The pursuit of knowledge, much like the artistic process, could be fraught with challenges. The human mind could not function on one singular focus for too long a period of time: it required rest and other forms of stimuli in order to renew itself. Eventually, frustration would rise and burn out would ensue.

Albedo was no stranger to this particular state of being. His assistant's rising frustration radiated from her bundled up form even while he focused on grinding starsilver ore into a fine powder. Perhaps he could attempt to intervene, but the homunculus had long since learned it to be a fruitless endeavor: Sucrose was a stubborn young woman. When she had her sights set upon a specific task or goal, her mind would never allow her to rest.

Which made it something of a surprise when she suddenly pivoted on her heels, loudly requesting to build a snowman with him. Not in a bad way — if anything, this would be a perfect method of taking her mind off research. A proper break, and she'd come to the idea all on her own.

          “ Alright. ”

It would only take a few moments to clean up his work area sufficiently and prepare his sketchbook for this project. It would be easier to decorate their snowmen if he drew the accessories and alchemized them in the field.

           Growing frustrations had the assistant lingering near the entrance of Albedo’s camp, almost pacing as she worked equations out quietly to herself while sucking on one of the candies she created. The glimmering snow caught her attention briefly, and Sucrose noted a fresh blanket recently covered the mountain. 

Was a distraction what she needed? Would it help?

Suddenly she whipped around to face the alchemist, fists clenched against her side as she asked—     “ Mister Albedo! Do you want to build a snowman?! ”        Oh dear— was that odd? Should she explain?      “ I-I’ve never built one before… I’d like to try it. ”         Others appeared to garner much enjoyment from the activity.      @khemianprinz​

Currently, Albedo does not play Genius Invokation TCG. He is, however, aware of the game and is glad to see it thriving within Mondstadt.

After all, he drew all of the art under his pseudonym, Calx.

#it hasnt been mentioned who draws the tcg but this is my dweeby lil hc #at some point if he gets into the game he'll probably use himself klee and kaeya as character cards... #but he and klee dont have character cards just yet #he would use sucrose but sadly anemo and geo do not mix properly #ooc; #headcanon;

He’s not mad, just disappointed. More than likely, if Albedo was human, the pain would be too unbearable to even speak; as it was, it rippled through his form from the shoulder where teeth met chalky flesh, a heated point that cried out to be soothed. At most, he merely hisses at the sudden blooming pain, but his voice did not waver.

The cracks beneath his jacket would need to be repaired at his earliest convenience, which meant his scarlet quartz paint would have to wait. A setback, but life was full of little surprises such as these.

It should be. Albedo is well aware that this is not actually a bird of any variety. It won’t be submitted to any bird encyclopedias or the like. That said, all entities are worthy of observation, and the alchemist finds that art is one way by which the world can be cataloged.

It exists, and therefore it is enough.

Cute posing is taken into account, as well; he will make sure to get its good side.

          “ Birds have many states: cute when fluffed up, elegant when in flight... and strange. ”

The strange ones always fascinated him most, and within a few moments, he’d opened his sketchbook to show Tem drawings of a nightjar with its beak fully open, and a green heron in both compact and zooped position.
