Why we shouldn't be focusing only on one network
Hey everyone,
First, I must say it's my opinion and if you agree or disagree is completely up to you.
Second, don't get me wrong - I think IMDbTV is a great network, but I think we should also focus on Netflix. Focusing solely on one network is a mistake (in my opinion) and that's why:
As long as we show our love for the show to more networks we have a bigger chance it'll be picked up by one of them. As I see it, IMDbTV and Netflix are our best options. Now you might say "we request on Netflix daily so what more can we do?" a few more things actually.
Streaming MacGyver on IMDbTV is the best way (and a great one!) to show our love and support for the show. We definitely should keep doing this. But since we can't stream the show on Netflix, the best way to let them know we're here is to make noise. While requesting can definitely help, I think it's not enough. I believe we should send postcards and paperclips to Netflix to let them know we're still very much here (IMDbTV clearly gets that message).
Why Netflix is still a possibility to #SaveMacGyver?
They said no to saving a few cancelled shows (such as Prodigal Son) but they never said no to us. Actually, they have no problem rejecting campaigns, so if they wouldn't be interested in MacGyver they would've said so by now.
At the beginning of the campaign one of the fans called Netflix (I prefer to keep her name anonymous) and the representative told her they can't take actions until the lawsuit is over or dismissed. It might be a lie, but since it came from a Netflix representative and not from the fan, it's worth mentioning. Any way, any network can't save the show as long as the lawsuit is still on, so while we're waiting for that to happen, we might as well keep making noise to as much networks as we can.
Netflix is an international netweork (as opposed to IMDbTV, sadly). They might be interested in the show because fans from 81 countries are interested in saving it. As the one checking (regularly) the audience demand for MacGyver around the world, I can say the demand is above average in many counties. The latest reports are on my Twitter account (if you're interested - @MRpaperclip).
A few days ago it was announced by Netflix their former cancelled show Manifest would be back for one more season. It's a great example they listen to fans if they're interested enough in saving the show. Of course Manifest was already on Netflix so the fans had no problem to stream it (as I said, streaming a show is one of the best ways to track attention to any campaign), but since it's not the case with MacGyver we should make noise differently.
Netflix saved shows before. The most famous example is of course Lucifer and they did wonders to the show. Now Lucifer is well known around the world and has five seasons (the sixth is out in a few months). MacGyver is not different in genre so it's still a possibility.
So that's it. I think we should focus a little bit more on Netflix (by sending them postcards and paperclips) because it's clearly an option. Even if you don't agree with me (which is perfectly understandable and valid) please keep streaming on IMDbTV and requesting on Netflix.
Thank you for reading

How to #SaveMacGyver
"Knowing isn't enough. We must apply. Being willing isn't enough. We must do." - Angus MacGyver "It doesn't take the all world." Actually, in this case it does. There's a reason the Phoenix team is a team. Together they're stronger and balance each other out. You never see Mac solving problems on his own, because everyone has an important role. To save our show we simply have to work together. I gathered all the ways we've come up with to #SaveMacGyver. If you see something you didn't do and you can - please do it. If you see something I missed, feel free to tell me. And if you have any more ideas to #SaveMacGyver, I'd be happy to know. Have faith. It might take some time, but it can be done. How do I know? because it's been done before many times.

CBS emails:
I don’t usually post on social media but I figured if there was a time it would be now. Normally I’m too afraid to let my voice be heard but if there is one thing I’ve learned from this show its to fight for what you believe in. Right now I believe in getting at least one more season to tie up all the loose ends and get an ending we deserve. If not for us fans than at least for the cast and crew who have worked hard over the last 5 years especially this past year. So please please fans, old or new, or people in general let’s try to get one more season!
Side note: Does anyone know how to email cbs???

It's all in the wrist
Just a little #MacRiley one shot I thought about. Again, English is not my first language, so take that into consideration.
Enjoy!
The arcade was crowded than usual, but then again it was Sunday morning. Families and children were all around, running, playing, and eating greasy pizzas. For Mac and Riley it was the perfect opportunity to start a new family tradition.
“So is this the special place you wanted to show us?” asked the six years old Jack.
“It sure is, honey. Your father and I made some great memories here and it’s about time we make new ones, as a family,” said Riley. She smiled at Mac in reassuring, who was holding the jumping four years old Gwen.
“I love this place! Can we go and play?” asked Gwen excitedly.
Mac chuckled. “Not so fast. There is one game we’d like to show you before you run to the car racing machine.”
“Oh, man, there is a car racing machine here? Can we stay the night?” Even though his parents laughed, Jack looked dead serious.
“No, but we can spend a few hours here and eat a greasy pizza. How does that sound?” said Riley with a smile.
“Sound awesome! So can we go now?”
“Hu-hu. Skee Ball first.” Mac led them to the machine and put a few coins inside. “Well, the rules are simple. You have to roll the ball and get it inside one of the bullseye rings. The smaller the ring is, the more points you get. At the end of the game the player who got more points wins. Simple, right?” He took one of the balls and with a clean motion put it inside the forty ring.
“It doesn’t look so hard,” shrugged Gwen.
“Oh, but trust me, honey, it’s harder than it looks. Wanna give it a shot?”
Mac handed one ball to each of his children and stepped aside. He stood with Riley by the machine, one of his arms tagging her close, and watched their children play. Actually, they were watching Jack trying to play, while Gwen successfully put three balls inside the rings. “She’s way too good in this game,” said Mac with amusement and shock.
“She probably got it from me. It’s all in the genes, Mac,” his wife teased him.
He chuckled and got closer to his son, who was eyeing the balls in frustration. “Need some help, bud?”
“I don’t get it, dad. I know what you’re about to say – “ Jack started.
“You do?”
“Yeah. It’s all in the math, I know. Like you taught me last month, according to the laws of projective motion, velocity and launch angle determine trajectory and distance over a parabolic arc. I know it, and yet I still can’t do it.”
Mac smiled at his frustrated kid and snuck a quick glance at his wife. “Actually, it’s all in the wrist.”
“What?”
“Forget about the math just this once and focus on your technique. The motion has to come from the wrist.”
“Finally! It only took you ten years to learn that!” Riley said happily while approaching them . Mac laughed and covered his son’s hand with his. “Like this,” he said and moved their hands in a smooth motion, which caused the ball to fall right inside the fifty ring. “Now try again.”
Jack eyed his two parents, who looked at him with little reassuring smiles, then took one of the balls and with one motion put it inside the closest ring. “I did it!” he shouted happily.
“You sure did, honey,” smiled Riley and leaned her head against Mac’s shoulder. The kids kept playing the game, now when Jack knew how to throw the balls, they were challenging each other to get the highest score.
“So, it’s all in the wrist, hu?” Riley turned her head to Mac, a teasing smile on her lips.
“What can I say, I learned from the best.” He sent her his cheeky smile, the one that still melted her heart.
“I saw! And I have no idea when it happened. As far as I can remember, you still sucked at this game on our first date.”
“That’s hardly true. I scored 120 points on our first date.”
“And I scored 560 points on that day. Admit it, babe, I kicked your butt.” Her eyes were sparkling with pure love and happiness and her smile was teasing. Again. Even after all these years, two children and one in the making, she still was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and had an incredible effect on him. He snuck his hands around her waist and put them on her barely swollen belly.
“Play nice, Mrs. Macgyver. We’re in public,” he whispered to her ear. He planted a long kiss on the side of her neck, making her breath hitch.
“Oh, c’mon! Mom, dad, not here!” grunted Jack in disgust.
They both laughed and stepped away, while Riley playfully hit Mac on the shoulder. “Yeah, Mac, behave. We’re in public.” She winked, leaving Mac completely speechless and approached the kids. “Well, now when you finished, here are a few coins. You can go and play together, where we can see you, and when you’ll finish a greasy pizza will be waiting for you on that table.” She pointed to a table near by and handed each of them some coins.
The kids didn’t wait a second to go and play, running straight to the car racing machines.
“Unbelievable. We took the time to teach then Skee Ball, and yet they’re still more excited about the racing cars,” murmured Mac from beside her.
Riley’s smile widened in response. “I guess it’s Jack’s doing. He did love cars.” Her tone was gentle, like every time she spoke about him.
“He would’ve loved it. Playing with the kids, teaching them Skee Ball and eating a greasy pizza.” Once again Mac hugged Riley from behind, not caring if anyone paid them attention, basically because they both needed comfort at the moment.
They watched their children playing for a while, not saying a word, both were comfortable and content, until Riley’s stomach growled. “I guess the little one’s hungry,” chuckled Mac.
“And she is not the only one,” said Riley.
Mac smiled, stepped away and placed a quick kiss to Riley’s mouth. “How about you sit here, watch over the kids, and I’ll go buy us that greasy pizza?”
“Sounds good,” she replied. She watched Mac going to order pizzas and drinks, when not far from him Jack and Gwen were playing against another two kids they just met. She smiled and rested her hands on her belly, thinking she can’t wait to bring Ellen in a few years to this arcade for another Sunday tradition.

How I know MacRiley is endgame (and MacDesi isn’t)
First, I have to say that I have nothing against the actors and I think they’re all doing an amazing job.  Second, clearly I’m not a MacDesi fan, but I don’t hate Desi. I think she’s a good person (a bit bitter, but she is one of the good guys) and she deserves happiness, but not with Mac. She deserves to have that special bond with someone, just like Mac and Riley do (perhaps with her ex, because they never found the body?). Third, I do think that Mac and Desi have passion and lust, but that’s it. Their relationship lacks love and trust, and it’s super important to have that in a relationship. I also have to say that English is not my first language, so bear that in mind. With that being said, here are my reasons (until 5×12):
Riley and Mac have so much in common: father issues, a deep connection with Jack, trust is everything to them, they’re both nerds, and both of them can improvise (actually, Riley learned to improvise from Mac). When you look at it, the only thing that Mac and Desi have in common is their lucky number and them not being big fans of guns.
Mac and Riley have their own place, where they can play and eat greasy pizza.
Riley followed Mac when he went “rouge” and said she trusts him.
She realized she has feelings for him in Germany when he was holding her hand. On that note, he held her hand the second time when he thought they were going to die (4×12).
Mac said to Bozer he and Riley had a moment when he was dating someone ELSE.
Mac told Riley things he never told anyone, including his best friend and his girlfriend (who was his ex-girlfriend at the time).
All the things they said to each other (you don’t hear “just friends” talk like that):
“There’s nothing you can’t handle, Mac”.
“Because at the end of the day, I trust you Mac.”
“You mean to world to me.”
“I trust you. Implicitly.”
“Of course I do. I see you.”
“I’m always listening to you.”
“I’ll always have your back, Mac.”
When Jack died they were there for each other. Mac came to Riley when he wanted to have a Die Hard marathon, when Desi knew Jack too. But instead of going to her for comfort, he came to Riley, the one person who gets him the most, because he knew both of them were grieving and understand each other better than anyone.
Even his own aunt teased them. Riley, Mac and Gwen knew Riley wasn’t his girlfriend (“you know I’m not his girlfriend”), and yet she teased them, probably because she knew there was something between them.  On that note, after that Mac made it very clear: “we’re a package deal.”
Bozer is a MacRiley fan too. Back at the end of season 3 he said Mac and Desi equals messy. Besides, when he heard Mac was going to propose, he was shocked and disappointed and went straight to Riley. When you think about it, if her feelings were really gone, Bozer didn’t have to go and warn her. He could’ve wait for Mac to propose and then see how she’s doing, but he didn’t do it because she still has feelings for him.
In 4×1, when Russ asked Mac to gather back his team, the first person he went to was Riley, when the last person was Desi. I get why he went to Desi last (they had a messy breakup), but he didn’t have to go to Riley first. Actually, Mac has known Bozer since childhood, when he met Riley only a few years ago. That tells me their connection is so deep that she was the first person he wanted back on his team. Not to mention that when he saw her (after a long time of not keeping in touch) he called her Riles and said she looked good (she was wearing a WORK t-shirt, which was PURPLE).
When Mac explained to Bozer why he wanted to propose to Desi, he never said anything about love. He wanted to propose because it was “the right thing to do”. Even in 5×12 Mac said to Desi he wanted to propose so he wouldn't lose her, and again didn't say a thing about love (we all know about Mac’s fear of losing the people he cares about, but it’s not a reason to get married).
When Russ accused Mac for telling the truth to the merchandiser (4×11) he asked Riley first if she believed it, and in return she said “it’s hard not to worry about you, Mac”. She was his first choice, and she never doubted him.
In 4×12 Riley went after Mac because she wanted to protect him.
Mac admitted he always thought there was a wall between Riley and him but it was actually a door, meaning - he always had feelings for her, but he thought she never felt the same. After that, he told her to keep the door closed because she said her feelings went away.
When Mac heard about Riley’s feelings he looked at the ring and went to HER apartment, because, as he said, he “can’t forget the last 24 hours” as his girlfriend suggested. Hearing she had feelings for him changed everything for him.
When Aubrey broke up with Riley she went to Mac’s place, even though she could’ve go elsewhere (to Bozer’s place or to a hotel, for instance). And she brought him food, like she knew he didn’t eat anything at the fancy restaurant.
You don’t see “just friends” hug like Mac and Riley (take Riley and Bozer, for example). And you don’t see “just friends” hug THAT much (again, Riley and Bozer). It’s like they’re trying to find excuses to touch each other.
They flirt with each other, which “just friends” don’t do. Take 4×5 for example: when they pretended to be newlyweds, they were having WAY too much fun planning their honeymoon. This cover story was just for the night, and yet they made a whole conversation about it. When you compere it to 2×16, Mac and Leanna’s cover story was also a married couple, and they never brought their honeymoon up or even talked about their “so called” marriage (and that mission was lasted at least two days).
Even though Mac said “I love you” to Desi, she never said it back (and after 5x12 we know why).
Riley and Mac make each other laugh, while Desi doesn’t make Mac laugh as much as Riley does.
Mac and Riley defend each other. When Jack wanted to rescue Riley from the hackers team (2×2), Mac stopped him with his body and told him: “you’ll have to go through me. she can handle herself.” Right before Jack found out about Riley’s feelings for Billy, Mac also defended her and told Jack “she has great instincts. She needs you to trust her.” Mac also defended Riley in 4×9, when he said “she’s only trying to help.” Similarly, when the team thought Mac had switched sides Riley defended him and said: “you’re siding with Taylor over Mac, who doesn’t have an evil bone in his body.” And if that wasn’t enough, in order to protect him she deleted the footage of Mac and Scarlett escaping Phoenix.
Back in season 2 Mac was the one to notice Riley and Billy liked each other, when even Jack, who had known Riley for a long time, didn’t notice. That tells me he pays attention to her.
When Mac heard about Riley and Aubrey living together he was clearly jealous.
After hearing Riley never had snow on Christmas, Mac made a snow machine and they hugged for the first time.
Riley was the one who convinced Mac to give his father a second chance (3×4).
If I’m not mistaken, Mac was the first person who called Riley “Riles” (as far as I can remember, Jack used to call her Ri).
They know when the other is lying. In Germany Mac said to Riley “you don’t smile like that when you talk to your dad,” which also means he sees her. Back in season 3, when the team went to a wedding (3×14) Riley said to Mac, “you know, you’re a terrible liar.”
All Riley wants is for Mac to be happy, which is why she hides her feelings. She even said it a few times, and she also told Mac to not screw it up with Desi this time (5×3).
They’ve been there for each other when they were needed the most. When Riley broke up with Billy Mac comforted her and made her laugh. When Mac thought he couldn't disarm the Ghost’s bomb (3×8), she was the one to tell him “you always say emotions are more dangerous then the bomb at your feet. You can do this.” She was also there for him in 3×22, when she told him that there’s nothing he can’t handle.
After hearing his secret in 4×4, Riley promised Mac he would never be alone and he did the same.
They finish each other sentences (take 2×2 or 4×2 for example).
They always amaze each other (“you never cease to amaze me”). In 5×11, on the plane, Mac says to Riley “great work”. You can see Mac is impressed even after more than 4 years of working with her.
Mac just couldn’t let go of the idea that Riley had feelings for him, and all through 5×11 he keeps bringing it up, even though Riley doesn’t want to talk about it.
Based on the last conversation of Mac and Desi from 5×12, the only reason Mac wants Desi to move in with him is to find out if he is a replacement for her ex or not.
So with all that being said, have faith because we’re nearly there!
