Chapter 20
Her hands feathered up into his thick, dark brown hair, pulling him in even deeper. As she shifted against him, he ached to be inside her, to be body against body, one unit moving together. It was then he could possess her, when he could claim her as belonging only to him.
Inching the black silk up her calf and thigh, he was mildly surprised that she didn't have panties on which gave him free access to her core. His fingers slipped easily through her folds. "You're so wet," he murmured into her neck.
"Because of you," she exhaled as she arched her head backwards.
Joie lifted her knee up against George's hip as his finger slid effortlessly into her. She gasped as his thumb found her tight bundle of nerves and circled around it. He continued to kiss her, tasting her neck and traveling down to the swell of her breasts over the lacey material.
"I think the nightgown is impeding my progress," he joked, his voice low and soft.
Joie laughed and together they pulled it up and over her head, George tossing it unceremoniously onto a chair. He walked her to the bed and they eased onto the mattress, their eyes never leaving the other's face.
"Are you comfortable?" he whispered, his lips adoring her beautiful, sleek neck.
Joie smiled and nodded, her eyes closed from the excitementshe felt. "Are you?"
"Absolutely," he teased as he took the tender skin of her breast into his mouth. As he nipped and sucked at her nipple, she felt it all the way down to her groin. Butterflies intensified inside her as his fingers worked their magic on her sex.
"I won't stop," he assured her. George turned his attention to her other breast and playfully teased her, his tongue circling her hard, sensitive nub.
He was an expert at knowing women's bodies, perfectly moving his body with hers, his fingers masterfully playing her. He knew exactly what to do when and for how long, depending on her reaction. George felt her muscles tighten beneath him and Joie's breathless, "George...George...I'm going to come. Don't stop."
"George," she called out as her body stiffened and stilled, then burst into a symphony of spasms. Joie grabbed onto his shoulders as her muscles clamped down on his fingers inside her. She writhed beneath him, riding her orgasm as George continued to stay with her until she released the arch in her back and fell back down on the bed.
It took a minute to regain her breath. George lay on top of her as she gently stroked his back, his face in the pillow next to her head. He lifted himself up on all fours over her and kissed her over and over until Joie became dizzy.
"Stay right there," Joie told him sweetly. She began to shimmy down underneath him until her mouth was lined up with his erection.
As she slid her mouth over his tip, George shifted his hips down onto her so she could take all of him. He bucked into her mouth as her hand cupped his balls and her fingers ran down the silky skin behind them. Joie heard him suck in a deep breath.
"Baby," he sighed. "It's so good. So good."
Their movements turned intense and driven. After bucking into her mouth until he couldn't take anymore, George withdrew from her mouth and began reaching for a condom in the nightstand, but Joie stopped him.
"I went on birth control pills. I wanted to surprise you. Now we can really feel each other."
George looked at her and smiled. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"A surprise...," she repeated.
"Happy fucking birthday to me then," he laughed, pausing at her entrance before entering her slowly, withdrawing and repeating the movements until he was deep inside her.
A low groan escaped his throat as he began pumping into her, Joie throwing her legs up and around him. They were both focused on the feelings coursing through their bodies, each one pleasuring the other. His thrusting became steady and increased in speed. He lay down low on her, his cock now rubbing against her clit and causing her to arch her back up to him.
"Baby," he murmured into her ear. "Come with me."
"I'm close...," she exhaled, her fingers pressed into his back. Her head began shifting from side to side as George continued to thrust into her. Again he felt her stiffen and still.
"George....," she called, pushing her hips up to him.
Suddenly, her breaths became quick and short as she came undone in a flurry of jerks and shudders. Feeling her muscles tighten around him, George's thrusting became irregular but deep. They were body to body as he gave a final push and arching his back, released his warmness inside her in a series of erratic bucks.
Both spent, George lay on top of her as they waited for their breathing to return to normal. Joie feathered her fingers across his back as he kissed her neck.
He lifted himself up on his arms to look at her. "You're beautiful," he said, kissing her tenderly.
"You're amazing," she answered, kissing him back.
As George rolled over onto his back, Joie nestled into the crook of his arm. Within minutes, they were both asleep.
The new movie was going to start filming in the Bahamas and they were hoping they would be able to stay under the radar in a different country. Joie and George, Paul and Jane took one plane out from Heathrow and Maureen and Ringo and John and Cyn took another. The rouse didn't work. The press greeted them at Port Nelson Airport, exceedingly proud of themselves for having figured it all out.
None of the Beatles or their entourage were pleased. They hoped to try to get some rest and relaxation on the beautiful beaches. Their bungalows were right along the beach, close to each other and Joie found out how insulated their lives really were. Besides Brian, Peter and Mal, they really only socialized with each other. And they didn't socialize all that much with Brian. He was their manager, and it stayed that way. Joie suddenly felt sorry for him, although she really hadn't seen him since the incident at the bar.
"George," Joie began one morning. "My visa is going to expire next month and unless I can give the British Empire a reason to let me stay, I'm going to end up back in Los Angeles."
"Well figure out something..." he said lazily, stretching out on the bed with one arm under his head. "I'll talk to Brian. Maybe we can continue to say you are our American Liaison...."
"But I haven't worked in weeks..." she said. "And I need to do something. I can't just be doing nothing. I need to work...or something."
"What do you want to do?" George looked at her. "I mean being a Beatle girlfriend is a bloody full time job. Avoiding the press, on call 24/7..."
"Well, what if I don't avoid the press?" Joie asked him slowly.
"What do you mean?"
"There's this magazine...'Miss'.... There's several others too. What if I would be a ghost liaison and write a column? Maybe the fans would accept me better if it seemed like I was a Beatles' fan like they are?" she began. "I won't have to be such a big mystery. Maybe some fans would identify with me rather than try to rip my arms off...."
"You've got an idea there." George told her smiling. "I ghosted a column a couple of years ago."
"But I'd really like to write it."
"You'd have to run it through Brian and Derek. You have to know what you can say and what you can't."
"I know I'd have to be careful," she replied. "Well....what do you think?"
"I think you should come back to bed so we can discuss it....later."
Laying in George's arms, she heard the sound of the ocean outside their bungalow. She'd never been so relaxed or felt so safe. He was so easy to talk to and they would talk for hours at a stretch. He told her all about growing up and just being fascinated by music and the guitar. He told her about going to Germany and meeting Astrid and Klaus....and about Stuart. He promised to take her to meet Astrid one day.
"You'd get along famously," he told her. "Then again, I totally believe you'd get along with anyone...'
"Except Brian. My American charm didn't work on him one damn bit."
"That really bothers you doesn't it?" he asked. "I do wish you'd let it go. I know it was quite an eye opener, but Brian is really pretty harmless in the big picture."
"I haven't seen him since the office that day....when you put your arm around me and took me home."
"I think things will be better next time you see him. Besides, I think he will like your idea about the magazine column."
"You think so?" she asked, looking up at him
George nodded.
George called Derek later that morning and explained Joie's idea. Derek loved it. Of course Joie could write it, but Derek would screen and edit it before it went over to "Miss" magazine. He knew the editor....a tough ol' broad named Gloria Stavers....and he was sure she'd go for it. Besides, it would be great publicity for the new movie. All about the filming of....whatever they were going to call it.....the new Beatles' movie.
Even Brian took to the idea. Anything for good publicity. And at least the American bird would be good for something.

Ideas of fatal character flaws? :3
Hi :)
Fatal character flaws
Aristotle calls this ‘Hamartia’ - a tragic flaw or error. It can be anything happening to good or bad characters, even otherwise good character traits and with good intentions that ultimately lead to the character’s demise. They are often traits that don’t neccessarily lead to someone’s downfall, but can if they’re done to an extreme. So think of these otherwise normal ‘flaws’ as extremes.
ignorance - not seeking helpful knowledge
selfishness - not thinking about others
curiosity - getting involved in things they shouldn’t get involved in
impetuousness - being too passionate/ not thinking before acting
pride - not giving in/ not taking help from others
hubris - exaggerated opinion of oneself/ thinking nothing can get to them
lack of self-control - can’t help/stop themself
indecisiveness* - not being able to make decisions
confirmation bias - only taking in information that supports one’s own belief
arrogance -  thinking they are superior
Have fun!
- Jana
*Interesting example: Chidi from The Good Place. A morally great character who is so extreme in always trying to make the right choice and therefore not being able to make a decision until it is proven to be right, it basically lands him in hell.

Jeff walks into a bar and sees his friend Johnny slumped over the bar. He walks over and asks Johnny what’s wrong.
“Well,” replies Johnny, “you know that beautiful girl at work that I wanted to ask out, but I got an erection every time I saw her?”
“Yes,” replies Jeff with a laugh.
“Well,” says Johnny, straightening up, “I finally plucked up the courage to ask her out, and she agreed.”
“That’s great!” says Jeff, “When are you going out?”
“I went to meet her this evening,” continues Johnny, “but I was worried I’d get an erection again. So I got some duct tape and taped my p-nis to my leg, so if I did, it wouldn’t show.”
“Sensible” says Jeff.
“So I get to her door,” says Johnny, “and I rang her doorbell. She answered it in the sheerest, tiniest dress you ever saw.”
“And what happened then?”
(Johnny slumps back over the bar again.)
“I kicked her in the face.”

So I had my laces repeatedly undone by an oversized pigeon today.
While I was retying one shoe, they undid the other. And then proceeded to jump onto the bench to untie the ones I was retying.

“As a group, we were united. That's the only thing that can be said about us: we were really close-knit friends. We could argue a lot among ourselves, but we were very, very close to each other, and in the company of other people or in other situations we always stuck together.”
– George Harrison

public libraries are so sick. there are five books I want to read and they're all relatively new so they're only available in hardback which is so expensive but it just cost me $0 to place holds on them. five books for zero dollars. it requires nothing but clicking a button and then going to the library to pick them up when they're ready. zero dollars. that's crazy
