Some motherfucker really compared a potential ban on RPF to being a holocaust victim.
Just shut AO3 down at this point.

There have been (at least) FIVE former close friends of Lily’s that have publicly come put with abuse and harassment allegations against her, with a LOT more evidence to back those accusations up than Lily has ever fucking had against them. Now, quite frankly, I don’t know why exactly that this means fucking nothing to you. That THIS many former close friends of Lily’s have all come out to say that she was an abusive fucking cunt to them should be an incredibly damning statement about her to anybody even thinking about defending her as far as I’m concerned.
But I also don’t really give a shit that it means nothing to you, because all of her victims don’t need your (nor Lily herself’s) fucking permission to be angry at her for all of the abuse that she has put them through for however long that they fucking want to do so. Abuse victims don’t HAVE to ‘just get over’ their abuse Lupina, and they CERTAINLY don’t have to just suck it up and be silent about it all just for the sake of abuse apologist fucking weirdos like you.
Point 1:
youtube
Point 2: you don't fucking know me asshole, I never once said "just get over it" and the fact that you think I'd EVER excuse actual abuse is ghoulish at best, I've posted before about my own abuse, and to pull this shit while on anon, I'm turning anon asks off for a while, face me yourself you fucking cunt.

TIL that in 1935 the US Government planted 220 million trees in 7 years to combat Dust storms. It was a huge success and if it was repeated today it would help in the fight against the climate crisis immensly.

So I was able to take care of rent, but that wiped my accounts, so I have no way of getting groceries, if anyone can send $40 to $60 USD then I could get some groceries to feed my family for a while.

So Ginger just described the plot of They/Them (the conversion camp slasher movie) and... don't go see that movie. It's not a safe place to be.

Hay guys, i’ve made a post like this before but I need help. I’m trying to raise money so I can move out of my abusive household. My parents take most of the money I make from my job so I had to open a hidden account.

Pls do not reblog anything with the old disability pride flag, it does cause seizure and migraines, please use the new one which was created by the same person with the feedbacks of many other disabled people.
This is the safe one:
Tumblr media
Dont use the zigzag one, your making disabled space inaccessible for a part of the community.

Roe being overturned is really not a good time to be like “well we voted in Democrats and they didn’t fix it!!1!!”
First of all, there are not nearly enough progressive Democrats in the Senate to reasonably expect legislation like this to pass without overturning the filibuster, and not enough candidates who favored overturning the filibuster made it into the Senate. We barely have a majority at all, nothing close to the 2/3 we would need without ending the filibuster. So there’s that.
Second, it’s a bad time to make this argument because voting literally absolutely could have prevented this outcome. 100%, without a doubt, if the 2016 election had ended differently, we would not be here today.
Third, there’s no reason you can’t protest and organize and volunteer and donate AND vote. Even if you’re not convinced, it can’t hurt. Even if your candidate doesn’t win (!), minds are changed every time a progressive campaign gains traction. Even if you can only chip away at a Republican majority in a red state, over time it makes a difference. (Please see: The state of Georgia.)
Finally, there’s no reason to reasonably expect anything to change if you don’t vote for pro-choice progressive candidates at every level of government. Staying home is the one way to guarantee Republicans win and nothing changes.
TLDR; do all the other stuff. But also vote.

Anyway.
For those of you aren't aware and aren't involved in NDN circles, the Supreme Court just declared that tribal territories and reservations are part of states and are under state jurisdiction, including in regards to charging someone and putting them on trial in state courts for crimes related to the tribe (as opposed to this being left up to tribal courts), undoing decades of precedent for the separation of tribal and state governments.
In a few months, the Supreme Court is also going to be giving a verdict on whether or not the Indian Child Welfare Act, the only thing keeping indigenous children with their families and communities instead of being "adopted" (trafficked) to white Christian families at every chance, is unconstitutional. This act is also dependent on the belief that tribes are sovereign nations and that giving our children to people outside of our tribes is akin to the US government taking Canadian children in the Canadian foster system and trying to adopt them out to American families.
If the ICWA falls, we're going to see a modern Sixties Scoop, with Native children being stolen from their tribes and families and cultures and assimilated into white Christian society. This is not only traumatizing for the children and their families, it's also a form of cultural genocide that has been used against us before and has devastating effects.
There are family members I never knew because they disappeared into the foster system as children.
This is the beginning of what's going to be wave after wave of attacks on indigenous sovereignty and tribal governance. The Supreme Court, even with a Democratic majority, has historically decided against upholding indigenous sovereignty and tribal protection. We're seeing genocide and forced assimilation become federal policy again.
