Luke 12:33-36 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a secret place or under a bowl, but on a lampstand so the people who come in can see. Your eye is a light for the body. When your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of darkness. So be careful not to let the light in you become darkness. If your whole body is full of light, and none of it is dark, then you will shine bright, as when a lamp shines on you."

It’s so interesting when you meet a person and they sound as if they find it so easy to socialise and adapt to different groups- it’s like they have the gift of the gab. Apparently I’m one of those people. But the truth is…how do we know that some are less socially awkward than others? If people paid proper attention, they’d notice that I have to hide my hands behind my back when I talk in fear of others noticing them shaking, that I stutter when I’m nervous and that my brain is constantly ticking trying desperately to plan out what I am going to say next. Yet I am always classed as ‘confident’.

Love
Love is in the picked flower the next door neighbour boy passed over the fence. Love is in the hot chicken noodle soup your mother cooks for you when you're too sick to get out of bed. Love is in the bandaid your teacher gave you when you scraped your knee at school. Love is in the hug your younger brother gives you when you've had a bad night at work. Love is in the laughter you wake up to of your little cousin sleeping in the other room. Love is in the look your partner gives you when you look into their eyes for that very first time. Love is in the first hello and the last goodbye to your best friend.

Everyone is apart of something great- it's called life. And everyone's life is different. In fact every day is different...every day is a journey and a new chapter in your life. We all just need to go for it and make the most of the gift we have been given. We get one chance at it and with that chance we are blessed with love, faith and hope. And love IS the greatest gift of all.
I want to be a part of something great.
