Many is the time that a dream has gone wrong
When you're with me
Many is the time when the blame went to you
Please forgive me
But the truth is my friend
And the world isn't quite as I thought it to be
Oh no, I wish I were back home again

This book about Supertramp is just Roger saying the most outrageously rude shit about everyone around him ever and John making the funniest jokes known to mankind

The fact John got in a motorcycle accident the only day he didn't wear his good luck necklace (cuz the chain had broken) is so incredibly wild to me.

Oh I'm gonna scream I hate this
"They did not write a single melody, they did not write a single lyric," Hodgson's attorney Alan Gutman told the jurors in his closing argument
This is an outright lie fuck off

The thing to me is, I've tried to like Roger but the more I keep reading/seeing about his actions just makes him so unlikeable.
The wanting to kick the other three out is a real thing that happened and has been confirmed by John, Dougie AND Bob and is clearly written in the Supertramp book I have.
Roger is truly convinced he is the only reason Supertramp is as successful as they were and that the rest are simply sidemen (a word he straight up used).
And now he tries to spin this whole royalties thing as a mere gift instead of an actual obligation. And that he just decided to stop paying it because it was suddenly a temporary thing instead of an actual written contract.
His attorney is scrambling for things to his defense but most of it does not make sense and continues to go on about how Roger is the only reason Supertramp's success. As if one of Supertramp's trademarks isn't the saxophone, of which all parts were written by John.
It's just laughable to me how for wanting to defend himself he wants to play guitar as if to prove all of his songs sound fine without the others?
One of the things that totally threw me over is John telling how Roger straight up deleted his recordings because Roger simply didn't like it while everyone else liked John's recordings that were put A LOT of work into. Deleted without any discussion.
There's so much more that I have but it's just extremely upsetting to me how John, Bob and Dougie were always treated. Always have had their contributions made to be nothing. While for example Dougie was essential to their survival in the first few years he had joined them in his administrative role.
Bob, John and Dougie are also the only reason Live in Paris was even released because Rick and Roger didn't want to release it at all because of the song writing credits. And they still don't want to release Hammersmith 75 either.
Idk I can't properly phrase it all but this band is my special interest and everything behind it is so so much
I am however glad this case seems to finally be getting somewhere as it started with court dates in 2021.
Oh i am so mad at Roger. They settled with Rick at least but are still going with Roger.

Oh this lawsuit is getting worse by the day. Roger's attorney for real said this. Using fucking Supertramp song references.
Also he is straight up lying about the documents in the initial case from like 21 you can see all the documents about the deal.
Speaks volumes to me that Rick settled and Roger didn't. Now I think Rick still is an asshole for doing this but Roger is taking it so much further. Including the history of Roger wanting to kick them out of the band, saying Bob is a bad drummer and saying he hates sax and so much more. It's just so ...
