defending the hell out of your brothers during your time on the streets.

i don't imagine orphans to be treated well, so you'd have to go through hell and back trying to keep your brothers safe and fed. even when you manage to get a good job and find a small cozy place to live, you're overly vigilant of your surroundings. it's basically second nature for you to be quick to notice if something is off.

rayne occasionally fights you when you're neglecting yourself to take care of them, knowing full well that he and finn were done for if something happened to you.

so the two of them take care of you as much as you take care of them, even when you have to use your personal magic to defend them.

at first you utilized small pebbles and rocks to use them like projectile missiles to people who bother you. you sometimes create wood chips as fake bullets too, which essentially made you a silent machine gun of sorts.

it isn't until you're recruited by the bureau of magic after the flame cane at the time (the title of flame cane is inherited from heir to heir in the gehenna family) noticed your potential, so they recruited you to start receiving proper training under them.

rayne and finn were more than happy for you, thinking that they would be able to stick with you throughout your training.

only for that to be untrue, but rayne and finn were given full scholarships to easton academy, which how they started attending in the first place.

it's was difficult for them to adjust to a new life without you at their side all day every day, but they had to get used to it at some point. rayne had fully committed himself to becoming a divine visionary so he could give you and finn a good life, especially you to thank you for the hard work you've put into taking care him and finn.

finn, though much younger than you, wanted to be someone you could be proud of. he didn't have a direct goal of being a visionary, but he was willing to do it if that's what would make you happy.

your brothers write letters to you often, asking you how you're doing, how people are treating you, if you're eating okay, and so on.

you answer all their questions, living with the flame cane in the gehenna's estate where you meet and befriend kaldo. you also tell them about your training, how you've started training with the bow and crossbow to fully utilize your personal magic.

it's also around this time that the gehenna family start talking about arranging a marriage between you and kaldo because the two of you have hit it off really well, you're only a little bit younger than kaldo, and you're plenty strong and deserving of being his future wife when he becomes the next flame cane.

you don't tell your brothers that though, because you're only fifteen. rayne is eleven but has the stubbornness of a grown man. finn's nine years old and already so shy, and you could tell they were going to attack you from both sides and say that you're too young to get married, and how the whole situation should be avoided.

granted, the marriage won't happen unless kaldo fully proves himself to be worthy of the title and officially becomes the flame cane, so there was time before you'd eventually have to tell them.

by the time rayne is in high school, your relationship with kaldo has gone public, and it was only in due time you receive an angry letter of complaint from both your brothers, asking how you could do this to them and how they're so sad you never told them about this nobleman guy you've never breathed a word about.

if they weren't in school, they would've gone to the gehenna estate and nagged you in person, but they can't so the letters have to speak for them.

they both get over the shock quickly after you send them a letter saying that kaldo is a great guy, you've known him for years, you just didn't think he liked you back which is why you never said anything about him until then.

they trust you more than anything, so they try to mentally accept the fact that you're barely an adult and already going to be married off to some guy they've never met. (it didn't work)

the first time you visit the academy is when you're accompanying kaldo to oversee the divine visionary candidate exam, which is where you finally meet rayne face to face after so many years.

you can imagine the smug grin on kaldo's face when he allows you to go see rayne personally, knowing that you've worried for many days and nights about your brothers.

finn, despite being in middle school, is also called up to the stadium to meet you, and the three of you have your little reunion in the waiting room.

this is also when they meet kaldo for the first time, finally seeing who their future brother-in-law was going to be.

they really didn't expect you to marry such a... eccentric fellow, but kaldo obviously loves and respects you, and you treat him with the same love and respect, so neither of them feel like they need to say much.

rayne does give him a glare before you and kaldo leave and say something like "you make her cry and i'll butcher you" only to get smacked on the upside of the head for it.

you give finn a kiss on the cheek, a very extended hug, ruffle his hair, and plant another kiss on his head before you leave, while rayne grumbles in the corner.

when kaldo also officiates his position as the flame cane, he proposes to you DURING THE CEREMONY

it's the one thing that's broadcasted nationwide and for all people to see, and kaldo thought it was a great idea to introduce you to the world as his bride.

finn and rayne were watching it too, thinking it wasn't anything special- wait, what's their sister doing there? IS HE FUCKING PROPOSING??!?!?

finn nearly passed out from shock.

rayne's head went blank because he doesn't know how to deal with the whole situaiton.

they're obviously invited to the wedding, but no, rayne wasn't crying, finn may have cried himself a river, but that's not shocking! (rayne was fighting back tears for his life, even more so when you started crying because of kaldo's vows)

by the the rayne finally becomes a divine visionary, you're there at the ceremony with kaldo. heavily pregnant.

kaldo... really did not waste any time.

whatever y'all did on your honeymoon, it worked. but rayne's just happy to have a niece or nephew soon

you've sent finn a letter explaining your condition and photographs of his niece/nephew-to-be.

both of your brothers are praying day and night the baby looks like you just because they're petty kaldo swiped you off your feet.
