I took this screenshot of the beautiful lady,,, imagine being WRONG and calling her ugly. Dni with me if you don’t think she’s perfect. We will not be friends.
Why is the Unknown considered ugly? Why do people always describe it very derogatorily, negatively, and rudely?
I’m one of the few people apparently who see people/creatures/entity’s with deformities/disfigured bodies as equals. When I see people describe it by saying it’s a ‘freak’ or ‘nasty’ or ‘gross’ it genuinely hurts bc I see a lot of myself in it. Particularly the cheerleader cosmetic. I am disabled due to a deformity in my spine that has caused me to have a slouched, uneven mouth, crooked shoulders, ribs twisted inwards, and my lower leg/foot heavily tuens inwards and causes me to walk in a different way. When I saw photos of the Unknown, I was actually really excited because I genuinely felt represented. I understand that some people don’t like their disabilities/birth deformities represented in ways like this (it’s valid, I can understand why not), I personally like to see it for myself and my struggles. I also wear a pink bow often in my hair, and an outfits styled similarly to the cheer cosmetic I mentioned prior. Not going to lie, reading comments about how ‘ugly, hideous, nasty,’ etc it is made me kind of tear up. We share so many similarities, and I really feel represented & seen even though yes, Unknown’s appearance doesn’t have anything to do with a birth defect since it’s not that of a human and human features normally — but still. It’s the point of representation, you can see yourself in characterized features/traits just as much.
I guess what I’m saying is, why do people see people/creatures that look like it and their first thoughts are ‘nAsTy’ ???? Maybe my brain is a big galaxy brain, but I never saw deformities / disfigured appearances as gross. Please DBD community, let my disabled self claim this one. I love Unknown and think it’s rad as heck that we have the exact same torso. Unknown is queen
EDIT: I guess my wording is weird. My point is, why do people think deformities are ugly? It’s literally as simple as that.
