Hi! I’m... Scam Likely.
Or rather, I’m the guy that played him. This isn’t a part of the ARG, sorry if this is disappointing but I wanted to tell everyone what this whole thing was. My name is Jeremy, I’m 19 and Scam Likely kept me alive for half a year of my life. I created Scam Likely along with my girlfriend and boyfriend at the time (now my wife and husband) as a silly joke that was partially a part of our dnd universe. He was just this ominous force that said scary things sometimes and we all loved him. Eventually, we made this blog to share him with the world. I ran the blog, and after @turing-tested made a small post about it, it blew up. People loved Scam! I decided to give him a real story. The details of that story are a little fuzzy now, admittedly, but if you want to ask me questions about him feel free! I have been continuously blown away by how much people love him, and I am dreadfully sorry I have to break the illusion and cannot continue him the way he deserves. Every piece of fanart is treasured and kept in my personal folders. Thank you all so so so much! It was this support and fun interaction that kept my spirits up while transitioning away from my abusive father. To everyone who interacted, watched and followed this small ARG, thank you!! Once again, I hope you aren’t too sad with this out of character post, but I thought he deserved some closure!! Scam, Mel, the cohosts and all the planned and never seen characters wish you all a big thank you, as well!! And finally- Goodbye, I’m Scam Likely! :)

aside from the reveal and letting us ask questions, did you have any kind of ending or solution in mind for scam? or did you prefer to make things up as you went?
I am a sucker with a big heart, so Scam was going to have a happy ending, or at the very least... a hopeful one.I intended for him to finally realize who he was and come to his senses, gaining his memories of who he was before all of this.He was going to come to terms with his daughter’s death, which was the event that led him to the cohosts initially.The Broken Cohost was going to stage an escape for him, Lifeli, and Diane, and eventually it would succeed, but not without the death of The Broken Cohost and the almost death of DianeIn the end though, Scam and Lifeli would escape with Diane, and I even intended for a romance between the two of them. Scam would live out the rest of his days with his boyfriend and the dog that he considers as close as his daughter and they would find a way to stay mostly hidden from the rest of the world.

what's your new project about?? :0
It’s meant to be a game, but Idk if I’ll ever be able to truly make it into one!!But it’s called “Person Reboot”it’s a game in which you, the protagonist, are sent to a facility called the Emotional Correctional Program, where people are put in order to assess their personality traitsonce the faculty (composed of Sir Smile, Nurse Mask and Deputy Rolleye) has assessed you, they pick one of your personality traits and decide that it’s your most prominent, in which you then undergo a procedure to erase any hint of any other emotion besides the one they decide suits you besthere’s a sneak peak at some sprites;

did you ever have any funny moments during the ARG watching people's reactions or watching them try to solve the codes/puzzles?
Oh plenty! Mostly, though, I found it entirely intoxicating to watch. It was so inspiring and uplifting to see that people cared about Scam, especially since I’ve never felt very recognized for any of my creative medias up until him.People were also very smart! Y’all figured out a lot of things way faster than I could have possibly imagined.All of the codes were admittedly pretty easy ones, I’m no coding expert, but it was fun to put together nontheless

Hi! It’s me, Jeremy!
Fun facts!! Scam Likely was a pansexual/panromantic nonbinary entity, though he went by he/him. The Co-hosts were a hivemind! And they were also a part of an organization designed to help fellas down on their luck forget about their troubles and never have to feel bad again. They were meant to be a demon from a different plane come to reap souls. Mel N. Choly was a lesbian!  There were 4 other characters planned to be introduced; Diane (The dog was going to gain sentience of sorts), and she would have spoken like this: “heLLO, i am DIaNe. it IS vErY NIce To MeaT you :P” Lifeli Trubbles, who was going to be a very sad fellow who spoke like this: “Oh....hello...it’s....me.......Lifeli...... :,<” The Broken Co-Host, who was going to be a cohost that broke from the hivemind that spoke only in code and wanted to help Scam and the others escape and finally, Mister Boss, who was the head of the organization and a seperate entity altogether. He was going to switch the way he talked depending on who he was talking about. He would talk like Scam when speaking of him, etc. etc. He was the big bad and he was intended to be entirely hateable. I remember I wanted to imply he looked like nothing but a cloud of smoke and underneath was an ever-changing form.

Hi! It’s Jeremy!
If you happen to want to follow me somewhere that isn’t here/see what other projects I have brewing, check me out @0verbyte. I actually have a game idea that I intend to start working on that has themes lightly inspired by what I did here at Scam Likely, but it wasn’t much admittedly! It’s sort of a Scam Likely Reboot of sorts, but again it isn’t really all that similar.

did you have an actual design for scam likely or was he entirely up to interpretation to the players?
He was entirely up to interpretation! Though, from my own interpretation, I always intended to draw him as this sort of ever-changing mass of flesh and mouths with a very shotty paper mask on it. Sometimes it could appear more humanoid, sometimes it was entirely beast.As for Mel, @lesbinchan really nailed it with how I personally saw her, but she too was also always up for interpretation!

  Hi! I’m... Scam Likely.
I’m glad to hear that this positively impacted you!! I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that it’s ok for you to come out and talk about it, it’s been an interesting journey
Thank you so much! I feel bad I cannot continue him, but I felt he at least deserved a little bit of an ending, even if it is just me telling all of you what he meant to me <3
