Isaac and/or Nic thoughts??

i've talked abt isaac and his swagger before so i'll talk abt nic for once i don't give that boy enough love he's great. he's like, a great match with isaac cuz they're both just so good at rolling with it even early in the game when he's questioning it all nic still just decides eh fuck it and goes along with it it's so great

and like as someone who is myself a shut in with brain problems that part of his story always really resonated with me the ending where even after it all he just sort of goes back to living a shut in life bites because man it really is like that.

& he's such an interesting and endearing protagonist too he's just enough of a fish out of water to ask the questions the player wants to ask but not so out of water that you get frustrated with him and he bounces off the primary cast so well too

in a lot of ways he reminds me of myself really, the shut in stuff as mentioned, which really is to say my ultimate point here and my nic hottest take is i think a little estrogen would do that boy a world of good

i just don’t think “is dude gender neutral” is that productive of a conversation because a word can be gendered and still used regardless of gender. i call my male friends girlypop and my female friends man but i don’t think anybody would agree that those are somehow not gendered terms.

the real question is just “would you be willing to apologize and stop using a word if somebody told you it made them uncomfortable?” the answer to which in a surprising number of cases is no mostly because it seems like overall ppl r more upset abt getting accused of transphobia than they are abt being transphobic
