do you have any favorite artists? maybe ones you take inspiration from or really look up to?

i’m supposed to be getting ready to head out in a bit but YOU!!! YOUU!!!!!!!!! PURPOSEFULLY TRAPPING ME!!!!! anyway omg i have a list of the artists i really like on my listography but its not up-to-date thank u for reminding me that!

in no particular order ken sugimori, shigeki maeshima, kazuya nuri, masayuki doi (particularly in smtiv) have really latched onto my head as i progressed thru my art over the years i think. more recently, most of the snk artists especially shinkiro, and eisuke ogura’s smooth watercoloury painting styles are so pleasant to look at. ryoko kui’s art studies and little doodles for building up on dungeon meshi are also so inspiring they have been enough to break me out of my really bad art block 😭😭!!!

i think the key illustrator that really has stood out to me the most is shigeki maeshima! PLS LOOK 🫵

tatakau shisho is a light novel ive talked abt on here several times and it had such an intense grip on me in middle school and i think his work for the series is some of the most gorgeous art i’ve ever seen in his portfolio and for any series even, and to this day is still what i grab my inspo from😭😭

idk if i could achieve the details he has in his art ever but omg liking his works was my personality and im so sad tatakau shisho was never really known enough for ppl to notice jus how beautiful the artwork (and the story) was. on the plus side some of yall might know him from drawing for fe heroes so I THINK HES DOING GREAT IM SO HAPPY FOR HIM FOR THAT

anyway as a summary i think the pattern is i really like seeing smooth crisp lines and velvetty palettes, expressive eyes, REALLY DETAILED HAIR yeah. i started looking deeper into art as a kid with maeshima’s works and eventually got to here 🫡 my art is a little more on the cartoon-y pixel-y style recently but that is def also due to many more wonderful influences (see above!). im working towards incorporating my style into that flowey watercoloury vibe! eventually!

Honestly docs (and all non-custom leather boots) just take a lot of time wearing to bend and adjust to the shape of your foot. If they don’t fit snugly and are moving around creating pain, I recommend lambs wool or cut up tissues to fill gaps.

If it’s more like ball of foot or heel pain, I recommend switching the sole out for a better one (the factory ones ain’t the best) and honestly, wearing thick socks and wearing them a lot to get them used to the shape of your foot. It sucks for a bit, but what I always did was like wear them inside the house and just walk around in circles for a while to break them in…. Good luck!

hey! Fellow doc wearer here - tbh my latest pair took like three or four weeks to get comfortable, what I did to get them better is just wear them around the house 10-20 minutes a day with thick socks (or like until they hurt) and they broke in that way

THANK U GUYS FOR THE ADVICE ACTUALLY THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY 😭😭 the verdict seems to be to just wear them more often with thick socks and maybe find a better insole to help things a little bit 🫡 will do!

#el-mail #i wore them to anirevo all day and my feet were so numbbbb so that kinda scared me off of wearing them but ive been massaging it #and i found out theres a factory insole in it and it fits a lot better now and the massaging did help reduce blisters😭 #i had a spare insole that protects my heel its jus the ball of my foot thats the remaining issue rn and i think its time for me to start #wearing them fr to get it all molded to my feet

THAT WOULD BE SO SICK, BASS PLAYER VIBES IS THE BIGGEST COMPLIMENT I COULD EVER GET idk if im cool enough irl tho HAHAHAHSH, i did play the flute for 5 yrs tho but had a bit of a rough time during my last year of hs band so i kinda quit music altogether but maybe someday ill return to my roots…..😤
