Looking for some advice and/or recs... I have the parts (PTs, OPTs, chokes and tubes) for a 2A3 amp build - either one stereo or two mono blocks - and have been considering the Baby Ongaku or Shishido style LW. Curious if there are any other inspiring circuits I should look at. I'd like to have a minimum amount of components in the signal path and low wattage is fine. Leaning toward cap coupled for the sake of safety if a tube failes, but maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion. Thanks!

Your name sounds familiar, didn't you DM me before about this? Anyway, the Baby Ongaku is simply a variation of the SRPP topology which I've done with 6SL7s. I've also built a morrison micro 2A3 which is a Loftin-White variant. The Radiotron SE2A3 and the Choke Capacitance Coupled 2A3 are the two circuits I currently use. Best if you try them all and decide which works best in the context of your set up. Good luck!

hi! im going to commission a build of my ultimate 300B. I have some vintage Tango iron. With all of your experience, what is the best design? Should it be two stage or three stages?

This isn't an easy question to answer because the SE300B amp has to fit into a hifi system context. A competent amp builder should consider the following factors - will you use a preamp, sensitivity (?dB/1W/1M) of your speakers, what's your music source? LPs, CDs, streaming? There are many more but these are what come to mind at the moment... PS: IMHO, there's no such thing as the ultimate amp or hifi set up because everyone has different tastes and expectations.
