What Kind of Stupid Are You?

Blissfully stupid

They say ignorance is bliss and by god you are living your best life. You skip merrily into a bear's cave to pet it as your friends scream at you to run. The world is beautiful and everyone is your best friend, nothing can possibly go wrong! You are incredibly curious and probably believe in magic. This isn't to say you're an innocent little baby, just that you see the world in a more positive light then most. You face danger with a smile, not because you are particularly brave but because you don't know there's danger to begin with.

((Thanks to @musemelodies I HAVE been thinking about Timon and Pumbaa nonstop. Anyway I haven’t had the chance to write any opens or anything but consider Pumbaa a test muse, feel free to shoot him an ask or a short/low pressure starter and I’ll see what I have time for!! "That you do," Iida replies, a soft bemusement in his voice, "but I still think a good hero catchphrase should be shorter."

He had already looked over the requirements for their assignment-- well, extra credit, but still-- and come up with a list of potential catchphrases for himself. They weren't perfect, but he thought he had a good start. 'Here in no time!' and 'justice fuels me!' had special potential to him, even if they were just first drafts.

"Remember, the intention is to be memorable and easy to call out in combat." Iida points at the paper. "It says one of the most effective catchphrases is All Might's 'I am here!' since it is distinct, versatile, and brief. Maybe we shorten yours to 'starlight and sunshine'? Or that with a verb on the end. Starlight and sunshine... arrive? Triumph? Sparkle?"

Ferb/Beck headcanons?

Ferb was left speechless the first time they met. Beck thought Ferb was mute, and was actually startled the first time Ferb did speak. So startled, she screamed. And instantly covered her mouth and started apologizing for screaming.

He tried playing football for her once, it wasn't his jam. But he did learn he enjoys watching Beck play.

like 90% of their relationship is Beck talking and just infering what Ferb is saying. She's right almost always, and everyone wonders how she does it. She usually just shrugs and points at Phineas and goes "he does it too?" Everyone agrees it's not the same thing.

Ferb managed to rope Isabella's entire fireside girl troop into his original promposal....Except Beck somehow missed it and Ferb had to come up with a backup plan. Which ended up being just asking her to her face.

Beck had literally no idea that Ferb had a crush on her until highschool, and even then, she was confused by it for a while. Everyone else knew. Literally everyone but Beck and Phineas were aware. Even Candance knew. Even his mom and dad knew.

Speaking of Linda & Lawrence, they've known about Ferb's crush on Beck since day one. Lawrence constantly ribbed Ferb about it, saying that he was 'just like his old man'. Linda kept trying to give Ferb advice that usually wouldn't exactly work. Usually, because Beck wasn't exaclty a 'dramatically reveal roses and confess in front of the whole school' kind of girl.

Ferb thinks Beck is the most beautiful girl in the entire universe, and Beck thinks he hasn't seen enough girls to make that distinction. He tried to prove it using a math forumula once, but by the time he was done writing it, Beck had fallen asleep. Ferb got to tuck Beck into bed that night, and promptly didn't sleep for the next two days.

I had such a good birthday you guys I had rehearsal and then hung out with my friends at the fair and had dinner with my gf and roommate and my gf and I watched muppets mayhem (our show). I love being 23 it’s going so well already :)

It is the 4th of July and he has been up since 3:00 singing every patriotic American song he can think of. He also has managed to acquire about 40 pounds of fireworks for later. Oorah.

That's what's got her upset, really. Isabella wants him to stay, wants the summer to stay, more than anything. She just has a hard time talking about it. After all, Phineas is so bright and resilient and nothing ever seems to get him down. It doesn't seem fair to drag him down with her problems, especially when they're problems that are out of her hands.

"I guess I'm just sad that we're so close to school starting again. I have so much fun with you all summer, and... what if we end up in different classes? What if we barely ever see each other?"

It's been eating at her, making her worry even though she knows it's out of her control. Summer feels sacred, in a way, and she doesn't want it to end. She doesn't want her time with Phineas to end. And in her moment of vulnerability, she doesn't even remember to cover it under claims that she's talking about the whole group.

"I know it's silly. But I'm starting to miss you already, even though you're not gone."

“Negatory. I am not upset. I do not let things upset me if they’re not important.”

He’s lying, of course, and he knows Zhanna can tell, so he’s not going to keep it up for long. He usually wouldn’t lie to her at all, but this is a matter of pride. Can’t let himself act weak yet. Not even if he knows she won’t think of less of him.

Soldier stands very straight for a bit, facing the wall. Not having to look at anyone helps him think. He is not sure exactly what he’s thinking about, but it’s probably very important. He’s wearing his big t-shirt right now, the one that doesn’t fit comfortably under any of his jackets, and a jacket because he does not want to be wearing only a t-shirt. He cannot put on a smaller shirt because that would mean changing, and for once in his life he would really much prefer to stay as clothed as possible. He puts his hand on his chest like he’s saying the Pledge of Allegiance, then lets it slip down and to his side, gently tracing where he knows his scars are. Not the bullet scars, or the ones from getting hit by shrapnel, or any of the ones from battle. The scars from the surgery he convinced Medic to give him about two days into their professional relationship. He likes those, maybe even more than the ones that prove he’s a hero, except sometimes he does not like them at all because sometimes he does not like the reminder that he needed surgery in the first place. Right now is ‘sometimes.’

Thinking isn’t helping, so instead he sits down on the bed, tugging Zhanna’s hand so she knows to sit with him.

“Jane is a man’s name.”

It feels a little silly, saying it out loud. He knows she knows that already. Jane is his name. He’s a man. So it’s a man’s name, and he shouldn’t care if not everyone picks up on that right away. It’s like Ashley or Evelyn or Leslie. People don’t always know by reading it, and then he gets letters or packages addressed to Miss or Mrs. Jane Doe, and it usually doesn’t phase him. But when it does, it does. That’s the part that feels silly, really, is that he knows better than to take it personally, but it still gets to him sometimes.

“Jane is a man’s name and I am a man.”

Again, he knows Zhanna is the last person he needs to tell. But it feels good to say it out loud. He lays his head somewhere between her chest and her shoulder, and that feels good, too. It feels like trust and love and a whole lot of muscle.

“…Say that back to me, private.”
