them disappearing and reappearing made his breath hitch since he wasn’t fully use to it. releasing the breath he was holding, he placed both hands on the glass. 

oh! 

jack was already in love with this baby boy and they have yet to meet. he wanted to go into the nursery and just pick him up while telling him everything was going to be okay now. his head cocked to the side a bit as he listened to michael explain that the baby would grow up to resemble the winchester’s patriarch physique.

jack was once mistaken for dean’s brother, so maybe it could work. none the less jack would always love the baby. he turned his head and smiled at the other. “c-can we see the others? i like him but i kinda want to see the others too.”

he wanted to ask what angels were still loyal to michael and if maybe they could choose the angel together..

michael knew that in any other scenario, any other time, fondness would have flooded him. jack’s feelings and the way he was looking at the small boy were enough to tell him he had made the right decision.

the immortal’s smile was blinding and michael almost found himself answering to it.

emotions or not, his whole being remembered how it felt, how it was.

he almost wished he could feel them again, simply to feel the warmth in his heart at his partner’s joy and excitation.

“ of course. ”

michael also had a small preference for this boy, but he had decided, when seeking for suitable children, that jack would have the final say in who they would adopt.

“ you look like you want to ask something. ”

he pointed out before taking his hand. they disappeared again to reappear this time in front of a house. once again, nobody noticed the strange men on the sidewalk.

“ this one has more physical features resembling you, although with paler hair and complexion. ” a young mother stepped out of her house, a small child in her arms. “ he is a tad energetic, but i didn’t think it would be a problem. ”

Jack knew nephilims were frowned upon and forbidden, that didn’t bother him. It did bother him slightly when it felt like Michael was beating around the bush about calling him what he was, an alien. Jack rubbed his arm a bit, looking away as he chewed on his bottom lip.

An adopted child would mean the same to him as if he would birth a child, but the way Michael said it kind of rubbed him the wrong way. Turning his gaze back to look at Michael be blinked a bit in confusion. Had the angel been planning this for a while, or at least long enough for him to find a select choice of children that resemble their physical traits.

He opened his mouth but soon snapped it shut with a small smile. Reaching up he grasped the other’s hand. “That sounds great, yes. I’d like to see the children you have selected. “How old are they, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“ young. i assumed you would perhaps wish to see them grow? ”

they disappeared to reappear, unknown to the mortals surrounding them, in front of a window. on the other side of it, a baby boy slept soundly, dark hair and his eyes closed.

“ he is soon to be orphaned. his mother didn’t survive the birth and his father won’t survive the mother. ” cold summary of the facts. “ he has your eyes and will resemble the winchester’s patriarch physique as he grows older. ” he looked back at jack. “ although perhaps would you prefer we find one more alike yourself instead of me considering my own physical attributes can be rather... changing. ”

his glance shifted back on the small human form.

“ he is also, like the others i chose, from a lineage that can house angels still loyal to me, if the need arise where he must be protected. ”
