in addition to a box of chocolates wrapped individually with cheesy pick up lines on the wrapper, he gave her a nice, long shoulder rub. there were plenty of cars that needed her attention, but even the vehicle goddess had her own needs. Prompto always spoiled her on Valentine’s Day, with chocolates and candies and kisses and affection.

To hell with work today, she was going to spend it with Prom and his amazing massaging skills. Six, she was a lucky woman to have such a sweet man. She had decided to make him a big home cooked meal and turned off her phone, nothing would interrupt their time today.

“I’m the luckiest gal ‘round.” She turned her head up to give Prom a kiss.

He heard it's Valentine's Day so Simba quietly decides to leave a small vaguely heart shaped rock by Cindy before heading back outside.

Cindy looks down at the heart shape rock and back to the retreating form of Simba, she gets up and follows the cub, scooping him up in a hug.

“Thank you sweetie, Happy Valentine’s Day.” She said almost sing-songy as she snuggled her baby.

"Ya know," Cindy tapped a finger on her chin, "That doesn't sound half bad. Chocoberry pancakes it is!"

She walked over to the fridge and pulled out the blueberries and handed them to Dustin, "Here sleepyhead, give these a good rinse."

Cindy pulled out large bowl to mix her ingredients and started to measure them all out. If there was one thing that Pawpaw taught her to make, it was a mean pancake.

"Maybe I can take today off at the shop, me an' you can do somethin' instead. Whaddya say?"

“Hey sweetie, how’d ya sleep.” She placed a small kiss to the top of the boys head, hugged him lightly.

“Ya want me to make us some pancakes? I was thinkin’ either blueberry or chocolate chip.”

     Dustin never said anything past the small grunt he gave. It wasn’t annoyed or anything, but just a sleepy one that escaped him when he received the kiss on his head. ‘ Jus’ fine… ‘ He responded with a yawn.

     He stared at her through half lidded eyes as she spoke about the breakfast choices. Those actually sounded really good. But he couldn’t decide on just one flavour.

     ‘ Sounds good but– Why not just do both of them together? Chocolate chip blueberry pancakes… ‘

Still early, Dustin had gotten up but felt more than a little groggy. The moment he walked up to Cindy, he was instantly nestled right up against her. //I dunno have a sleepy Dustin?? \shrug\//

Cindy smiled as Dustin snuggled into her. Any chance she had to cuddle her baby you bet she’d take it.

Do you find it lonely in Hammerhead after Prompto left to bring back the sun? Did you regret anything? Do you find yourself missing him or are you doing fine? What kind of flowers would you leave at his grave?

At the questions being thrown at her Cindy can’t help but look down and pull her cap a bit lower to her face. Of course it was lonelier. It was quieter.

There wasn’t someone that was there to remind her that she should get some sleep, to not work so hard. To have a snack or to go out and take a walk.

He wasn’t there to laugh with anymore, at little things like the smudge on her face that looked like a frowning face. He wasn’t there to take a picture of it and then get ‘mad’ when she put a smudge just like it on his face.

She missed him everyday. More than anything she regretted never telling him that she loved him. She loved him for staying with her. For never leaving her, like so many people had in her life. She regretted never thanking him for being the light that she needed when everything else was so dim.

How could she put these things into word to answer this person? She shook her head and looked back up smiling softly.

“I miss Prompto everyday, he meant more ta me than he’d ever know or believe.”

“I go to his grave everyday after work is finished. I bring him different wildflowers 'cause I know if I’d asked him he woulda said he didn’t know which he liked the best, that they were all beautiful. 'Cause that’s jus’ how he was. He found beauty in all sorts of things.” He’d seen the beauty in her even when she wasn’t sure she saw it too.

“Sometimes I leave a picture or two, from this ol’ camera that I got. They aren’t as good as the ones he took but I jus’ wanna let 'em see how things are.”

She’d see him again when it was her time. When it was their time, but until then she’d spend her days helping the people that needed it. She’d be sure to spread the love and laughter that he left her with.

What made you pick Cindy for a muse?

//Okay so honestly? I love her personality and the fact that she's a mechanic. Growing up my dad would restore cars and I always liked to help out, nothing crazy I don't know a whole bunch about cars lol. But I love that she's a female mechanic and that she's the one the guys rely on to help them with the Regalia. I really just kind of love her and despite what most people say about her outfit I feel like, She lives in a desert and if she comfy then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ you go GURL. All in all I think she's a force to be reckoned with. She's beauty, she's grace, she'll make sure to have all your tires replaced.//

At the small smile that he gives her, her heart rises just a tiny bit, she was happy to see that even though she was sure he had to be upset about this outcome in the first place. She was proud of him anyways, he came back and that was all that mattered.

"Alright, I'll snip that part off jus' hol' still." She quickly snipped open the sleeve of the shirt and frowned at the wound. It looked extremely painful and she knew that cleaning it up wouldn't feel any better.

"Kay, now hun this is gonna sting a lil, if it's too much jus' let me know." She grabbed the cloth and dabbed some curative on it as she began to clean up the wound.

"So what happened out there? Ya know I almost want ta be able to go with ya on those hunts. I'm pretty dangerous with a wrench in my hands."

Cindy laughed, she knew Prompto didn't actually mean anything by his comment but she couldn't help herself but tease him just a little bit over it. She walked over and nudged him with her own shoulder with a smirk, "Sure."

As the others all took a taste test she took another sip of her own glass. She didn't mind it and she kind of felt the need of the alcohol to blur the edges of their night. No matter how much fun she was having there was the worry in the back of her mind regarding the absence of people.

At Gladio's assessment she joined in with the others and laughed, she laughed harder than she had in awhile and wiped some tears away from her eyes.

"Naw it really ain't that bad Glad. It's got a kick to it an' guarantee it'll have the effect we'll all lookin' for anyhow." She looked at their surroundings a bit and looked at the guys.

"Maybe we should keep pokin' 'round? We can bring our drinks along, maybe we'll find someone. Or maybe we'll find a karaoke machine. It'll be a win win type of situation." The blonde was getting curious and as the drink started to set in, tingling her lips and making her feel a little lighter she gained some more confidence in the matter at hand. There had to be someone somewhere right?

Maybe she should have listened to Gladios last comment about fake confidence getting you nowhere but she was positive her confidence was real and not just liquid courage.
