4/12 update where I see last update was dated 3/13 instead of 3/12 lol

While I didn't get the profile sheets done (again...) I did get several other stuff worked on, including testing obsidian, transferring and making profile sheets there, but I didn't like that so I went to OneNote, which I am still currently using.

Also reworked how I'm doing the profile sheets, mainly cutting away roughly half of the amount I was originally going to do (since I don't need them-).

I also worked on a few v1 themes, where I also looked into mixing a little bit, and now just have a Blank Space remake sitting here... (sometime soon hopefully).

Worked on a front view sketch of Error!Sans which I was going to try to start modelling, but haven't yet.

Now, for a little bit of info for the story/s:

Chaos/Tale is made up of 6 stories, all primarily in different Multiverses, with a seventh that is told somewhat in the background that links them all together. These are not planned to be made in chronological order, which is:

1. Prelude - A remake of the original/extra story, with an expansion on mostly similar plot points, along with a couple new ones.

2. Iteration - Expanding on the concept of the second Multiverse that was originally written, but with more focus on the characters, and a different path for their story (which is the route it mostly would have gone down without the 'interruption'.

3. Evershifting - Following one of my favourite characters as they are thrust into the multiverse, helping fight against the Multiverse's 'God' and their control over the balances holding the Multiverse together.

4. Trailing - Following an ally of the broken ‘Star Sans’s’, in a ‘darker’ fight for the balance between Creation and Destruction. Between Life and Death.

5. InSilence - The first story that will be made, which focuses on a somewhat outside view of the fights between Ink and Error, having to decide who is in the right, with what little evidence they have.

6. MosiacVerse - The final story, which is what rewriting and expanding the original story for like 2-4 years eventually led to before and along with when I started delving into the backstories of the 'wanderers' (originally called ‘balancers’), whose stories are all told previously. This is a semi remake of the original story, but (I’m aiming for at least) written much better, along with some different and wild ideas.

Anyways, that’s about it for this month, let’s hope I can actually focus more in May, and hopefully everyone is doing well!~

3/13 Easter update ig lol

Chaos/Tale: Definitely didn't get as much progress done as I wanted, but I did clean up the working files a bit more, as well as reworking the profile sheets (and how I'm doing them) to make it easier to rework an existing sheet for a different character. Due to this rework, I have all but restarted them, however most should be easier to do as I still have the old ones, just need to transfer them into the new tables. I also got a very basic 3D Sans model done, and while it isn't good for animation, I have learnt how to use blender to make the models, as well as rig them and do weight painting for animation. This went through a few iterations, and in April I'm going to try and get a basic Error!Sans model done, which will be used for a small animation test and art test. I've also decided to get proper concept art which can be used as backgrounds if I upload any of the v1 themes I work on (these aren't final themes, just finishing the general idea/feeling of them).

Other: Finished the first assessment at uni, and have started the second (almost finished YEP). I've decided that at some point in the future I'm going to revisit some of them, and try to redo them with the same constraints (time limit etc.). Also started playing Celeste, then Stardew's 1.6 update for a bit- (not addicted yet)

2/12 YEP

I started a little log of progress I've made (also gonna do these for other projects when they come up, but only have two rn), so I can check my progress a bit more easily, and also share it a bit more easily! First things first, the goal I had for this month wasn't reached- still got a lot of profile sheets to do, however I did start getting more consistent later into the month which i'd say is a good sign of getting them mostly done next month!

The main other thing that came up was thinking of whether to animate in 2D or 3D. While I was wanting to do this in 2D, I don't think I can, and it would take much longer to do, whereas 3D will take a bit longer to get ready before I start animating, but should be more consistent style wise, as well as quicker between uploads (in theory at least). I also got some general clean up done, and and have some goals to do next month, so ye!

Welp, smaller update, but still an update, now onto next month... time is flying still

First month of 2024! Heu~

Good way into the Chaos/Tale character profiles, and some reference sheets. Went through some of the older files, mainly cleaning up old reference files that I don't need (still saving images, just not the files), and looked through the OSTs I've somewhat made (little pieces to start with), which will be finished up when they can be compared to the scenes they will be in. Also, in note of going through the OST concepts I've done, I've realized just how much time has passed and I have done almost nothing compared to what I should have..... I'm aiming to complete the character profiles by end of February, and get someway into the reference sheets as well. These reference sheets aren't going to be made 'perfect', but rather as a way to see what the base design/s are, there will be differences when I'm more used to and better at drawing them. If you're wondering why Error here doesn't have a scarf, that is because Chaos/Tale is made of around 6 stories that somewhat work together to form a larger story, so there will be multiple of the same characters, as such I'm making them a little different (or at least try to be somewhat different, even some personality is different).

Also started uni again so YIPPEE that's a thing again. I've also started streaming and working on the Distance Collection artworks again, these are just using a Minecraft Screenshot as reference for an artwork as both art practice and trying to work on an art style. Also just drawing some Sans occasionally, gotta get better at drawing him- Anyway, time is flying, 1/12 down ig-~

Heu!~

So I forgot about update videos... anyway! I'm currently on holiday, away from my pc, but I have a small(?) update for Chaos/Tale and a few general things, and I wanted to try and do these lil updates, maybe monthly... not sure, anyways!

First things first, I have started work on some character profile sheets, all hand written for easier access when I need them (that's the idea at least). Mostly going to make them for the more 'major' characters and not every character who appears once, which I feel I've made a good amount of progress on so far!

Once I get home and have these finished, I'm gonna work on finishing re-writing the story, as well as making proper reference sheets for at least most of these profile sheets.

After this I'm gonna work on the storyboard for the entire animation, then an animatic, while also working on a concept/idea for character themes!

Idea here is that it'll take a bit longer before I can upload the animations, but there should be less time between uploads (even if it's just a little less) and that the story will (hopefully) be good!

I am also aiming to have at least one animation done by the end of the year, which will probably be about 5-10 minutes long (they will all aim to be about the same length as well), but the priority is pre-production : )

Outside of Chaos/Tale, I've started uni, done a bit of streaming (hoping to have a schedule soon-), and started trying to learn Japanese on duolingo.

Just a smaller, more personal addition here, in the future there will probably be more stuff, like updates on other projects or something~ (which I am noting ideas of for if I want to start them)

Anyways! Been a bit of a read, and has been quite a year, hopefully everyone's has been at least somewhat good, and hopefully 2024 will be at least a bit better!~

YEP hello once again, I've opened tumblr for the first time in a long time-

So, I read my last post, and my main reason for making this update is that, hey, once again I've changed how I'm going to tell the story, and I want to explain how I'm doing it currently (hopefully it won't change again-).

With how much I've expanded on the story/world, Chaos/Tale is really now a handful of stories that all link together, and if I tried to reduce it back down to what it was I feel it wouldn't be as good anymore. Now with having a few different stories, mainly sort of background stories on some characters, I am going to separate each story into parts, such as the first story being 2 or 3 parts, which while I'm here, currently has the first part's animatic almost complete, although I'm going to finish all of the animatics for that story before actually animating it, and also finish planning the entire story/s.

I also just, idk if it was me over-estimating myself, trying to be safe from copystrikes or something, but I have multiple Youtube channels, like separate for music, animation, and gaming/general. Yea-, I've decided to discontinue the other channels, and only upload on my main, which I'm planning on making a video which will have the original intro/prologue I made, as well as other songs I had made, including a re-make of the prologue's music.

idk if I've gone through everything I'd want to, or even properly explained it, but eh. I know I should have gotten more done at this point but welp, I don't plan on stopping, sunk-cost fallacy be damned.

I think this idea of how I intend to tell the story will remain, I think I will first plan out the entire story into ‘book’ sort of format first, then I can more easily translate that to how I intend to tell it, although it’ll probably be posted somewhere as well.

Hey, I might even have some animation in it, at least for some scenes that I really want to see animated, but we’ll see when I get to that point.

An Update.

So, tldr, I am going to be changing how I tell this story. The animation ‘Chaos/Tale:ASOSC’, will basically be cancelled, as well as other comics and short stories I was planning, and are going to be replaced by a (probably) few hour long video going through the entire story.

Now, to actually go into this: before I was introduced to Undertale, the only thing I really knew about me and my future was that I play video games and watch YouTube videos, just an average kid ig. Some time after I was introduced to Undertale, as well as the fandom (especially being Underverse and Glitchtale), as well as me trying to get back into drawing, I decided to try out a couple short animations, mainly basic sketches and stuff, and figured I enjoyed it, and I ended up deciding to try and make a Undertale fan animation, which I ended up deciding to plan the story first, posting it on wattpad first. Since I enjoyed making it a fair amount, plus the other real interest of mine not being something I could really 'make my future’, I figured this is my interest and future.

When I actually started animating it, I made that 'intro’ video in a few days, I didn’t really take my time with it, even the music I did in an afternoon I believe. Since then, I had tried to work on the first episode, and got quite a bit done on the first scene, but at some point I realised I have no idea how to draw characters, and I didn’t like how they look, and since then I have struggled to actually get myself to enjoy practicing drawing characters.

And now, after having spent a year and a half (probably at least), of trying to practice characters, as well as re-writing and expanding the story, I believe/hope I have learned what I actually like: Worldbuilding. This includes a story and/or history for that world. And seeing as how my favourite game is Minecraft, especially building and exploring worlds I get giving, plus how with Chaos/Tale I continue to default back to expanding the world and story, it really makes sense that this is at least closer to what I enjoy doing. Although currently I am still looking into if this is really my interest, I guess I just want to be sure.

Now, for what I intend to do for the future of this story; I am thinking of just telling it… I guess (idk if there is another term or something to say this-), through a YouTube video or two, as well as continue expanding on and showing off the worlds. I’m also going to finish up and show off all concept arts (and just arts) I have and will make, as well as finish up all the music I have wips of.

I do want to tell this story, and I think this will be the best way to do it (although my voice may suffer-), but I guess now, we will just have to see how this works, and I hope I properly explained my thoughts here.

Public hiatus

as the title says, I will be on a sort of public hiatus, which means nothing is going to change here, but I am now making it ‘official’.

I am going to continue working on Chaos/Tale, and at this point I can say that when I finally finish and upload the first episode, and upload the remade prologue, the story and everything will be a lot better than it currently is.

As for when I hope to have the first episode done? sometime next year, This year will be focused on making sure the plot is good, and making sure I have the ability to make the animation good to go along with it.

Updates/Announcements stuff

So, a few updates and announcements, first off, this is the main/official blog for my Chaos/Tale story! I’ll answer asks if I get any here, and most/all updates for Chaos/Tale will be posted here, including this.

Second, Pride Month! I don’t really know what to say here, but hope you all enjoy being yourself, even if you can’t show it or be yourself around others for any reason.

Third, and the main/original reason for this announcement, when is the first episode of the series coming out? probably next year, hopefully sometime in the middle of the year or before, but I am not sure about this. I was originally going to try to have it done by the middle of this year, but that has proven to be a miscalculation with how much I could work on it. the reason for this is as I am in my final year of school (year 12), I have quite a bit more work to do. Because of this, plus life, I have fallen way behind with how much I wanted to have done by now. However, this does not mean I have not been doing anything for this story, which will (hopefully) be discussed in a future post.

Anyway, I think this is it, at least I don’t remember anything else to put on this post, so yea, hope you all are at least somewhat enjoying whatever it is you are doing!

first episode of the Chaos/Tale animation is going pretty well so far i'd say.

I've also had an idea for a story on wattpad that I want to start working on when i have time (though I don't know when that may be), so that'll be fun for the next wattpad story i make. (not gonna be part of the Chaos/Tale storyline, 'Our Cycle' is going to be it's own thing)
