UK Tour, this is a friendly reminder to act accordingly at the event:

Do NOT boo them.

Do NOT throwing things at the guys.

Do NOT ask/make ridiculous and uncalled for statements during the q&a portion.

And in general:

Do NOT ruin the fun for others at the show and for the future.

We all understand why people are upset, and feelings are valid after everything that happened. But please remember that the boys are people too. They are human and make mistakes AND have feelings.

Anywho, to all that are going this week I hope you have a fun time and enjoy the show!!

I can't believe that Steven Lim is actually real. You're telling me there's a whimsical lad out there with delightfully colourful hair who loves cooking and mixing up silly little drinks for his friends while pelting them with ice cubes and that he's not just a figment of my imagination??? And he's an alien who ate his co-host??? And he hangs out with puppets??? And he's from the Big Apple???

In Worth a Shot we see Steven make two actually good cocktails. It is quite possible that Steven has gotten better at it through practice and by learning from Ricky, but I prefer to believe he has always been capable of making good cocktails and actively chose to create horrible drinks and force Ryan and Shane to drink them.

I hope this is okay of me to bring up because I really don't want to detract from the racism directed at Steven.

But speaking as an autistic person, some of the things I saw being said about him... Well, they did not exactly make me feel good or appreciated or welcome by/in the fandom in general.

Things like... saying he is unpleasant, he has bad vibes, he is unlikeable and all of that. Also blowing unfortunate word choices WAY out of proportion.

The thing is, I relate to Steven a lot. I won't speculate about him being non-neurotypical, I am not saying that he is autistic. But as an autistic person, some of his traits and personality are relateable to me.

Like... I am weird, I have weird vibes and I have trouble communicating. A big fear of mine is that I will word things weirdly and accidentally be rude or insensitive.

And seeing people going after him like this is really not comforting, ya feel?

One last thing that still makes me sad is how the "Steven only eats gold", "Steven is a little rich fancy boy", "Steven and his gilded tract" were all inside jokes between the ghoul boys and Steven/Andrew. It rose up during their fake feud at Buzzfeed. It used to be fun.

People took that so seriously and now they've twisted what is supposed to be an ironic joke about a picky eater who used to subsist on Malaysian food or chicken nuggets only actually trying new things, sharing this experience with the viewer .
