I think I can count the number of times Spock deliberately touches someone/allows himself to be touched on purpose on only my hands (barring having to be violent on occasion and T’Pring, even then he’s hella robotic with her):

Hitting the dirt with Pike during the ion storm

Mind meld with La’an

Helping Angel with their necklace

Adultery ruse with Chapel

Letting Chapel hug him after Hemmer’s funeral

Mind meld with Pike (alt timeline)

That is literally only six times, barely more than one hand ✋🏻 ☝🏻 only one hand if you don’t count the meld with Pike in the Balance of Timeline!

Then you look at how often Jim & Spock touch?? Where normally Spock makes a point to avoid physical touch whenever possible???

Today marks one whole month since I watched the Violetta season 1 finale, aka the day my brain chemistry was irrevocably altered. Since then, I have watched (exactly) 60 more episodes of Violetta, and written over 15,000 words of fiction for the fandom. This semester has been difficult in a way that I can’t place, but I started to feel like I was getting myself back as I plunged into this story so fully. I’m unhinged, but I’m happy. I think I’ll rewatch the finale today as a celebration. Thanks to everyone who has made this such a delight, and I hope you enjoyed watching me trip and fall into this obsession.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)
