hello it’s lydia and there’s no way im gonna be able to make this post short but heRe we go, more abt jeremy below !!

ok so, first of all, jeremy is previously deceased god balder from norse mythology and short recap of balder if u didnt know he’s the god of light, joy (and he’s pretty???) which makes for a great gary sue character fjndfjgdg jkjk i hate myself anyway

balder had nightmares and stuff about dying so his mum made all objects promise not to hurt him except mistletoe so loki tricked this blind guy into throwing a spear at balder made of mistletoe and balder died. and came back to life? idk i stopped reading after that we’re gonna assume he came back to life (:

so in his human life the power of his mom’s promise has faded, but jer still thinks he’s invincible lol so he does a lot of like dumb reckless shit? but not like tough guy stuff, more like putting a fork inside the toaster or licking frozen metal during the winter fdjfdjg. like an eight year old. anywAY

he’s still terrified of mistletoe. that’s why he hates christmas.

he still has nightmares about dying, but now it’s more like the memory of being killed and being dead than an actual prophecy. so he doesn’t sleep a lot bc of all the bad dreams. 

he works as a kidnergarden teacher!! he’s sick of being coddled and like adored the way he was in his afterlife so he likes hanging around kids because they are really carefree and doesn’t think about the dark sides of life like death and pollution and stuff that jeremy hates. and i guess he’s still kind of adored by the kids but not bc he’s the god of light or anything he just makes great pbj sandwiches dfgjfd

he loves plants ! in the myth flowers and stuff were said to grow towards him bc he like “emanated light” or whatever. he’s not as powerful now, but he likes to make the light shine through his windows to make his plants happy ! 

personality wise jer is really kind, like i’m not gonna sugarcoat it he’s... nice ): i know wow. but he’s also really bad at reading people/situations. he doesn’t understand that people can have ulterior motives. 

so he’s super ignorant, naive, foolish, basically a very easy prey to people who want to use him or manipulate him

he’s super pretentious omg, all he ever talks about is like? fancy flower words in latin and how nice ur apartment would look with another succulent. 

he likes to draw flowers and stuff? but he’s like extremely bad, all his drawings look like products of a five-year-old. dfjgjdf he’s unaware tho. 

relationship/friendship wise he doesn’t let people in easily and never really talks about himself or his past. but he’s also really blunt and will ask you all kinds of personal questions without thinking bc he’s o curious about other people and what they’re thinking/feeling etc because of how bad he is at reading people. he needs everything to be spelled out for him lol so if someone doesn’t like him he usually can’t tell.
