an old picture, one of the first things i ever drew with sai--it’s everyone’s favorite gal antoinette from yume miru kusuri (again), the character to draw if you ever get the urge to gift me artwork because i’m such an amazing guy

there was one of those times recently where i wanted to fap to her and i instead started to think about a sad story and didn’t feel the urge anymore

i know you wanted to know about that story!

one day i’ll build my empire of nanjou kyouka artwork, getting even the super professional artists to draw her

now i can concentrate on drawing again since the job hunt has come to a sort-of-close, instead of getting distracted by the worry of not being able to pay my rent and trying to find things to sell besides my sexy body

here is a sample of a tentatively titled “messy work” which is basically a really informal draw and color job

as it’s really loose and informal, it’s also a little bit more fun and takes a lot less time than drawing something with a bit more care (and some people may say it looks better than the pictures i put more effort into :S )

these are also cheaper for commissions

edit: one more thing, i find it hilarious that my minute level doodles get more interest than anything i do work hard on

the rates, now as of march 23, 2015, as follows:

basic charges are what you’ll be charged for a basic job, ie: one character, no background

for additional characters, these are prices PER additional character given the amount of body of them to be drawn--keep in mind that additional characters only qualify if they are interacting in some way so people don’t try to commission two separate characters for a lower price. also, these additional charges are ON TOP of the basic charges; for example, a lineart of one character at bust level is 5.00, and with a background (+6.00) and a couple additional characters (3.00 times 2 = +6.00) = 5 + 6 + 6 = 17 dollars total

for each job that is 30 dollars or more, you may do a proportional payment of 70% after the rough sketch has been accepted by you, and 30% after the final piece is complete. however, jobs of less than 30 dollars, full payment is expected after the rough draft. thanks

the messy color category might seem a bit confusing, so give me a bit of time to provide a sample later on.

planning to reopen commissions this week

interesting first time on commissions! i actually feel like i’ve already drawn better works on average than my usual, or at least better than the samples i showed, which i guess is false advertising in the favorable direction...? (maybe i’m wrong)

i had a few people telling me i did this for too cheap afterall, i guess they’re right...? at least as far as hours are concerned. i was really just going by what i thought of my skill level.

even though i do have a few commissions left open, thankfully not so ornate, i will reopen commissions this week with normal pricing instead of the introductory discount pricing i had set earlier. 

probably won’t include a background option just yet, but once i get more comfortable with them, i’ll start including an option. also, there’ll be a pricing set for adding extra characters, and something of “up to and no more than xx dollars extra” for intricate costumes decided at my own discretion (or the costumes will be simplified instead, the customer can decide whether or not to have something simplified). not only that, but having in mind pricing options for full body vs bust/thigh-on-up/face-only type drawing prices. this was because i somehow didn’t think to include something about this the first time so for the previous commissions, everything was a ratio of a no-larger-than-(roughly)-1500-pixels to either direction, which meant full body maybe costed detail. i might still keep this as an option if someone wants a cheap full body pic. this is actually stuff i’m saying for myself so i don’t forget.

what may replace simple color works in the 10 dollar range is a thing i want to call “messy works” for now, where i’m way less careful about the lining and coloring--not quite gesture, but not quite polished, and not quite a rough sketch (since it’ll be in color anyway). i’ll have an example done by myself in a little while
