THE FUTURE SELF

Dear Future Self,

Hi! I hope that you are doing great now. Whatever you have achieved in life, I am so proud of you. I hope that you can now already handle your own self and maintain and balance everything you do. I hope that you are now contented in life and for what things you have and be grateful in life. I hope you are able to face your fears and embrace your inner strengths that would be an inspiration to others. I also hope that you are doing things that has positive impact to other people. I hope that you are still wanting to learn and grow more. I know that you have already achieved your dreams. I also hope that your faith in Him will be much stronger and make good and positive relationships to people.

SPIRITUAL SELF

Spiritual Self. I think that it is our way how to label and to see ourselves. It is how we see ourselves spiritually. We have this self for our spiritual growth. As you can see, we really do not care and rely on others about our spiritual self. We need this for our growth, spiritually. Our spiritual self live up to our standards. We live because of this and we are need to be calm on our spiritual self for it sometimes gives us a better feeling and also helps us to discover our lives’ meaning that would gives us the feeling of satisfaction and contentment.

EMOTIONAL SELF

Emotional Self. I believe that it is the how our self reacts and/or respond to situations or experiences. We always have a reaction to what happened or happening to us or what happens on our environment. Emotional Self is one of the forces of self. It a person let it dominate his/her emotional self, it it likely that he/she is creating drama or chaos in his/her life. It looks like something is always wrong about him/her. It means the he/she is out of focus and has problems to deal with. If it is not balanced, everything will be affected and will cause pain.

MENTAL SELF

Mental Self. I believe that humans learn or gain knowledge in two ways. Some people learn by doing or experiencing something and some people learn through logical reasoning. I myself learn by doing or experiencing something. I think this is what I believe that helps me gain knowledge because I am able to experience and understand something. Our mental self is so powerful that it is very eager to do and/or willing to do what is asked. It can dominate the other self if we let it to that would lead to threatening our own self and face judgment because it looks like that we are self-centered.

SOCIAL SELF

Social Self? I believe our social self is not our true self. Our social self is what we want to be and that’s what we show to other beings. I also believe that the environment affects our social self. Base on my experience, if I am not comfortable with my environment, I am likely to be alone and do not socialize with others. If I get comfortable and wants what surrounds me, I am easy to socialize with. I think that some of you are like this. But, I also know that sometimes other beings are very socializing. They always want to socialize, not like me. When it comes to socio-digital self, it seems that this is one proof that we are not ourselves on social media. We make another self and that other self is what we want to be. I believe that social media is very powerful that it affects every human in this world.

BIOLOGICAL SELF

Biological Self. What is it all about? I believe that the self is a piece of replicating machinery. I think it is the easiest way to define the self. Based on what I have learned and understood over time, sometimes we define ourselves or others because of what they came from or what kind of family they have. It is like what the parents are, is what likely their child would be. Just like what we sometimes have observed from ourselves, we realize that we think and look like our parents. And also on our physical self, it is what we interface with our environment and fellow being. It can be easily examined and observed since it is a tangible aspect of the self. I think our physical self is our body.

"Graph" We made graph about how many hours we spend in using social media sites. We have our first five which are the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google and Youtube. As you can see in our graph, the most used social media site is the facebook, of course. #fbislifeuu

"Self Introductory Video" I made a video introducing myself and the things I love to do. It was very hard to edit the video at first try but finally, I finished it!

"Dove Commercial" We made a parody of the dove commercial and showed how being literate in giving informations by doing commercials. We edited and change some of the lines and concepts that would change peoples' mindset about the commercial. We made a guy use a girl's shampoo instead of a girl. #allshampoosarethesame

"Print Media" We brought an example of print media in our Media and Information Literacy class which is a magazine and discussed why is it a kind of print media and what information it gives to the users and readers.

"Tourism Business" Graphic organizer that shows different aspects involved in tourism business such as agencis, costumers, infrastructures, business, destinations and transporation. It can be a good source of living for people who live in a certain community but it can also be threat because it can be scammed.
