10/13/23 - Happy Poco's Birthday! (and a Hiatus Update...)
Hello everyone! Sorry for no updates/uploads for three months, but I just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that I'm not dead and work will resume "whenever I am ready to resume."
My progress this year can't hold a candle to what I was able to accomplish last year and I am a little sad at that. In retrospect, I most-likely burned myself out and found little motivation to continue. However, with shame of not having finished my scanlation and further prolonging it when I was once slated (at the previous pace) to finish it almost 2 years ago? I am a little disappointed and that disappointment is driving me again to scanlate.
So, while I wish I were scanlating under a better pretext/motivation, I'm at the point where I will honestly take just about anything to continue on. Though it may be at a slow pace, I will, once again, continue working on this scanlation now. Please stay tuned to my English scanlation, and I will try, once again, to provide to the best of my ability something positive for this series and finally allow people to read the ending that hasn't been available in English ever since 2021.

7/24/23 - (A Day Late to My) 2nd Year Anniversary...
Hello, everyone! It’s been a while again...
I’m still on break, but I just wanted to celebrate 2 years since I’ve started scanlating this series (and scanlating and learning Japanese in general really) and talk about a few things. I just wanted to update everyone as to not leave people in the dark.
In all, the long and short of it is that I’ve been doing this for two years. In uploading more than 50+ chapters of this series, I dare say that I’ve learned a lot have gotten better. However, in comparison to last year, I am a little bit disappointed to say that I’ve not been scanlating as fast or as much. Unfortunately, whether this is because of forces that I can or cannot control, I cannot fully say. I continue to dedicate my free leisure time to this series; it’s just up to the fates when it is that is. I apologize but it is what it is. If everyone is willing to bear with me and be patient, then I fully intend to finish scanlating this series no matter how many twists and bends that I have to go through.
Moreover, I cannot say exactly when I will return with more uploads. However, I do plan on changing things a bit whenever I do. I might choose to work on uploading Volume 11 and Volume 1 at the same time rather than one after the other. I plan to not come back until I have a sufficient amount of it done either, so I can create enough of a backlog and avoid crunchtime and such. After that, we can all just focus on Volume 12.
And I think that’s it! I hope everyone has been doing fine and I apologize for making this last longer than it ever needed or possibly should have been. Two years working on one series sounds insane. Considering the amount of uploads other groups, I just can’t compete. However, it’s what I can offer as someone who’s severely late to the party. Again, thank you everyone for reading this manga along with me and I am open to criticism on my scanlations and how I run this channel. (My Tumblr messages and asks will remain open.) 6/10/23 - Need a Break for Vol. 11 & Vol. 1 Translations...
Hello again, everyone!
Unfortunately, as the title says, I need a little more time to finish those translations so I can then move onto making the actual scanlation. Sorry again that my life continues to get in the way, but that’s the way it is, I suppose. Hopefully, I will be back by the next bi-weekly upload. However, I may need to take even longer.
Anyway, it’s been long enough that I’ve put the translations aside, so that’s what I will be focusing on next. Please expect the last two chapters of Volume 11 (62 & 63) to be posted in the coming days. (Please refer to the post on 3/18/23 if you would like to help peer-revise my Japanese to English translations!) Furthermore, please expect Volume 1 translations in the coming weeks down below:

5/27/23 - Catching Up! Double Chapter Upload: Ch. 56 & 57 Out Now! Vol. 11 Done; Next is Vol. 1!
Hello again, everyone!
First off, I would like to apologize for the lateness! Without getting too much into it, I’ve just been working a lot lately and I’ve been too exhausted during the times that I would normally work on scanlation that I’ve been passing out more likely than not. (It’s about a 85% chance that I instantly pass out after eating. And, let’s just say that these past three weeks, I’ve been making very unlucky rolls...) Unfortunately, that’s the way things are and I don’t foresee them changing anytime soon. Nonetheless, I will still carry on through regardless, so I thank you all for your understanding as we carry back through Volume 1 again and then onto the last two remaining Volumes...
As catch-up for my delays, I’ve decided to try and stay on schedule and post the chapter due two weeks ago and the chapter due for this two-week schedule. They should both be available on Mangadex right now! Please read them and tell me what you think!
For the future, I would just like to re-iterate that I’m still deciding on going back and making my own version of Volume 1. With that, I will be trying to edit the mistakes and up the quality of my entire scanlation thus far before beginning on Volume 11 and 12. This is a very selfish decision, but I believe it the best before moving onto the finale.
Speaking on the translation parts, I haven’t been able to finish translating the end of Volume 11 nor even completing the translations for Volume 1. Now that Volume 10 is completed, these will be what I will immediately do next. However, based on my current situations, I would expect some delays. I apologize.
And, I think that’s it for now! I thank everyone for sticking around with me and my scanlation and for enjoying this series alongside with me! As always, I am always looking to improve myself, my scanlation, and how I run this account, so, please, if you have any tips or criticism, please do not hesitate to send them my way! (TEMP) - Going to Be (Very) Late for This Upload...
Hey, everyone! Sorry about this - and I’m going to be very unprofessional (as much as a hobbyist can be anyway) - but I have to say that I’m probably going to be very late for this bi-week’s upload. Despite having two full weeks to work on the scanlation, I really only end up leaving all the work until the end, and then I suddenly got really busy and sleepy during those times, so, unfortunately, I have nothing to show for it right now. There’s still around 20 pages left to do and I cannot guarantee that I’ll get it all done today.
So, going forward, I’ll try to get this chapter finished as soon as possible. When I do, I’ll be deleting this post and making the regular official upload post. I apologize for not having anything yet and hopefully I can make it up later. Thank you for your understanding.
EDIT: I have decided not to delete this post just for posterity's sake.

(Sorry, the difficult re-draws are proving too difficult and too much work... So, unfortunately, I most-likely need the entire two weeks to get this latter chapter done. Likewise, as you may have guessed, I haven’t done any work on Volume 11′s last chapter translation or the Volume 1 translation either... Maybe it’s just that time of year where I get really busy again. I’ll try my best to continue doing this, but we’ll see in the coming weeks.

I was rushing to finish this chapter at the last minute and I’ve yet to even start the double-chapter pair coming up. Should be fine if I work hard on it over the next two weeks! (Still haven’t finished Volume 11′s last chapter translation, but I have started slowly translating Volume 1 though...)
I think that’s all I have to say for right now. Slowly, we’re all reaching closer to the inevitable end... 4/1/23 - Chapter 53 is Out!
Hello again, everyone!
First off, the 2nd chapter of Volume 10 should be out on Mangadex right now. Go check it out and let me know what you think please!
(I’ve done it now. I took a peek at the chapters in Volume 12 and I could confidently say that I’ve made the right decision to hold off on Volume 11 to re-do Volume 1. It would be too jarring to read Volume 11 then have to wait for Volume 1 again before continuing with Volume 12. Also, it might make for a good “re-read” as things in the past *do* get brought up again in Volume 12. Anyway, I’m ready for my heart to get ripped into a bajillion pieces again! Can’t wait!)
Still working on Volume 11 and Volume 1 translations. Should be ready by the double-chapter upload (but we all know what happens when I set hard dead-lines...).
And that’s it! We’re getting closer to the end and my mind is unraveling after even peeking at the Volume 12 chapters. (In a way, it reminded me of the ending in the anime which, well, destroyed me in such a way that I’m here doing this whole scanlation thing...) I thank everyone for following me on this journey and reading this manga along with me. 3/18/23 - Start of Volume 10; Chapter 52 is Out!
Hello again, everyone!
(Hey, this is coming out Friday because I won’t be able to upload Saturday. Let’s just pretend this was actually uploaded on Saturday, okay? Thanks.)
The first volume of Volume 10, Chapter 52, should be out on Mangadex right now! Please check it out and let me know what you think.
Also, I have something to talk about in regards of the upcoming schedule. Thus far, I’ve translated 4 out of the 6 chapters of Volume 11 (Thanks to the leisure of the bi-weekly schedule!) and I’ve come to a conclusion. After I upload Volume 10, I will be working on Volume 1 again before we get into the thick of it in Volume 11. I’ve made this decision after pre-reading Volume 11 for the translations and thought it would be best to settle the loose ends (mainly not having Volume 1 for a complete scanlation package and fixing rookie mistakes in the volumes in-between...) before we start the final stretch and get ready for the end! Trust me, I think this is going to be worth it!

3/4/23 - Chapter 51.5 is Out; the End of Volume 9!
Hello again, everyone!
We’re here again at the end of another volume: Volume 9! I started this volume nearly five whole months ago with the end of the “secret surprise birthday” arc and the start of another one of my gigantic breaks... However, we finally got here! The last chapter of this volume should be available on Mangadex right now, so please don’t hesitate to check it out and tell me what you think!
Reminder that I’m currently uploading on a bi-weekly schedule. This doesn’t do so great for the popularity of the series as a whole... However, it does wonders for my psyche and general work load, so I will continue like this for the foreseeable future. I hope everyone can understand that.
With that said, please expect the first chapter of Volume 10 in two week's time!

1/21/23 - Chapter 49 is Out!
Hello again, everyone! We’re back to a bi-weekly upload schedule but I’m still getting used to properly spacing out work so it still gets done on time... (It’s a work in progress.)
Anyway, two announcements. First, chapter 49 of Udon no Kuni/Poco’s Udon World should be up on Mangadex right now! Please go check it out and let me know what you think.
Second, I’m slowly working on Volume 10 translation. Chapter 53 should be done today or the next couple of days [EDIT: It is done.]. If you know Japanese, please refer back to the 1/9/23 post and help revise my translation for accuracy and readability!

1/9/23 - Happy New Year with the Rest of Volume 9! Chapter 48 is Out!
Hello again, everyone!
(Apologies, I successfully uploaded the chapter to Mangadex on schedule two days ago but I simply forgot to hit “post” for this Tumblr post...)
So, I’m starting making the scanlation again and I return with a bi-weekly schedule. I should be able to make an upload on Saturday every two weeks now. As of right now, Chapter 48 should be out on Mangadex so please look forward to them every two weeks!
As for the Volume 10 Translations, I’ve noticed that I’ve never made the tentative dates that I’ve set, so I’ve done away with them! I guess they’ll be finished when I get finished with them!

12/21/22 - An Update: 2+ Months Into the Break, So...
Hello again, everyone! It’s been a while, almost 3 months in fact. I thought I’d do some house keeping and explain myself a little bit. The break has been long and, yet, it never feels like long enough. However, it’s about time I start up again (soon)!
First off, I finished the translations for Volume 9 during the break (Please refer back to the post from 8/27) and I’m moving on to working on the translations for Volume 10! Also, an important revision for Volume 9: Chapter 50′s title has been changed from “Genpei Battle” to “Genpei War” due to a slight hiccup in consistency....
Second off, I’m sure everyone’s wondering when I’ll upload the next chapter(s)... I’ll start creating a stockpile ASAP and I hope to start uploading again starting the first week of the new year (2023). It will be a bi-weekly schedule. I have made this decision to protect my sanity. I hope you all understand.
Lastly, in terms of any big plans for my scanlation of this series (since we’re getting dangerously close to the end!), I’ll probably work until the end of Volume 11 like usual. However, afterwards, I’ll upload, as per the schedule, the chapters for Volume 1 that I skipped out on because other scanlation groups already made them. This is just for neatness’ sake and so I can say that I have a full translation of the entire series. I may also “steal an upload or two” to make necessary edits to existing chapters so the difference in skill and/or scanlation isn’t too jarring. (My skills now are very, very different from those when I first started.) Consider it a “walk down memory lane” before we all dive into the inevitable end. (There will be no survivors.)
And I think that’s it everyone! It’s been nice and I feel a lot better. I hope everyone will have a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! Hey, you titled the latest chapter of Udon no Kuni no Kin'iro Kemari 'loue'. Because of the cake shop, I assume? The font in the art makes it a bit difficult to read the name of that shop. But it is really 'Löwe'. Incidentally, that's German for lion. Perhaps a little nod to Poco's toy. Anyway, thank you very much for all your efforts. With your scanlations I would never have been able to read the story.
Yes, thank you very much! I can't believe I let this mistake slip through multiple stages of editing and revision... The Cake shop is actually Löwe and the original Japanese chapter title was actually ルーヴ. For some reason, I mistranslated it as "Loue" a long time ago and didn't notice the mistake when I went back to it (probably in my "rotten, burned out brain" haste!) Replying to this so others know and I will make the necessary edits as soon as I can. (Unfortunately, the manga aggregator sites won't reflect this change, so the chapter will always be "Loue" for them...) Again, thank you so much!
