My teriyaki steak for dinner.
I marinate it with sake, ginger, and garlic and dress it with the simple homemade teriyaki sauce.ย 
Since the teriyaki sauce contains soy sauce as part of the ingredients, and the marinate contains ginger, it has a different flavor from the regular salt and pepper steak.

I loved mashed potato patties since I was a kid.ย  My mom used to make it for me all the time when I was in primary school.
What sets my mom's recipe apart from most Western mashed potato patties is that she added ground meat. This gives the patty a unique texture and flavor that's simply delicious.ย 
If you're not a fan of pork, no worries! You can always use ground beef instead.ย

Salted eggs have become popular to the point where they are used in almost every dish. So yesterday, I also followed the trend and made salted egg squid. I include some curry leaves and powder to make it a more authentic Malaysian Chinese dish.ย 
However, not all salted eggs have the same level of saltiness. In my case, I had to add some salt to the salted egg sauce before coating the squid with it.ย

Make Ayam Pongteh today. Really enjoy the flavor that combines palm sugar and taucu (fermmented bean paste).
