a body count not as in homicide nor as in sexuality but as in the trail of people from my childhood and adolescence i should’ve been a better friend to and taken better care of but i was too busy being caught up in my own heartache to recognize their own and therefore our relationship tapered off in an extremely unsatisfying way that continuously manifests itself as a thrumming sense of grief in my chest. anyway which restaurant chains have the best free pre-meal bread?

Hey Sophie, what's your current skincare routine? :)
Hi :) my routine this year has become more stripped back and less... involved, I think I’ve been buying a lot of things on impulse in the last few years (uh... maybe longer) and have gone a bit crazy wanting to use lots of different products at the same time so since using up a lot of things I’ve tried to have a bit of a fresh start and kinda... streamline my routine! If that makes sense...
at the moment...
💧 Cleansers (in the AM) I’m mostly using Cerave hydrating cleanser (I’ve happily found that this is very similar to the Avene gentle cleanser which I’ve loved using for many years but the Cerave one comes in a much bigger size for the price and is very soft on the skin), I’m also using Nuxe delicate cleansing oil for a deeper double cleanse, I really love pretty much anything from their rose collection!
🌸 Toner... I’m just using rose water every day atm, it’s helping calm my skin in this cold weather... I’m currently using this one from amazon. Occasionally I like to also use Caudalie’s ‘beauty elixir’ mist as a toner, I love the soft grape scent!
✨ Serums, I’m currently using Holika Holika 3 second starter collagen serum or Beauty Bay’s ‘skinhit’ nourishing oil (a newer purchase) before my moisturiser or mixed in.
🥛Moisturisers, I’m still using my faithful Embryolisse lait creme! But also a tube of aloe vera gel, purest I could find for days when wanting something lighter on my skin as the Embryolisse cream is quite thick...
💦 In the evenings, I either use the Cerave cleanser again or a scoop of Banila clean it zero balm (the original one in the pink pot) for removing makeup if wearing any that day. For taking off makeup in general, I use Bioderma sensibio micellar water.
🌙 Before bed, I use either Laneige water sleeping mask (blue pot) or for days when my skin is feeling really dry and irritated, I’ll attempt to embalm myself in a large amount of Nivea Creme which I find I can use on both my face and body... and a lil bit of Laneige lip mask too!
💫 Masks I’m using currently are...
Beauty Bay’s skin fixer clay blend
Caudalie glycolic peel mask
Nip + Fab dragon’s blood jelly mask
Lululun sheet mask box (pink moisture type)
🍒 And for lips I mainly use Burts Bee’s lip balms... if I want a bit of glossy hydration I either use Glossier tinted gloss or Clarins lip oil :)

Manifesting Tip – ✿
(guys this is an extra tip for manifesting your ideal body!)
✼ h e a l t h y – h a b i t s ✼
When trying to manifest something, attach a healthy habit to that, if you don't understand, here's some examples below !
↳ "every time I drink water, my waist shrinks"
↳ "whenever I drink tea, my legs get thinner"
↳ "when I drink water, my thigh gap gets bigger"
↳ "my nose becomes narrower every time I drink peppermint tea"
↳ "whenever I eat an apple, my skin becomes softer"
It's important that it's a healthy habit that you associate with whatever you want to manifest rather than a unhealthy habit (smoking, drinking alcohol etc.),
It's important that you actually convince yourself and believe that [drinking water] will [shrink your waist] or whatever it is you want because in manifestion, belief is key!
This is called the placebo effect, I'm sure most of you heard of it, but if you haven't, I'll just explain it by summarising a placebo experiment ; some time ago, in the hospital, one patient was given a real pill for wherever they needed, and the second patient was given a fake pill that looks, smells and feels exactly the same as the real pill except its made out of sugar, starch and some other thing(s). And during the experiment, the person with the fake pill didn't know their pill was fake, and after taking the pill, both of the patients said they felt a lot better, despite one of the pills being fake. There has also been scientific research done and proof has been show that placebo actually can cure some diseases, so pretty much, if you believe hard enough, it'll happen!
Once you actually believe it, just do whatever the healthy habit you came up with is, for example, I'm drinking water rn which is what I put as my healthy habit!
Hope you have a good day, stay safe <3

Informative post vol 2.
I can’t stress enough the importance of this.
Okey, so let’s talk a little bit about “omg I gained 3 pounds overnight what the hell, I’m so fat”
Tumblr media
So i can’t really understand this logic, maybe because I learn about human body in my uni like all the time, but I just wanted to say:
General overview is this: You are literally a hole. It starts with your mouth, it ends with your anus. Your other organs and body fat are surrounding this hole. When the food moves through this “pipe” your body is absorbing nutriens, kcal and water. What it can’t absorb - mostly fiber - stays in the pipe and turns into poop. This is why they say fiber is good for you, it’s kind of uncloging your digestive system.
Tumblr media
So imagine two scenarios. First: you ate one piece of cake which was like 500 kcal and had almost no fiber. Then you didn’t poop. The next morning your weight stays the same/ lower - you stayed under the caloric limit, and almost no fiber stayed in your digestive track. Ok, now let’s imagine you eat, let’s say, 500 kcal worth od apples (it’s probably like 6-8 apples, depemding on a size). You also ate 500 kcal, but your fiber intake is much higher. Then you didn’t poop. Next morning… You gained! But it’s not fat. And you ask yourself what the hell, I only ate 500 kcal, and just apples, that are suppose to be healthy! Well - now you know - it’s fiber, staying in your system.
And now I want to talk about getting enough fiber in your diet.
Tumblr media
Especially if you are low-restricting, please take caution and add fiber to your diet. I promise you, you won’t gain fat because of this and it can literally save you from many diseases even like colorectal cancer. If you experience not being able to poop for a couple or days, or even a week, it probably means you really should get your fiber. All the “poop” is still in your guts, and it also makes your weight - much higher and you - bloated. Defecation is really important, so please don’t underestimate it.
If you eat mostly whole, plant-based foods you should be ok, but here is a list od high fiber foods:
So here are foods with high fiber:
- Split peas 16g/cup
- Lentils 15.5g/cup
- Black beans 15g/cup
- Baked beans 10g/cup
- Chia seeds 10g/ounce
- Green peas 9g/cup
- Raspberries 8g/cup
…and many many more.
Disclaimer: I would love to see you all recover. To be able to eat with your friends. But i know some of you won’t do this, so at least please, please, if you can do anything to do this more safely - do this.
Tumblr media
Pardon my english, it’s not my native.
If you’d like to add something or you don’t agree on something please correct me in the coments/reblogs.

update 2!! i’m feelin pretty full! would recommend these little dudes! a little pricey (this one was $3.55), but good to satisfy sweet cravings and fill me up instead of a high calories snack :))))
