This!! Heaven help me I can't find the picture but a fan from the 70's gave him a piece of wood carved art as a gift and Elvis just looked so happy!! I'm sure he always appreciated every gift he received (I mean we know this man was a hoarder who kept everything he got lol) but I'm sure he loved a handmade item even more just because of the effort and thought that went into it. ❤️

Personally, when I visited Graceland this past March, I decided to draw him something (specially for him) and framed it to leave at his grave. I'm not 100% happy with how it turned out but I know that Elvis would have loved it regardless. 🥰

50 Years Ago

Las Vegas, August 1, 1972 - Elvis with Colonel Parker on the day Elvis received an award for the 1972 LP As Recorded at Madison Square Garden.  Rock critic Dave Marsh delivered one of the most damning assessments of Colonel Parker when he said, “Parker was the most overrated person in the history of show-business.  The Colonel went to his grave believing he had pulled off some carny trick, when what he had actually done was sell genius short for 23 years.”
