D&D NPC Idea
Perfectly Ordinary Dog
Low strength, very low dex, low constitution, high intelligence, low wisdom, godlike charisma
Is capable of doing anything a PC can do (climb/intimidate/bluff/etc) but with disadvantage on anything that would be difficult or impossible for a dog.
A loyal dog that follows the party. No one knows where it came from. It does its best to help the party, but it only knows a few generic commands. They are:
Sit: Perfectly Ordinary Dog sits. Leave It: Perfectly Ordinary Dog disengages from all opponents. Shake: Perfectly Ordinary Dog casts Earthquake. Come: Perfectly Ordinary Dog casts Teleport on itself to move directly next to the person who issues the command. Stay: Perfectly Ordinary Dog casts Turn to Stone on itself. The effect lasts until Perfectly Ordinary Dog is told otherwise. Speak: Perfectly Ordinary Dog casts Speak With Animals on itself. In addition to the spell effects, it removes disadvantage from all rolls involving speech (bluff, etc.) Sing: Perfectly Ordinary Dog uses Bardic Performance. Heel: Perfectly Ordinary Dog casts Cure Light Wounds on the most injured party member within range. Down: Perfectly Ordinary Dog casts Gate and summons a portal to a random netherworld dimension.
The PCs do not know about any of Perfectly Ordinary Dog’s abilities and must find them out via trial and error.

Raincaller's Horn
Staff, artifact (requires attunement)
The horn of the Raincallers is revered by those that work the land knowing the bounty it brings to nature around it. Those who are lucky enough to wield one of these staves have the power to influence the world in a way that few others could and bring soothing balm to both land and flesh. This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. While you hold it, you gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls. While holding this staff, you are immune to diseases. Additionally, you can always sense the nearest body of water within 10 miles of your current location. While attuned to this weapon, you gain a pool of 300 hit points stored within the staff. You can use an action to blow the horn and cause healing rain to fall over creatures of your choosing, that you can see, within 120 ft. The healing rain restores an amount of hit points of your choosing to each creature and removes that amount from the pool of hit points. If you restore 10 or more hit points to a target, they are also cured of blindness, deafness, or any diseases affecting them. The hit point pool is restored once per day when the staff is immersed in water.
Raincaller’s Blessing (1/year). You can take an hour to perform a ritualistic series of calls from the horn on this staff to call the rains to the land around you. When you do this, all land in a 50 mile radius from where you blew the horn becomes blessed. For one year, rains of holy water fall over the land regularly, cleansing it of evil effects and enriching its soil. The land becomes extremely fertile and crops grown from it are much larger than normal, wildlife becomes plentiful, and creatures that drink the waters from the rain gain advantage on saving throws against contracting diseases. When the effect ends, the lands return to their normal fertility and rain amounts over a course of 30 days unless it is blessed again by this staff.

Good greetings, one and all! After 6 years and almost a dozen weekly updates for my patrons to keep me going, my newest masterpiece is finally complete!
So, there's quite the story behind this class. When I first got into this whole homebrewing thing, I was pretty new to 5th edition, maybe only a couple one-shots under my belt. But when a buddy of mine asked me to join a campaign he was gonna start, I thought it would be just the best idea to homebrew a class to play for my first major character.
The class in question was a tinker, and inventor of things and wielder of all kinds of steampunk-y gadgets. I came to the table with a basic overview and the first few levels written out, and things were going great. I was having fun with it as I tinkered with the class and developed it further as we played, a bit like a certain claymation dog and a model train set. That was April of 2016.
But then things started to go wrong. As someone with ADHD, a wild imagination, and, at the time, boundless creative energy, I was making massive sweeping changes every couple months because I was constantly changing my mind as to what I wanted the class to be, always coming up with new ideas I wanted to experiment with instead of sticking with what I had. Months turned to years, and I soon realized that my beloved Tinker was stuck in the dreaded Development Hell.
BUT NO MORE! Thanks to a new regiment of making weekly updates for my patrons to keep me making consistent progress, I've finally finished this damnable project. I can't even begin to describe how pleased I am with the final result, and it's so surreal to finally see what was basically my first ever 5e homebrew completed after all these years. And I have you all to thank for it. Were it not for the Foundry and you all who have supported me through all it's ups and downs, I honestly don't thing I ever would have finished it. So thank you, stay safe, and don't forget to love each other.

Fungus-Furred Flounder Ferret
Living in humid and dense woodlands, the fungus-furred flounder ferret spends most of its day pressed flat against the forest floor or overgrown trees. While doing so, the little mammal is nearly impossible to spot among the vegetation and lies in ambush to feed on insects, frogs or smaller-sized lizards. The most peculiar feature of this cunning creature is its symbiotic relationship with a likewise wondrous type of lichen densely growing in its fur: the Pluvia Licheri – an ingredient highly praised by thieves and sinister alchemists.
