The bell rang out in the mostly empty store. A soft chime alerting of someone coming or going from the freshly opened shop. Behind a small counter sat an oversized man, the trinkets that filled the shop and lined the edges of the counter assisted in painting the scene with a touch more hilarity. The man looked up at the late coming customer over dirty glasses- his eyes, a warm shade of brown, lingered only a brief moment on the stranger before returning to the small item he was carving away at.
The door hung open just long enough for the awoken woman to slip inside. The event lasted just long enough to let whispers of snow whirl into the shop and dust the wooden floors- just long enough so that tendrils of frigid air could ever so briefly wrap around the shop keep pausing his movements- just long enough that the silence was not as easily shattered as the door latched shut sending out another warm jingle.
The pair looked at each other for a moment as the second chime faded into silence. The awoken moved across the room deftly- precisely- determined. Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun, strands of her purple-blue mane jut out, partially from the rush at which she had pulled it up and partially from the blizzard that was currently devouring the city. The bun, which gave the appearance it would soon fall apart, was shakily held together by a thin piece of flat metal.
A white cloak hugged her neck and draped itself to the floor, it was slightly to long however and dragged slightly behind her, the bottom stained with dirt and now damp from the snowy sidewalks. The cloak mostly concealed her personal fashion choices leave much to be guessed about her status.
In a few steps she was standing in front of the man.
“Welcome in friend” the woodcarver greeted his customer as he continued working. “It is a rather cold night to be visiting without a hat and scarf, perhaps you should visit the shop next door? The old lady and her daughter there would be happy to find you something more weather appropriate” he sat the small figurine he had been working on down to gesture to in the direction of the shop.
“I’ve come for a beverage you specialize in. I was out with a friend and the shop where we got a snack was serving it- Egg Nogg they called it.” she said dropping a bag of glimmer on the counter from within her cloak. “The said you were the only one in the city who was supplying it.”
The bag of glimmer reflected the light and the man looked at it trying to hide the shock from the small fortune the other had dropped on his table. After clearing his throat he shook his head, spikes of black hair falling over his forehead from the movement. “I’d like to help you but I don’t keep any on hand, it isn’t easy for me to store.”
“Then tell me a day and time to be here and I’ll pick it up” the awoken said leaning forward over the counter. “Please? It was so good!” She cupped her face and closed her eyes. “I really want to share it with-“ she cut herself off and returned to her more serious demeanor “I’m willing to pay more if that isn’t enough.”
— — —
“Sybll, what are you doing out here come in before you catch a chill” the shop owner said as he held the door open for the awoken who was standing on the street looking through the shop window at the display that had Been set up.
“Thanks Cole” the awoken replied as she was broken out of her trance. The night sky was clear but the temperature had dropped fast causing the edges of the shop’s windows to ice over. The beauty of it added the scene Cole had set up on display.
The door shut behind the pair and Cole moved to the back room as Sybll looked around the shop to take note of changes that had occurred over the year. Her fingers traced over some of the small wooden figures that were hanging up near the counter. “Are these new?” She called out as she picked one up to look closer at it.
The small wooden figure had been painted and like the others around it was unique in that a loop of twine had been attached to the head of it. The one Sybll had grabbed looked to be in a white lab coat. Others were carved and painted in various other professions Sybll knew of from her short trips down from the tower.
“This year, yes. I figured people might buy them as gifts to hang on their trees.” Cole said as he emerged with box. It clinked as he sat it down. “I made 4 gallons this year for you.” He said with a warm smile. “And Olivia wanted to give you something this year” he held up a small package that had been wrapped in paper and tied with yarn. “Hope it keeps you warm”
— — —
A small sit down area had been added Where Olivia and Sybll sat catching up on the year past. Olivia’s hands had been busy at work adding yet another patch to the hat she had made the strange woman years prior.
“I can make you a new one” Olivia said as she looked at the awoken through one of the new holes.
“I could never ask that of you, plus that hat has kept me warm for countless years. It even has the store logo from before you became Mr. & Mrs. Nichols” Sybll said sipping at her Egg Nogg.
“It really won’t be a bother I’m going to have a lot of time on my hands”. Olivia gave a warm smile and touched her abdomen winking at Sybll.
A pang of grief washed over the Awoken but it was short lived. Clanking and popping of wood on wood filled the shop breaking the peaceful exchange.
“Mother f-“ Cole started but silenced himself looking at the broken jars of Egg Nogg that now painted the floor.
“Looks like I will be back for a visit sooner than normal” Sybll laughed out as she moved to help clean the mess.
— — —
“Kid number three? Seems to bold of an adventure for me” Sybll said as she played peek-ah-boo with the current youngest of the Nichols family over their now empty dinner plates. “But congratulations!” She quickly tried to recover. “How old are you now Hayles?” She asked the oldest child of the two shop keepers.
“I’m this many” the young Nichols said holding up three fingers.
“Cole, Olivia, Haylee, Micah… I can’t wait to hear about the adventures of your new family member.” Sybll raised her glass smiling as she looked over the family.
— — —
“Steph, where’s your dad I thought your winter break was starting next week” Sybll said as she hugged the youngest of the three Nichols children.
Steph hugged the family stranger back, a bit tighter this year compared to the last. “Dad.. Dad is at home” the answer was unusually soft compared to what Sybll had come to know. “I took my finals early to be home with everyone.”
“I see, perhaps it would be best if you let your mom know I need my hat patched up. Maybe I can do a house call.
— — —
Sybll sat in the back of the church as the priest spoke.
“Olivia was crafty with her hands…” he said.
Sybll gripped the hat tightly, it had been the first of many Olivia had come to make her but for Sybll it had also become more. The first gift she had received after becoming a guardian, a symbol of what she was protecting, a grounding wire to why she couldn’t let the darkness swallow her and the city.
“Christmas was always Grandma’s favorite time of year so it was fitting for her to give us this last one.” Said one of Hayle’s eldest sons. He was now in his 20s by Syblls math.
“When dad died last year I thought I had stopped breathing and I would never start again, but mom said something that helped me take a breath.” Micah had started his story, one Sybll didn’t care to relive at the moment.
She stood quietly and exited the church unnoticed. In a few brief thoughts she was outside the shop where this journey had begun.
“Analysis complete for Olivia Nichols” Veles said materializing. Normally Sybll would have cared but all she felt was numb. “Cause of death: Natural, old age. Age at time of death: 87 years old.”
— — —
The shop no longer sold carvings of wood, nor hand made winter items. It was instead filled with books of all sorts. Sybll sat in a corner her foot tapping gently against the box where her Egg Nogg was stored as she read.
“Sybll, I hate to ask, can you watch Cole?” The woman asked. Sybll looked up at a descendent of the original shop owner. At some point Sybll had lost full count of how many generations had come and gone. Despite that each year, no matter which family member was owning or running the shop they always had a batch of Egg Nogg ready for their family’s immortal visitor.
“I think Kami is a better fit.” She kicked the shin of the warlock she had brought with her who was buried in a book. “But it isn’t a problem Mei, I’ll be here until you or Cassidy get back”

Vapor danced into the cold air as the engine of the sparrow cut off. The rider, a Titan Exo, dismounted after putting some glimmer in a newly installed parking meter. Several other sparrows were parked in their own spots. A few meters blinked red alerting the local law enforcement of violations. The Titan had never been in this part of the city… nor any part that he could recall…but his friends at the tower had warned him of some of the odd rules the city folk had. Things like keeping his ghost hidden, not wearing his mark, making sure not to summon his sparrow or ship. He was even told that in most areas it was frowned upon to carry weapons.
The street glowed amber thanks in part to small snowbanks reflecting the dying street lamps. In spots along the sidewalk glossy sheen helped bask the area in the yellow-orange lighting. The day had been warm enough to help melt some of the snow and ice away but as the sun set and the temperature returned to the winter normal the melted snow had refroze.
Here there were no cabal, no fallen, no loud announcements about not tossing oneself over the tower railing. The familiar of the tower was instead replaced with alien scenes for the exo. A child holding an adults hand stoping at a window that had been decorated for the season. A pair of younger adults pressed together as they hurried along the sidewalk, one fussing at the other over being late. A solo adult with a communication device pressed to their cheek as they juggled a handful of bags and a couple of boxes.
As the exo walked along the unfamiliar scenes continued to play out- a family going into a busy restaurant, a couple discussing plans for the next ‘weekend’. He felt his cheeks flush with anxiety, a feeling he hadn’t had in some time, as he began to compare what he had worn to blend in with what they all wore. His street clothes had been borrowed off a few titans back in the tower lodging and he was starting to feel underdressed. While those he had seen were mostly bundled up to fend off the cold his keen eyes had caught glimpses of nice dresses, pressed slacks, ties, button downs, and he was pretty sure that an older gentleman at the store a block back had been wearing a suit.
In contrast Ardent-2 had scraped together an old t-shirt that had faded and had a few holes- from a moth or bullets, which he wasn’t sure. A leather jacket with a few patches on the elbows covers most of the imperfections in the t-shirt and helped give the exo a more confident look compared to his inner thoughts. The jeans he had borrowed were nearly perfect minus a few stains that he had been told had come from their owner working on a sparrow, and luckily a year ago the vanguard had issued standard boots to all the titans that he had slipped into.
Finally arriving at the address he’d been given the exo stood out front of the small store front. The window like many others had been decorated for the season. This one had colorful lights around the outside and it appeared as though someone had painted snowy hills and a small cottage on the glass. Ardent-2 observed the art for a moment longer before pulling the time keeping device out of his pocket.
As trained- He was right on time. The correspondence had indicated that they would meet outside of the small shop at exactly this time- Ardent-2 was the only one standing there however. He kicked at some ice on the sidewalk and waited. Perhaps the person he was meeting was more like a hunter when it came to time tables.
15 minutes passed and Ardent-2 could feel himself getting cold despite the jacket. He gave a final look around and let out a sigh turning back towards his sparrow. His proximity alert went off as he turned and nearly walked into another man. Unlike Ardent-2 this man was human. Also unlike Ardent-2 this man was dressed fairly well from what the exo could tell.
“Pardon me” the human said looking over Ardent-2 with a curious look. “Were you going to leave before we even met?” The human pulled out his device and showed a picture of Ardent-2 “this is you right?”
The exo was caught off guard. The app hadn’t done justice to the man before him. “That’s me” he finally said before nodding “I was, you were late and as I said I was already hesitant to come down here and meet you”
“Trust me, I’ll make it worth your while” the human laughed out as he moved towards the door of the small shop. He paused to hold the door open for the Exo before following him inside.
——
“So how was it?” The hunter asked as her Exo friend moved to sit down at the bar next to her.
“Uh.” He slipped the leather jacket off and hung it over the back of the chair. “Well he’s never been part of a fireteam- and he said he’s never been with an exo before” the exo leaned back and looked up at the ceiling.
“So did you kiss?!” The hunter squealed childishly as she leaned closer to the titan. “Did take you back to his ship or did you go back to yours and-“
“No- No” the titan was glad he had adjusted the color settings of his face prior to the date as he knew the question would have drawn color into his face and given away the lie.
“See isn’t dating fun” the hunter said. “As for the fireteam thing just invite him on patrol with us”
Ardent-2 leaned his head forward and cupped the warm beverage the barkeep had brought him. He looked into the liquid wondering just what he should do about the situation he had gotten into. He knew he wanted to see the man again and from the messages he’d already gotten he knew that the man wanted to see him. “I don’t think it will work out- he isn’t one to leave the city unprotected”
“Oh he’s like a loner warlock- kinda like Osiris. I get it.” Sybll stood, paid her tab, and gave the exo a kiss on the cheek. “Alright big guy gonna head out to Neptune, hear they are having a vex issue again.” She pulled on her helmet and activated the transmat system of her ship vanishing
“Yeah something like that.” The exo said staring into the drink. By exo standards he was young- only on his second reboot. But that came with a curse, one he had already been struggling with. What if they hit it off, what if they grow old together, what if he needs to be wiped before the other moved on. And then the was the guardian thing- though no rules specifically existed about guardians and non-guardians he knew the relationships were rife with conflict of their own.
The exo pulled the device out and his finger hung over the delete button for the conversation, the last line unopened by the titan but partially able to be read.
Had a great time let’s-

“Are you okay?”
The crackling of the small camp fire filled the void of silence as the question hung unanswered amongst the snow. In the distance hues of green danced across the night sky. Delicate ribbons occasionally formed to flicker before fading out.
A sword was pressed into the flames against a larger log. Slowly the wielder forced the log to roll exposing the burned side to the cold air. The exposed side rippled with shades of red as the cold leeched the heat from it.
Withdrawing the sword the titan held it the air away from the light. It hissed as snow blew against it turning to vapor from the heat. In the back ground the outline of his ship partially blocked the light of the half moon reflecting on the ice of the frozen lake.
The other guardian, a titan as well shivered slightly as he weighed the question. His eyes reflected the flickering of flames as they traced over the form of his companion who had asked the question.
The whispers of the fire were overwritten briefly by the snoring of the teams third member who had excused themselves to the small tent earlier.
“I can’t do this anymore” the exo finally answered.
The answer hung in the air like the question as the fire began to slowly burn itself out, edged on by an icy breeze.

Ardent-2 & Nova on the future
⚠️ Spoilers ⚠️
Tumblr media
A ring of light circled the small ghost as it flexed in and out adjusting to the new shell the titan had found for them.
“This feels a bit plain” Nova said after a moment. The ghost’s titan was laid out on the ground surrounded by old magazines that had been collected. A large sheet of paper laid in front of them. Gently the titan flipped through pages and every now and again ripped one out.
“The idea is to blend in while standing out… it’s called peacocking” the titan pointed at an article in the magazine. “You said you want Veles to notice you so maybe this new shell will do the trick” ripping another page out of the old magazine Ardent-2 added it to a pile of other photos.
“And what is it you are doing again” the ghost asked after expanding in anger but biting back the argument and instead changing the subject to the odd behavior of the titan.
“After the mask incident last week I went to Eris to talk and she said something about this being one of the methods her therapist recommended for trauma… it’s called a seeing sheet.” The titan sat up a bit and looked at the ghost. “ I’m supposed to take pictures from these old printings and cut them out. Then I stick them in this bigger paper and I hang it somewhere to remind me what I’m aiming for…”
“Isn’t that why you guardians have that Bray site where you press the little add button and things get added to a digital folder?” The ghost moved over to the computer and pulled the screen up navigating to the built in app. The message icon in the corner flashed as the ghost looked through what the titan had already added. “Are you planning a togetherness ceremony?” The ghost asked as the images were mostly stills of other events. Every few adds there would be some image of a dress or suit, or a food arrangement, a table setting, and even some rings”
“No, that’s just in case one day they ever do get to talking” the titan said standing up after a few moments. He moved to the screen and skimmed the messages deleting a few from a particular warlock.
One message caught his eye though and he quickly opened it.
Ardent-2,
Come see me when you can,
Crow
The message was short but had been sent recently. Ardent-2 waived his hand sending the screen away and set course for the helm. “Wonder what he could want with us”
———
The Helm looked the same as ever as Ardent-2 made his way to where he had been told crow was. The newer guardian rarely called on him so he figured it must be important.
Crow was standing in the hall where he normally stood, only Ardent was noticing some odd details. More books, more furniture… more stuff. ‘I wonder if they moved him into the hall’ the titan thought as he looked around.
“Guardian, thank you for joining me” Crow spoke softly and steadily as ever. “I hope I didn’t panic you with my message but glint insisted we see you in person to get a report on the headless ones.” Crow gestured to a small bench and indicted the titan to sit.
“Oh I’m not much of a researcher” The titan sat on the bench cautiously- Not putting all his weight on it. “And to be honest I’ve been out of sorts recently…” he looked over the other guardian a pang of guilt washing over him. Who was he to miss Amanda and pity himself when Amanda and Crow had- his thoughts were cut off.
“I understand. I know what it feels like to learn something shocking about yourself.” Crow offered the titan a smile and sat next to him. “When I found out I had caused, no had planned Caydes death…” Crow took a breath and then rested a hand in the titans back. “If you find you can’t keep looking back then I suggest you find something to look forward to.” He stood slowly and gave a nod to the titan before moving to a bookshelf to straighten a few of the books. “If you learn anything Glint would love to know… and here this was in Amanda’s things” Crow handed a photo of the titan and pilot working on his ship. The expo was covered in oil and Amanda was clearly laughing at him.
Ardent-2 took a moment to look over the photo before pocketing it. He then nodded at Crow as he stood. “I know it’s not my place but Amanda would give me a lashing if I didn’t say anything to ya while I was here… she’d be okay with you falling again. In fact, the Amanda I knew would be pretty upset with us both…” The titan didn’t hang about to talk more about the sensitive matter.
Crow waited till he was sure he was alone before opening the book where the photo had been inside there were a few other photos. The one in top now that of Amanda and a hunter who had taken over Caydes ship. The pair were working on the inside and it seemed like both were unaware of the photo being taken. He flipped the card over and traced the names with a finger.
Amanda & Ace, finally fixing Caydes comms
Crow closed the book and slid it back into its place. He hesitated a moment before pulling up his messages and entering the hunters information. He typed on word.
Ramen?
His finger hovered over the send button, his hand trembling slightly as he looked over the one word message. The words the titan had spoke rang true and Crow knew that like his dark past he had to move forward with this loss as well.
With a breath he pulled his hand back having sent the message before he could chicken out. Behind him the sound of sliding doors echoed down the hall. Soon the sound of Eris talking reached his ear.
“Don’t make me call yours”

Hunter: Sybll & Ghost: Veles
The green aura radiated over the team. Each felt the light and dark they had learned to cherish drain from them pulled into the crystal at their backs. Green walls suddenly materialized trapping the fireteam into n the room as outside the fallen ruble began to reconstruct itself. In a burst of nefarious hive energy the son of Oryx materialized sword held high. His eyes scanned over the six guardians before he brought his sword down dispelling the walls.
Sybll rolled into the hall the two teammates and herself suddenly bursting with solar radiance. “Grab the chalice I’ll take care of these corpses” she called over the comms as a grenade tossed from her hand leaving a burning sun where it landed roasting the hive in the area. “Veles, I need a summary of plans” she called tossing a dagger into the head of a witch just outside the door.
In the distance a pair of hive launched arc bombs at her as behind her Crota shot arc bombs from his outstretched hands. Each missed as the hunter rolled and sidestepped along the bridge.
“It appear we will need to bait out a sword bearer, my readings indicate we can use the blade to penetrate the shield allowing the team to inflict damage.” The ghost reported back on the open comm line.
The hive knights launched another rally at Sybll. The first shot was avoided with a jump and then the next with a second jump. “Oh fuc-“ the hunter said as she looked over her shoulder just in time to see her mistake as a rally of arc explosions collide with her back sending her flying into the tower with the boomers.
The pair closed in on her aiming their grenade launchers at her. Both began to glow in warning of a barrage about to begin. “Reports indicate if you don’t take action you will not survive” Veles chimed to the hunter.
With a scream Sybll mustered her light and shot out a barrage of fiery blades roasting the knights out of this plane of existence. She remained kneeled on the ground for a moment trembling from the exertion. “I can do this” she groaned through gritted teeth pulling herself up. “I just need to be faster” she told her self using the wall to support her body.
“A blade has just arrived it seems like killing the knights worked like before.” One of her team called as she took another step. Her foot left a burning mark. The next step it was lesser but still burning.
“Faster” she whispered as she pushed herself to the edge of the tower. As she reached the edge and moved to jump back into the fray the sound of doors opening rang out behind her. She turned as two more knights emerged and let loose a flurry of arc. The explosions sent her flying back to land on the bridge under her and knocked the air from her lungs.
“You are in a critical state” Veles said sounding panicked. The hunter laid there looking up at the knights they now aimed down at her.
“Faster” she whispered reaching up at the knights and making a fist. “Faster” she said again as she leaned up. “Faster!” She screamed as the knights launched another attack.
The arc bombs lanes where Sybll had been laying only Sybll was suddenly in the air above the lights. “Faster, Faster, Faster” she chanted as the solar radiance faded from her and was replaced with arcs of lighting. “I’m not going to let the like of you beat me” she screeched as she descended on the pair of knights and lashed out with her fists. The blow caused one of the knights to stumble back suddenly and begin to tremble as arc energy exploded from its body killing it and its comrade.
“It worked his shielding is down” a teammate announced.
Sybll turned and thrust her hand in the direction of Crota her arc staff materializing in air moments before lodging into the hives chest. “Burn” she whispered as she lunged forward pulling out her sword. The arc staff sparked and burned away pieces of the Hive as small bolts chained from it to the enemy. “Burn in hell” she screamed as she lunged down atop the hive bring her sword squarely down on his crown shaped head. The added charge sent a bolt of lightning down upon the pair.
In the burst of energy Sybll held her sword in one hand and a secound arc staff appeared in her hand. She lunged it into the ground above the arena a storm was suddenly raging as lighting began to continually strike the second staff before chaining into the second directly into the hive who had dared call himself a god.

Ardent-2, of desire and shame
Could be explicit to some
The window of the ship was coated with a layer of condensation. In spots streaks were clear from where to much had built up and the water had chased gravity to the lip. Most of the systems inside were offline, the cockpit only slightly illuminated by stand-by systems which flashed here and there in a mostly rhythmic pattern. In near unison a creaking of springs matched beat and if one were to be looking close enough from outside the frosty glass the outline of two bodies could be seen.
A light snow had started since the ship landed in the isolated area. The crystalline water had at first melted and then refrozen away from the warmer parts of the ship. The snow, having been going on long enough, began to act as a natural camouflage for the guardians transport. Meters away sat another ship, it was also slowly succumbing to the snow. The first ship was significantly colder and was taking on its blanket at a much quicker rate.
“Please” whimpered the exo guardian. Despite not needing air the word was also breathy as if the exertions were causing him to be short of breath. His hands grasped the other exos’ hips and he pushed his head back letting out a low growl. “Fuck..” he hissed out. Each sound caused by the skillful movements of his partner. The light from the various instruments cast highlights and shadows over the exo he’d been seeing off and on for the past year. Each glance at the others face caused Ardent-2 a confusing flood of hot burning desire and ice-cold shame.
The weight of the pair earned a final protest from the chair they had commandeered for their illicit act. In one final call the seat dislodged sending both exos backward into the floor. For a brief moment the pair locked eyes. “Nova will order me a new one” the exo said rolling the pair so he was pinning his lover who had moments before been on top.
The pair continued both giving their share of pleasured outbursts. From time to time they would roll in attempt to be the dominant force in the act. Each would give for a brief period before wanting to again be in control. For Ardent-2 it was more about being able to look over his lover while he h goof the impression it was something more deep rooted for the other eco they had been unable to discuss. When all was said and done they laid side by side spooning, an agreement that had been made moons ago after one particularly bad meet.
“You could stay” Ardent-2 finally whispered into the others back his lips tracing along the others spine as he spoke. “Out here no one would ever know you were with me” he continued as his fingers gently traced randomized shapes over the others chest. For a moment he thought the other would comply and they could have their first true night together.
But it wasn’t so. The other pulled away and looked coldly over Ardent-2. The figure grabbed a pile of clothing before vanishing. Ardent-2 let out a sigh and laid on the floor staring up at the ceiling. The sound of a ship taking off sent vibrations through Ardent-2’s own ship and sent a small avalanche of snow down the windshield. After a moment he sat up and began to get dressed.
A sock hung over the nav screen, another dangled off one of the thruster switches. His boxers lay discarded by the cockpit door, his pants further along. His undershirt had been tossed over a light in the med bay where a number of surgical instruments had been swept to the floor. The dress shirt he had been wearing was in the kitchen, a sleeve wet from landing in the sink. As he made his way to the cargo bay he found his hat laying on its side. Finally by the door where his partner had met him his mark waited, it had been more carefully taken off of him and set on a crate in the bay.
Ardent-2, now fully dressed minus his dress shirt, secured the cargo bay and moved back to the kitchen. There was little stocked as he had no need to eat and rarely had guests. What he did have though was some fresh milk and chocolate from the farm. Pulling out a pan he got to work as he let his advanced mind do what it did best. While waiting he shot off a quick message.
Hot chocolate & Sweets- Coordinates enclosed.
Ardent-2
Sitting in his study, which had once been crews quarters when ships needed multiple crew, the exo sipped his hot chocolate. A cup sat across the desk empty, thought a pot of the warm refreshing drink sat by. Along with the crafted beverage several cookies sat out on a plate. He let out a small sigh after one long sip. “Nova our friend should be here soon, I suspect I won’t be available for the normal notice”
The ghost fluttered into the room and briefly scanned the cookies. “I’ll be sure to hail our friend.” The ghost hesitated as the subject was the only thing him and his guardian had ever argued about. “In the future I think it would be best if you met on his ship for your future engagements.” Nova’s shell furrowed. “And I only say this because I care but neither of you recall why you were previously together and your marriage is no longer valid… I checked” Nova bobbed out of the room with out waiting for a reply.
After ordering a new chair and cleaning up a few items that his guardian and the other guardian had left Nova sent his own message.
He went and saw that guy again, you should probably stop and get some ice cream

Titan: Ardent-2 & Ghost: Nova
Warlock: Kuraokami & Ghost: Khione
Hunter: Sybll & Ghost: Veles
The warlocks cheeks were flushed. His helmet sat on the bar next to a pair of empty shit glasses the bar keep had yet to collect. “C’mon guys thisss isn’t fair” he slurred as he leaned forward the full shot in his hand trembling dangerously. Off in the corner three ghosts bobbed and circled each other sharing tales of how they had saved their guardian this way and that.
The exo titan looked over the warlock and hunter that accompanied him and shook his head. “You knew going in that alcohol has little influence on my program, and her well…”
The hunter slammed back another shot n the process knocking over the stack of 5 shot glasses that she had been turning into a pyramid. 3 rolled around the bar in a circle before their momentum reversed and they circled back. One remained up, to be used to rebuild the stack. The final rolled off the bar, bouncing once, twice, and shattering on the third.
“PARTY FOUL!” The hunter called “another round!” The barkeep looked over the group and shook their head before continuing to serve the more solemn guardians that were squeezed into the bar.
In the background music began to build across the speakers. A bar back moved to a dial and adjusted the lights, in the back of the bar lights flicked on highlighting the stage where a DJ was set up. As the music built various ghost moved into the air and began to flash, twirl, and fade in/out of the area as they danced in their own way to the music. Some guardians moved of their own will to the dance floor while others were coaxed by their fireteam or their own ghost.
The warlock shot up off the bar as the song continued- the DJ came across the speakers “and this is a long lost song recently pulled from the archives of an old Ishtar facility” the beat faded in as the song began in full-
“Every time we touch I get this feeling”
The warlock stood shakily and grabbed his helmet putting it on snuggly. The sight made the hunter jump to her feet. “Oh the doctor is serious now!”
