A painting series by Oleg Kharch will be presented in the Kmytiv Museum of Fine Arts named after Buhanchuk (next is the Kmytiv Art Museum).

It should be noted that "Language Parallelisms" offers the viewer a naive fantasy and a study of the Ukrainian linguistic alphabet. The artist offers to stop the rush of time and admire our linguistic heritage. To what extent this is a successful experiment, we do not know for sure, because we are already used to the fact that the artist Oleg Kharch is always sharply critical and extremely ironic in his artistic visions. And this series of the artist, no, it is not sweet and not gross - it is not sour in taste, - yes, there is warm humor and something strange, imbued everywhere in images and characters. There is a veiled familiar collage, because this is Oleg Kharch's leading technique. But today his work is interesting to look at and think about, and you can discern meaning at a different (calm) pace.

Language is also a means for human journeys. In ancient times, traders from the East traveled to nearby Europeans. A silent boat - a snail has overcome these linguistic oceans and seas to get the meanings of words. And the Ukrainian land is one of such crossroads. So it was and so it will be.

Contemplation and reasoning, possibly fun and with different pace of recognition of the meaning of the existence of Humanity.

As the artist himself says, his "Language Parallelisms" already have their own artistic history, although as a finished painting they will only now be presented in Ukraine and directly in the Kmytiv Museum.

In 2016, Oleg Kharch collaborated with the outstanding conceptual artist Vyacheslav Akhunov. It was Mr. Vyacheslav who suggested creating pictorial parts for several digital prints for presentation at the 7th Tashkent Biennale of Contemporary Art.

Research Project of Ukrainian-Turkic linguistic and cultural contacts.

East-West communication in various spheres of human life has been going on since ancient times. If you look closely, you can obviously see the presence of a huge layer of borrowings in the Ukrainian language, which are called Turkism’s, which have spread and have long been firmly rooted, which do not cause any rejection at all. No less interesting and intensive is the synthesis and interpenetration of various eastern elements in various spheres of expression of Ukrainian visuality. Contemporary Ukrainian art finds similarity or identity, some parallel reflections in works that are sometimes completely different, sometimes with opposite approaches. Such an interesting topic cannot be limited by attention.

Maidan, Berkut, Bazar, Kurin, Tyutyun, Husak, Kava, Halva, Kovbasa, Sarai, Kabak, Yar, Chichkan and many other Turkism’s. All these linguistic borrowings have long settled both in our everyday life before, and are striking with their own historical monumentality now. They give and will continue to give creative people food for thought in artistic and creative research. And it seems that each of us, who is not just interested, but is a real researcher of this topic, has found his personal key for further decoding of those huge layers of information carriers from the past, quotes from which permeate the current Ukrainian cultural and artistic tradition.

Nowadays, it is very important for an artist to untangle the lines, symbols and images of his own self-identification. Next, the root issues at the level of national identification should be reviewed. And finally, he will try to gain the ability to carefully look at the global nature of issues in his personal creativity. Methodologically, it can be tried in different ways. Probably, each artist intersects in time, or as in most cases coexists in their parallel inner worlds of creativity. Each of them has the widest opportunities to resort to techniques of synthesis, experimentation, replicas from the past, or even shock at the border of something personally permitted with general impermissibility. The discursiveness of the topic, combined with its outer shell of incompatibility, suddenly aims to unite the worldview of the individual - the viewer and the author, the everyday and the aesthetic - by the general parallelism. At the same time, we understand the importance and beauty of today's day and this moment, and the action that happened right now, in our common space of the global world.

This artistic experiment touched Oleg Kharch and he began to fantasize about other linguistic borrowings. And finally, we have a significantly increased circle of language parallelisms, for example - from Germany, France, Italy. It is clear that there are a lot of borrowings in addition to Turkisms (over 4,000). So the series "Language Parallelisms" has every chance to be endless. Eternal theme.

Oleg Kharch is an artist known primarily as a painter, and in recent years has mastered other means of teaching his creative experiments to the general public. Collage-graphic method of observation.

We felt an unexpected look, and a non-format interpretation of the latest social and public manifestations, in the artistic study of Oleg Kharch even at the "Event Horizon" in the Mystetskyi Arsenal National Art and Culture Museum Complex in Kyiv, "Mashrou' Proletkult" in Beirut, KYIV ART WEEK 2019, ART FAIR 2nd Art Compensa - 2022 in Vilnius.

The intrigue is also because this topic - [Cotton Accounting] Oleg Kharcha is served as a certain artistic sandwich, in two objects that have little resemblance to each other. At the same time, they study the topic chosen by the artist and provoke a discourse with the viewer. And in this discourse, at the same time, two different experiences of "artistic & historical mythologem" are sent to the audience to make their own considerations, attempts at conclusions and evaluations. As always, Oleg Kharch asks a lot of questions in his works. But will they be answered???

Today, in connection with the full-scale military action by the Russian Federation, the topic has not lost its sharpness at all.

XXII МІЖНАРОДНА МИСТЕЦЬКА БІЄНАЛЕ СЕРВЕЙРА/ WE MUST TAKE ACTION! / ПОТРІБНО ДІЯТИ!

Через 44 роки після першого дня утопії, у 2022 році, найстаріша бієнале на Піренейському півострові та одна з найстаріших і найактуальніших сучасних мистецьких програмних структур у Португалії хоче діяти та спонукати мистецтво та художників думати про світ і глобальні надзвичайні проблемні ситуації, які стосуються кожного.

Розглядаючи надзвичайну кліматичну загрозу та актуальні питання, такі як сталість, неможливо не згадати важливість молодої активістки, шведки Грети Тунберг (2003 р.н.) та її внесок у висування питань, пов’язаних із навколишнім середовищем, на глобальному політичному порядку денному. Одна з його знакових фраз: «Ви повинні діяти. Ви повинні зробити неможливе. Тому що здаватися ніколи не є вибором». А отже, девіз теми XXII Міжнародної мистецької бієнале Сервейра, змінюючи тему на першу особисту множину: WE MUST TAKE ACTION! / ПОТРІБНО ДІЯТИ!

Художнє керівництво: Хелена Мендес Перейра.

Під мистецьким керівництвом Хелени Мендес Перейра, подія зберігатиме формат, прийнятий після першого видання (1978), з такими програмними напрямками: данина Хелені Алмейда, країна-гость – Японія, міжнародний конкурс, запрошені артисти, міжнародні конференції, резиденції та інтервенційна мистецька діяльність, діяльність у муніципалітеті В. Н. де Сервейра, виставкові центри в Мінью та Галісії, кураторські проекти, майстерні та екскурсії та мистецтво в громадських місцях.

Що характерно для Міжнародної мистецької бієнале Сервейра, на цьому міжнародному конкурсі було подано рекордну кількість 1164 робіт із загальної кількості 741 заявок від художників із 50 країн. У рамках міжнародного конкурсу публіці буде представлено 96 робіт 77 художників із 18 країн світу, до яких приєднаються запрошені художники, більшість із яких були нагороджені на попередніх конкурсах.

Серед представлених художників чимало вже відомих у світі імен: Фернандо Веласкес\ Уругвай, Беатріс Кунья\ Португалія, Франциско Трепа\ Португалія, Андре Мартус\ Німеччина, Марко Морейра\ Португалія, Василіс Карвуніс\ Греція, Мауріц Беттгер\ Німеччина, Каміла Соато\ Бразилія, Нгі Нгуєн\ В'єтнам (Nguyen Trinh Thi), Інес Телес\ Португалія.

Варто відзначити, що вперше за 44 роки історії Мистецької бієнале Сервейра на ній є й наш український арт десант.  Це Олег Харч та його дружина Ольга Шувалова зі своїми диковиними “punk collage” творами: П’ята частина. «Губить людей Вода»(The fifth part. "Losing people Water") та Частина КЛІМАТИЧНІ ДІФУЗІЇ «БЕРЕЖІТЬ ПРИРОДУ – МАТЬ ВАШУ» (“PROTECT THE NATURE – GODDAMN IT”. Part: CLIMATE DIFUSIONS) .

Естетична унікальність події також полягає в різноманітності наративів та інтерпретацій, поданих у різних контекстах. На додаток до інтеграції робіт у публічний простір «Vila das Artes» та сприяння культурній децентралізації, подія знову розширюється на Північну Португалію та Галісію, з виставками в: Alfândega da Fé (Casa da Cultura Mestre José Rodrigues). ), у Камінья (Муніципальний музей), у Монсао (Галерея мистецтв Cine Teatro João Verde), у Віла-Верде (Муніципальна бібліотека професора Мачадо Вілела) і в Понтеведрі (Museo de Pontevedra).

Зміцнюючи інтернаціоналізацію події, Fundação Bienal de Arte de Cerveira продовжуватиме процес цифрової трансформації, програмуючи подію, одночасно з виставками та заходами для особистого та онлайнового насолоди (інтерв’ю, екскурсії, передача мистецьких втручань та інше дії). У сфері думки.

Виставка вшановує Хелену Алмейду (1934-2018), художницю, яка значною мірою відображає дух, виражений у цьому тексті. Виставка матиме назву EGO_ERGONOMIA і проходитиме рівно через 40 років після створення художником роботи Black Out» (1982), яка у 1984 році в рамках IV Міжнародної мистецької бієнале Cервейра, що проходила з 4 серпня по 2 вересня, був лауреатом премії, присудженої муніципалітетом Віла-Нова-де-Сервейра. Загалом буде виставлено 10 робі�� Хелени Алмейди, а також роботи 10 робіт запрошених художників.

Мистецька бієнале Сервейра (Bienal de Arte de Cerveira) в різні часи приймало зірок арт сцени. Можемо згадати у 1980 та 1986 роках участь номера 1 в Португалїї- Кабріта (Cabrita), 1982 рік Іржі Колара (Jiri Kolár) одного з топових художників після воєнного часу Чешської республіки. Вже 2011 рік  Мистецька бієнале Сервейра приймало Джейка і Діноса Чепменів (Jake & Dinos Chapman) зі Сполученого Королівства, відомих нам потім на Арсенале Бієнале. А в2013 рік всесвітньо відома Марина Абрамович (Marina Abramovic).

Feelings of radiation. Do my memories tell you that? However, wandering the paths of the abandoned Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, I had various mythical thoughts. About various animals that could be born there in the same after the Catastrophe. The lens of my camera did not meet anything like that. Suddenly. Strange old Polissya fence made of wood. And on top, as if standing these two goats. Oh, are they two-headed? But no! It has been three years since I was there, but my memories of those creatures still wander. And there is still no clear answer. So let them be there, just the way I made them up. And also real live goats, consuming green leaves and grass. Thirty-five years after that catastrophe.
