I find it rather enjoyable 💅🏻
If a Baroque composer’s music doesn’t start with a noise like an entire orchestra or at LEAST a harpsichord falling down a flight of stairs, lightly guided by the hand of an archangel, that dude is wasting your time.

Finally someone who understands me 😚
um u “like classical music” but don’t even listen to John Merbecke (c. 1510 – c. 1585), producer of the first musical setting for the English liturgy, who later published The Booke of Common Praier Noted 1549? ok 😂😂👌

Thank you for the warm welcome!
Ah well for me, I got into opera plus tard dans ma vie. I believe I was 50 years old. I composed mostly les tragédies en musique and les opéra-ballets. The hardest thing was finding a good librettist, I tended to struggle with that mostly because I kept burning through librettists cause none of them understood what I wanted. Other than that, I was very successful with my operas and caused massive controversy (hence the division between Lullyistes and Rameauneurs)~
Ouverture
Bonjour~~
Not enough talk about French Baroque composers on this godforsaken website 👀 Luckily, I’m here to change that
Opera and music theory are my passions so you’ll be seeing lots of that and lots of french too hon hon hon
I can’t stress this enough: I don’t interact with Lullyistes
Merci ♡
