Have I ever told you guys my favorite type os story/character is Redemption? Idk the belief that anyone can change for the better and become someone good because other people showed them kindness and compassion is just… a big part of my comfort… stuff, I guess. (That’s also the reason I sympathize with Noah… kinda…….. it’s complicated, I’ll explain another day)

but yeah sure!! kitty @livesbeneath and i have been slowly plotting out/writing it in bits and pieces for ages now i think since ilb ended? but we only rly started jokingly calling it our it lives 3/ilw when it became kind of obvious it wasnt gonna be getting a third book and have since invested far too much time in something we have been writing like solely for fun HSJSHSJK but yknow

BUT plot wise ill put it under a cut so this isnt a million pages long and i apologize in advance for all the rambliness of it all (and i mean u are welcome to ask either of us for more details if u want but yknow!)

so we were very into the idea of tying up the loose ends (ie noah bringing back mc - we both sacrificed our mcs so thats what we’ve been working with) / bringing together the two gangs from the last two books so its mostly all the preexisting chars with like a couple new ocs rather than a whole new gang! esp bc the monster squad tease at the end of ilb with noah/connor/jocelyn was just too much to resist thats kind of where we started 

i dont want to get too long winded but the gist of it is that noah has, during his travels, been searching for witches like cora with stuff he stole from her house to resurrect mc (who is named harley based on kittys mc <3) and through that he does end up finding a witch (a young woman named sab shes the only oc and shes my baby) who is willing to help him research and find a way to resurrect her using her magic and knowledge of it - eventually they recruit connor and jocelyn as we see in the bonus scene and for a while its just the four of them trying shit and also trying to figure out what they can about the power in general

and eventually they end up meeting up with the ilb gang since ilb mc (who is named gemma) has kind of become the keeper of the power in josephines place following the events and shes like Hey Stop Fucking With It and theyre like 👉👈 help us? and noah pleads his case and even though tom doesnt trust him still he does wanna try to get harley back and it’s also like cool parents voice we’d rather you fuck with the power in the house than go somewhere else :/ so the ilb gang gets involved too!

i cant describe every plot point beat by beat or we’d be here all day HJSHJKS but the like climax is tht eventually they find a ritual they think will work thatll use sabs magic and gemmas connection to the power and they try it but it totally backfires and the power (and consequently harley) flip out and its kind of like homecoming/lake day part 2 ie the monsters r comin back out and things r Not good and the ilitw gang back in westchester is like HEY??? WHAT THE FUCK??? and through connor/tom/andy and dan who found out through tom by accident end up heading over and now the gangs all here for monster fighting! and also surprise noah reunion with the ilitw squad bc they were Not expecting him to be there guess They have some things to talk about!

but they actually have to collaborate all together now bc none of them are willing to like sit this out especially when theres monsters crawling around and the power is Pissed off and also once the ilitw gang finds out harleys “alive” (ish yall know what i mean) and the plan is to bring her back they definitely want to be there so in the end they all actually have to work together and omg communicate <3 cause they all have to be on the same page or this shit is not gonna work especially with so many people involved now with So much history behind all of their relationships 

and the crux of it all is basically they realize they have to stop trying to fight the power because its a force on its own like its Alive in a way and part of the land that can’t be defeated it needs to be protected so its like. after so long of it being fought or being used to fight and all that stuff they realize they just need to work With it. it’s not evil its just been used for that so often but the power itself is not inherently evil and it needs Protection and you can work with it 

which is also how they get harley back! instead of trying to seperate her from the power by force gemma and sab use their connections to the power and separate magic respectively work with it to get her soul out and resurrect her with the help of the rest of the gang and kind of establish a connection with the power where its like. theyre not gonna use it and theyre not gonna fight it and theyre not gonna let anyone else use it they all kind of passively (except gemma and tom who kind of more actively are since gemmas the keeper) become protectors of the power and also like finally get to kind of like. relax yknow
