It was Valentine’s day, or at least probably close to one of her favorite holidays. To make it even better she had a boyfriend to celebrate it with. They were far more limited as to what they could now these days. That didn’t stop Sarita from trying, she had a come up with a good plan for today. She hoped Kenny would be excited about it as she was. 

“Happy Valentine’s Day honey, I have a surprise for you too.”

Kenny was caught off guard by Sarita’s words. This wasn’t as bad as forgetting an anniversary, but it almost felt just as bad, somehow. Sometimes he kept track of the days, but most often they ran together. Sarita was always on top of things, however.

❝Awh, hell. That today?❞ he said nonchalantly, lips curving up in just the smallest of smiles.

The basis behind Valentine’s Day was kinda dry for him by now. It was a day he and Katjaa always tried to take off work to spend time with each other... And sometimes their son when they couldn’t find a babysitter. But when he thought about it... He never got to spend that last Valentine’s Day with his wife or son... Did he?

... But now Kenny had Sarita, and if anything, he knew that Katjaa wouldn’t want him to be sulking all day. He had a lovely, beautiful woman to spend the day with, hell, the world with, the least he could do was humor her. A rough hand rested on one of the woman’s shoulders.

❝And what would that surprise be, babe?❞

ok y’all so here’s the deal i am coming back to this blog. i moved 6 hours away from home into my own apartment, god laid off from my job and am going to school. until i find a job i am going to have disgusting amounts of free time. so in that respect, expect me to be around a bit more.

i also have something very exciting to share with you guys - i’m finally going to be starting to write my twdg s2 rewrite fangame. i need everyone’s help for this -- share with me anything you would like to see in the season remake. i’ll not be adding any new characters but rather expanding on the characters that telltale included in s2 - and making them better and with more depth. i need help specifically with plot points, dialogue choices and the Big Choices (you know the ones) that will split the way different players play the game. if you have any ideas or requests, please shoot me an ask or message on here, or you can ask for my skype and we can discuss there.

i know you all can help out with this project! if you have anything to give, please let me know! i will update you all on this project as it comes together!

It’s become a habit to block out that voice. Kenny continues to keep to himself for the moment, occasionally twirling an empty shot glass between his fingers, a sort of signal to show that he’d like another, rude as it was. Surprisingly enough, Kenny isn't exactly comfortable addressing many people in this town verbally. Not yet, at least.

And when the small glass is refilled with that beautiful caramel-colored liquid, he picks it up again, tilting it toward his lips, as if to kiss it instead of drink it. Mr. Toad’s words swim in his head just like the warmth of the alcohol he’s previously consumed. 

For a second, he calmly sips at his whiskey, as if a tween trying it for the first time. Then he drinks it slowly.

And perhaps a minute or so after Toad had actually spoken, Kenny finally realizes the weight of those words. Who did this guy -- or rather, frog -- or toad, or whatever -- think he was?

Kenny’s lip curls and his eyebrows furrow with anger.

He growls in a Sheriff Bigby-esque sort of tone as he slams the shot glass, now empty, on the counter; the force isn’t enough to break it, but it’s enough to gain the attention of other casual drinkers in the bar; but just as quickly, they look away, and Kenny looks at Toad, the same fire in his eyes that’s there everytime the two converse, or so it seems.

❝You don’t get it, do you? If I could do just that, don’t you think I would?❞ And then he mutters under his breath, ❝Fuckin’ frog,❞ as his glass is once more refilled.

Good. He’s going to need that.
