Okay but like Janus and Patton being high school sweethearts?? They met in middle school because Patton looked over in his history class (I don’t know why history is always the subject I choose for these things, it just happens, probably because I space out so much in history so like it makes sense for them to do cute but dumb stuff to me) and saw Janus and didn’t think he looked too happy so for weeks he tried to make Janus smile, making silly faces and generally being a goof ball to try and get him to not look so down. Then one day he somehow manages to squeeze a dad joke into his answer to their teacher’s question and Janus starts laughing and oh my goodness, it’s the best thing in Patton’s world so then they start talking. While Patton was trying to make Janus laugh, Janus was trying to make his crush on Patton not obvious because hello, have you seen this adorable boy?!

Years pass and they’re on junior year (that’s eleventh grade? Right?) and Janus’s crush hasn’t gone away while Patton has realized his own crush over the summer so then things get awkward-ish. Patton tries to repress his feelings for the first semester while also subconsciously trying to make hand holding and hugs become a normal thing during the day and then going home and realizing what he did and regret everything. The winter dance happens and they both go without dates and end up spending the whole time together by the snacks. That night was their first kiss. The next day they were officially a couple.

They dated until they were out of high school and all throughout college (if they went) before they got married. -Cuddle Anon
