‎I saw Ibn Taymiyyah - may Allah have mercy on him:

‎ If he goes out to the Friday prayer.

‎He would take whatever bread or anything else he finds in the house and give it in charity secretly on his way.

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَثَلُكُمْ وَمَثَلُ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابَيْنِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَأْجَرَ أُجَرَاءَ فَقَالَ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ لِي مِنْ غُدْوَةَ إِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ عَلَى قِيرَاطٍ فَعَمِلَتِ الْيَهُودُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ لِي مِنْ نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ إِلَى صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ عَلَى قِيرَاطٍ فَعَمِلَتِ النَّصَارَى ثُمَّ، قَالَ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ لِي مِنَ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى أَنْ تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى قِيرَاطَيْنِ فَأَنْتُمْ هُمْ، فَغَضِبَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى، فَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا أَكْثَرَ عَمَلاً، وَأَقَلَّ عَطَاءً قَالَ هَلْ نَقَصْتُكُمْ مِنْ حَقِّكُمْ قَالُوا لاَ‏.‏ قَالَ فَذَلِكَ فَضْلِي أُوتِيهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ ‏"‏‏.‏ صحيح البخاري حديث ٢٢٦٨

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Your example and the example of the people of the two Scriptures (i.e. Jews and Christians) is like the example of a man who employed some laborers and asked them, 'Who will work for me from morning till midday for one Qirat?' The Jews accepted and carried out the work. He then asked, Who will work for me from midday up to the `Asr prayer for one Qirat?' The Christians accepted and fulfilled the work. He then said, 'Who will work for me from the `Asr till sunset for two Qirats?' You, Muslims have accepted the offer. The Jews and the Christians got angry and said, 'Why should we work more and get lesser wages?' (Allah) said, 'Have I withheld part of your right?' They replied in the negative. He said, 'It is My Blessing, I bestow upon whomever I wish .' Sahih al-Bukhari 2268 In-book reference : Book 37, Hadith 8

أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أراد عمر الأمة الإسلامية مقارنة بمجموع الأُمَّتين اليهود والنصارى، لا مقارنة بأمة واحدة منهما، ولا شك أن عمر أمة الإسلام أقصر من عمر الأمتين معًا؛ لأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أخبر بأنه بُعث هو والساعة كهاتين، وقرن بين أصبعيه: السبابة والوسطى[1].

قال الحافظ ابن رجب رحمه الله: "قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إنما بقاؤكم فيما سلف من الأمم قبلكم)): إنما أراد به والله أعلم أتباع موسى وعيسى عليهما السلام، ولهذا فسر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ذلك بعمل أهل التوارة بها إلى انتصاف النهار، وعمل أهل الإنجيل به إلى العصر، وعمل المسلمين بالقرآن إلى غروب الشمس؛ لأن مدة هذه الأمة بالنسبة إلى مدة الدنيا من أولها إلى آخرها لا يبلغ قدر ما بين العصر إلى غروب الشمس بالنسبة إلى ما مضى من النهار، بل هو أقل من ذلك بكثير، ويدل عليه صريحًا ما خرجه الإمام أحمد والترمذي من حديث أبي سعيد: ((أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى بهم صلاة العصر يومًا بنهار، ثم قام خطيبًا، فلم يَدَعْ شيئًا يكون إلى قيام الساعة إلا أخبرنا به - فذكر الحديث بطوله، وقال في آخره: قال: وجعلنا نلتفت إلى الشمس هل بقي منها شيء، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ألا إنه لم يبقَ من الدنيا فيما مضى إلا كما بقي من يومكم هذا فيما مضى منه)).

ويشهد لذلك من الأحاديث الصحيحة قول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((بُعثت أنا والساعة كهاتين، وقرن بين أصبعيه: السبابة والوسطى)).

وكل هذا النصوص تدل على شدة اقتراب الساعة؛ كما دل عليه قوله تعالى: ﴿ اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ ﴾ [القمر: 1]"؛ ا.هـ فتح الباري لابن رجب (4/ 333 - 335) مختصرًا..

الإجابة الثانية: أن هذا باعتبار عمر كل فرد على حدة؛ فالأمم السابقة كانت أفرادها أطول عمرًا من أفراد هذه الأمة؛ فعَمَلُ هؤلاء الأفراد أطول بلا شك من عمل أفراد هذه الأمة، ومع ذلك أُعطينا أكثر مما أُعطوا.

قال الإمام ابن الجوزي رحمه الله: "فربما قال قائل: فهذه الأمة قد قاربت ستمائة سنة من بعثة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فكيف يكون زمانها أقل؟ فالجواب: أن عملها أسهل، وأعمار المكلفين أقصر"؛ ا.هـكشف المشكل في الصحيحين (1/ 416، 417)..

هذا، والله أعلم. شرح الحديث إنما بقاؤكم فيما سلف قبلكم من الأمم

اللهُ عَزَّ وجَلَّ واسِعُ الفَضلِ، جَزيلُ العَطاءِ، يُعطي مَن يَشاءُ بغَيرِ حِسابٍ، وقد فَضَّلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وجَلَّ أُمَّتَنا في العَطاءِ والأجْرِ على جَميعِ مَن سَبَقَها مِنَ الأُمَمِ؛ فَضلًا منه سُبحانَه وكَرَمًا.  وفي هذا الحَديثِ يُبيِّنُ النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ جانِبًا مِن فَضلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وجَلَّ على أُمَّتِنا الإسلاميَّةِ؛ حَيثُ قَصُرَ زَمانُها وضاعَفَ اللهُ أجْرَها على ما تَعمَلُ مِن صالِحاتٍ، مُقارَنةً بما كانَتْ عليه الأُمَمُ السابِقةُ؛ فيَقولُ صَلَّى الله عليه وسلَّمَ: إنَّما أجَلُكم، أي: زَمانُكم -أيُّها المُسلِمونَ- في زَمانِ مَن مَضى مِنَ الأُمَمِ، كما بَينَ صَلاةِ العَصْرِ ومَغرِبِ الشَّمسِ. وإنَّما مَثَلُكم أيُّها المُسلِمونَ مَعَ نَبيِّكم، ومَثَلُ اليَهودِ والنَّصارى مَعَ أنبيائِهم كَرَجُلٍ استَعمَلَ عُمَّالًا بأُجْرةٍ، فقال: مَن يَعمَلُ لي عَمَلًا إلى نِصفِ النَّهارِ عَلى "قيراطٍ قيراطٍ"؟، والمُراد بِه هُنا النَّصيبُ والأجْرُ المُحَدَّدُ على العَمَلِ، فعَمِلَتِ اليَهودُ إلى نِصْفِ النَّهارِ عَلى قيراطٍ قيراطٍ، فأُعْطوا كُلُّ واحِدٍ قيراطًا. ثم قال: مَن يَعمَلُ لي عَمَلًا مِن نِصْفِ النَّهارِ إلى صَلاةِ العَصْرِ عَلى قِيراطٍ قِيراطٍ؟ فعَمِلَتِ النَّصارَى مِن نِصْفِ النَّهارِ إلى صَلاةِ العَصرِ عَلى قِيراطٍ قِيراطٍ، ثُمَّ قال: مَن يَعْمَلُ لي عَمَلًا مِن صَلاةِ العَصرِ إلى مَغرِبِ الشَّمسِ عَلى قِيراطَيْنِ قِيراطَيْنِ؟ قال: ألا فأَنتُم أيُّها الأُمَّةُ المُحَمَّديَّةُ الَّذين يَعمَلونَ مِن صَلاةِ العَصرِ إلى مَغرِبِ الشَّمسِ عَلى قيراطَيْنِ قيراطَيْنِ، ألا لَكُمُ الأَجرُ مَرَّتَيْنِ، فَغَضِبَتِ اليَهودُ والنَّصارى، فقالوا: نَحنُ أكْثَرُ عَمَلًا، وأَقَلُّ عَطاءً. قال الله عَزَّ وجَلَّ: هل "ظَلَمْتُكم"؟ أي: نَقَصْتُكم مِن حَقِّكم شَيْئًا؟ قالوا: لا. قال: فإنَّه فَضْلي أُعْطيه مَن شِئتُ. وفي الحَديثِ: قِلَّةُ زَمانِ هذِه الأُمَّةِ بالنِّسبةِ إلى زَمانِ مَن خَلا. وفيه: أنَّ الأعمالَ بالخَواتيمِ. وفيه: ضَرْبُ الأمْثالِ للتَّعليمِ والتَّوضيحِ. الدرر السنية

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Hour will not be established until two groups fight each other. There will be a massive slaughter between them and their claim is one and the same. The Hour will not be established until close to thirty lying impostors appear, each one imagining that he is the messenger of Allah.”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Hour will not be established until a man passes by the grave of another man and he says: Would that I were in his place!”

• A sin committed in the past which they don't know what Allāh has done with it

• A lifespan which remains to unfold, they don't know what lies in it of destruction

• A blessing given to the slave, which could perhaps be a curse and an allure or bait, and misguidance which has been beautified for a person such that he sees it as guidance

• A slip of the heart for a short moment wherein a person's religion is seized away and he does not feel it."
