If your f/o has a voice/can talk, please do not imagine them singing/singing to you. If they sing in canon do not imagine their canonically beautiful voice singing to you. Don't imagine them picking out a song to sing for you because it's your favourite or it reminds them of you. Just don't. Whatever you do my god don't imagine them serenading you. Do. Not. Imagine singing together with them. I imagined all this and I'm dead on the floor.
Shout out to the selfshippers who can't and/or struggle to gush about their f/os. Whether it's because you feel like people are annoyed and don't want to hear it, or you just can't find the words to do so. Not being able to gust about your f/o doesn't mean you love them any less, and they love you regardless of if you can gush about them or not
hey man your f/o just laid their head on your chest. yeah like all the tension left their body and they fell into a comfortable silence. yeah their breathing slowly fell into time with yours. uh huh yeah they started tapping along with your heartbeat. no yeah theyre gonna take a nap maybe or just watch a movie w you in comfortable silence. mmhm their voice is gonna get raspy. yeah. yeah sorry man it happens sometimes.
BREAKING NEWS your f/o was just seen daydreaming about you with a goofy smile on their face and little cartoon hearts floating above their head. more at 11
it’s sooooo important to imagine you/your s/i wrapping up your f/os injured hand. your fingers brushing theirs, heat rising in your cheeks, murmuring “is that too tight?”
all the while they can barely breathe with you so close to them, being so tender with them. they forget they’re even hurt. they just stare at you in awe before answering, “ah- no, that’s fine.” heat rises to their face as well, “….thank you.”
Yes, selfshipping should be for you. It should make you happy. You should make things for yourself.
But also, humans are social creatures, right? We like to share things with others and make connections, right?
So why should we look people in the eye, people who get 0 notes and interactions, and tell them that they should be doing all this for themselves, when other people get fanart for their ships?
Would it really kill people to interract more with people they don't know? People who can't draw as well or as constantly, or have less stamina, or just aren't talked to very much? Would that really hurt?
