What's the deal with Amity square and it being so restrictive with what pokemon it allows? I have a service tangela for my anxiety and they turned me away at the gate even though she had visible service 'mon tags. Is there a reason they're so fussy about that?

from what i understand, amity square is a private establishment owned by a man named mr. backlot and not a feature provided by the city of hearthome. he is therefore allowed to make whatever stipulations about the pokemon allowed onto his property that he wants, regardless of how pointless those stipulations seem. i guess he has preferences for certain pokemon?

that being said, by sinnoh law certified assistance pokemon must be allowed into any establishment open to the public. provided that your tangela meets the requirements set in place by the MHLW, she is legally entitled to enter with you. i've heard of people with service pokemon in sinnoh being turned away from establishments because of a lack of understanding of the region's laws, so you might need to bring that up to the owner. if he persists, though, you can report the establishment to the ministry.

Some of the funniest complaints people have left after camping or taking a trail;

- you need less regulations on fire type pokemon to make it easier to start campfires

- how are the Stantler supposed to know where to cross? Are they familiar with the sign color?

- far too many Spinarak, Venemoth, and Beedrill along the Deep Woods Trails

- escalators at the steep areas would be nice

- The Summit is not accessible to subaquatic Pokémon

- is it 5 miles on foot or by car?

When the pokedex talks about a Fire Type Pokemon's body temperature, it actually means its maximum body temperature. Magmar aren't usually 2200 degrees, but they can get there during a battle.

do Tinkaton actually hunt Corviknight, or do they just scavenge off of already dead ones. because I find it a little hard to believe that a slow moving creature like Tinkaton could catch up with a fast flying bird like Corviknight, especially if Tinkaton take out bird pokemon by launching rocks at them, which a steel type like Corviknight wouldn't be harmed much by that.

no, they...absolutely do hunt them. there's a reason we don't use corviknight for our taxis. as tough as corviknight's outer armor is, it's not enough to stand up to the sheer force that tinkaton can hit a rock with, especially when that force is concentrated on such a small area.

as for your disbelief...i mean, someone who's never met a machop might not believe that they can pick up and throw a graveler despite only weighing 20 kg, but that doesn't mean they can't. pokemon can do some incredible things!

what do baby Falinks look like,,,

they hatch as one falink, actually. during mating season, a group (called a phalanx) of falinks will gather, mate, and lay eggs in a communal hollow, after which they leave the eggs to their fate. the young- who are capable of combat from birth- will then compete to determine who the most dominant are; these then become the "brass," to which the remaining falinks will join themselves to form a full unit.

a baby falink is about the size of a large orange, by the way.

do you know any good arthropod pokemon that have a decently long life span? I really like bugs and want to raise one, but I don't think I can handle the heartbreak of having one with a shorter life span die after like, 2 years or so.

wimpod can actually live a fairly long time if cared for properly! i've heard of them living up to 10 year, longer if evolved. i think they're great little pokemon to raise, too; it takes a while to earn their trust, and they're pretty much always going to be fearful of strangers, but they'll come chill on their trainer's lap or arm once they get comfortable.

you really need to get more than one and preferably at least three, since they're swarmers who feel more comfortable with friends, but i know plenty of people who love their wimpod.
