"Well, you're one to talk!" Gohan couldn't help but laugh and smile at the much smaller creature. Sure, the Hybrid guessed it was an alien based on the different characteristics such as size and overall look but it never hurt to check! "Are you an alien? You know, not from this world? You kind of look different from other beings in my world." If he was, well, Gohan could relate to that - Well, half relate, seeing how he was half of a now-extinct alien race, it made sense.

"Y'know, I'm a half-alien! My dad was an alien too! He looked kinda like me! Different hair though..." And build, and skin tone. Many things were different between father and son, but he wouldn't mention all those details to the small, furry blue creature! At least not unprompted...

Right... He realized how weird and out of nowhere he came off as. Bulma was right, he did need to work on his social skills but thirteen years of fighting left little room for practicing niceties. Still, despite her reply, his gut still told him she wasn't bad. A little standoff-ish but that was to be expected considering the circumstances, he didn't follow her, she looked tense, as if ready for a fight and he didn't want to risk a fight, not now, not in an unfamiliar land.

"That's the thing, I don't know who you are and it's not like I'd turn you in for the bounty, I'm not interested in that." He didn't really care about the money, he simply wanted to know the story behind it because it seemed interesting and from hearing people talk, the Marines weren't there to help, and it annoyed Gohan to no end. For all he knew, she was either a victim or a casualty of something else.

"If it helps... I'm not from around here, I don't know a thing about this place. Sorry if I gave off the wrong impression. I'm just..." Lost? Yes, unused to his surroundings? Also yes. "I'm just trying' to help these people. And if I gotta get into a fight with the Marines, well, I won't back off from that. I just like knowing all the facts, you know?" He then gave her a small smile, mostly because he was still afraid to mess up, and bowed slightly.

He'd only been in this island for a few days, a week at most, but that had been enough time to see the wanted posters and the rewards that accompanied them. Truth be told, he was curious about these guys, he would've gone out to find them but with no energy signature to guide him, it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack... When they stopped on the island he thanked his luck and whatever god there was and, well, Gohan let his curiosity get the best of him.

It wasn't hard spotting her in a crowd, after all, orange hair like hers was pretty distinctive so he figured he'd approach her in a friendly, calm manner and well... Go from there. He hadn't planned that far ahead but supposed he'd cross that bridge when he got there. He tapped, raised his hands to show he was unarmed and spoke. "So... What did you actually do to earn those bounties?"

He doubted it was some evil thing or the like, she didn't have that look in her eyes. The kind of look that said 'I do bad things just for fun'. He'd met people like that and she just... Didn't trigger the alarms in his head, he figured it was best to give her the benefit of the doubt.
