Sofia turned back from the fireplace and smiled at her one and only sister. It was true that they had quite the number of differences indeed. Sofia was rather prone to… flights of violent fancy, let’s say. And paranoia. And possessiveness. But that’s neither here nor there. “I’m going back to Gotham, Holly, I’m going to restore the family name.” She said it as if that was all the explanation required.
Holly felt a myriad of emotions at Sofia’s declaration. She was surprised, she was concerned, annoyed, angry and offended for the most part. And with each emotion came a question, some that she voiced, some that she thought to keep to herself for now. “Has daddy invited you back?” she started with. “As far as I know, I’m the one next in line to keep the family name in prestige, which it currently is because of daddy, of course. So, excuse me if this little declaration of yours has me surprised.” she said.

Holly’s eyes widened as she looked up at him. “Lex...are you sure?” she asked, almost breathless as she watched him nervously. She was completely taken aback by this. She wasn’t expecting it at all, he didn’t give off any signals. She couldn’t believe it and she quickly wanted to rehearse just how she was going to say her answer.

“It happened once before.” she said as she looked up at him. If things worked out and Lex was going to become President, a goal she had been on his side for years. They had gone from living in Gotham to be near her father, and also living in Metropolis for Lex’s own business dealings. Now they would have to live far from both of those places. There was a small part of her that didn’t want to be so far away from her family and her normal setting, especially since her own business was in Gotham, but she knew how much this meant to Lex. And for him, she would do anything. Even if it meant a very complicated commute when she was needed.
“You wanna go for a walk right now while we’re waiting on this huge life-changing thing?” she asked, looking at him as if he had grown an extra head.

Lex chortles, stretching his legs and moving from his spot on the love seat. “You say that as though it’ll make election results be decided faster.” It’s his first bid for the Presidency and, although he would never admit it to anyone else, concerns and worries abounded and churned within his heart and mind. The morning sun streams into the living room of the Luthor mansion, and Lex holds out a hand for his love to take. “Shall we go for a walk?”
